Despite expectations not all CEOs are quite so on top of things at a company, Gabe really sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Which sounds like it should be obvious for a man in his position, but isn't always the case with some of these massive companies.
Valve is still not some giant corporation. It is privately owned company of several hundred people.
Well most CEOs are there to make money, burn the company down, and go to the next one.
@@8Paul7 very true, but it's large in the sense that they have a large International Market and they are a household name
Lol do you really forgot about the csgo skins?
He should know what he’s talking about. He worked at Microsoft and helped create the Windows operating system.
I'm honestly really excited to get my hands on a Steam Deck.
I’m not. It’ll fail like literally all Steam products

One thing is sure. There will never be a Steam Deck 3.
How many different models are there right now?
@@Hhhhhh-sz9ud It's zero-indexed, 0th model, 1st model, and 2nd model.
They need to fix the name of the operating system though.
SteamOS 3.0? That's illegal!
Just get the Aya Neo instead, at least they seem to know wtf they are doing... Plus it has nearly the same specs with a better CPU. (AMD Ryzen)

Fun Fact : Gabe never talked that long to a human in 20 years.
Lol he only talks with Vortigaunts.
Well done IGN for doing a relaxed interview with some introspective questions, smart decision.
Really like that he keeps talking about VR. Its the only genuinely new and compelling gaming technology and makes other mediums feel archaic at this point.
his interest in brain computer interfaces should've been explored, instead this crappy interviewer glosses over it fast and moves onto a different subject. Lame.

Nah man it's just another patch

Watching this video now at the end of 2023 with the oled now out there. It's safe to say a lot of the vision they had were accomplished and that's awesome. Down to opening up the market space for handheld pcs. Thank you Valve and everyone who was a part of this.

You must be lost, the devs announced they are working on HL3 when HLA launched 2 years ago.
