And to get back in I’m taking you on a journey on how to change your rear brake pads on your vw Tiguan, this will also work on most VW’s with an e-brake.

Here Rodriguez; Well….it gives us a general idea how to be a Do-it-yourself’er! This is how the rest of us who don’t know how to do brakes would make the same attempt. Thanks for your courage showing us how to go about it👍🏽 Backyard mechanics at its best👍🏽 With all due respect ✌🏽
I appreciate you taking the time to help us with this video. Here is another good video on this subject that shows how to reset the electronic brakes.
Thank you sir, I hope the video was a help
You are literally… give me a second… the best. Thanks!
I’m glad you liked the video, I hope it was helpful to you
That wire clip on the inside brake pad is supposed to go on the inside of the caliper, not on the outside like you have it. Just leave the wire clip on the brake pad and install in behind the rotor. Then when you slip the caliper over it, the springs push the pad radially inward.
Thanks yeah, a few people have told me this, the clips weren’t on the pad when I opened the box so I thought they go on the outside
Yeah....I noticed that right away. Good eye!!
Ty for your time filming appreciate it very much
Oh boy, that looks VERY backstreet to me! A OBD2 scanner I’d £70 from Amazon and will wind back and reset the electric handbrake.
What about if I leave the car on and in neutral not in park it should be the parking brake release?
OK, so can we push these in with a C clamp? And what about the electronic brake?
And what year was this thing?
2020 Tiguan has 7MM hex on slide pins, same as my 06 passat. Check with Mirror before you ruin your T45 bit like me 🙃
Next time I do a brake job I will definitely keep that in mind, thank you 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
It depends on the car version👍🏼
Did I miss the part where you wound the motor back, or didn't you bother?
Why isn’t a device needed to turn the motors in for the Calipers in? I’m sure that has an electric E brake. What am I missing ?
You are right, However that device is quite expensive about +- 800usd, the tool kit I used was about 25 dollars. It does have an electric e brake but the concept is the same, imo. Ie with hydraulics,So it still uses liquid to push the piston
All the tool does is apply even pressure to the piston allowing it to go back into the calliper nice and safely
Did you need to reset the electronic parking brake or does using the caliper rewind tool do that for you?
I used the caliper tool to get the piston back into the caliper. once I completed the brake job, I pumped my brakes to get them back to normal. I hope this answers your question 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Or do you mean reset via a OBD2 reader, if so, I didn’t get any error messages after completing the job, so I did not reset anything.
You have to reset E-Parking with diagnostic tool otherwise you will have fault in the system.... I hope this help
Eso está mal puesto. Los ganchos tienen que quedar dentro de la pinza .
Where in sa are you, if I pretoria I'd appreciate some help on this

Sir, you shouldn't do a video if your skills and a proper guidance are filled with errors and mistakes.
With all due respect.
Literally.
