A 20 min sauna is scientifically proven to have positive health benefits. And probably the single best therapy for your heart, circulatory system, Alzheimer's prevention and longevity. Cold plunges are good for dopamine release but that's about it. How ever, a cold shower, or a roll in the snow after a sauna feels amazing.

I've been very ill and too weak to stand up in kitchen just eating leftovers.
Today feeling a bit stronger so cooked tin red salmon mixed with 2 eggs.
However the moxture was runny so i poured it into my 4 piemaker appliance. They came out perfectly formed patties.
The piemaker is great for all sorts of patties esp if you have a runny mix. Also so easy to clean up with no stick surface.

@@jasewildheartHi, the Original Tabasco is only hot peppers, vinegar and salt. They're fermented (aged) up to three years, so it's not strictly carnivore, but the fermentation is good. Bella's husband is not strictly carnivore, although she is. Note that she was having plain, whole milk yogurt with no seasonings.
It's so helpful to ease into carnivore and to have an occasional bit of something you know doesn't bother you, but low carb, of course.

Thank you! I used to live in Alaska, where I had access to wild-caught pacific salmon, cooked all sorts of ways, including salmon patties. Yum!
For some reason, I’d never thought about making tuna patties.
Yesterday, I listened to this video, as I was puttering in my garden. Maybe I was already hungry, or maybe I just had not yet decided on what we were having for dinner. Who knows? As I listened to you talk through your recipe, I realized that, while we had tuna in the cupboard, we had no panko - bread, pork, or any other. We also didn’t have crackers, which is what I used to use for those salmon patties. Nothing! Ugh!
Due to brain damage, I don’t drive anymore. I didn’t want to send my husband to the store simply for Panko. Besides, he was spending his day watching multiple 🏈 games.
My craving for tuna patties stayed with me for the rest of the day.
The night before, I’d made some delectable dinner rolls that were nearly the size of hamburger buns. We are omnivores, so the carnivores can just ignore my bread comments… I was feeling determined to make our version of your recipe for dinner.
I used two cans of tuna, two eggs, dill, salt, pepper, a little garlic, onion, and cayenne. I said a few hopeful words over this concoction, to give it all a bit of extra “oomph” to hold itself together, heating my pan with a small amount of oil in it. I formed the roll-sized patties and carefully placed them in the hot pan, gently flipping a few times for even browning and a bit of crispness. Oh - I also included a couple of handfuls of shredded cheese - ours is a 3-cheese blend. Anyway, i definitely had to be very careful with the patties; without the panko they wanted to fall apart on me, but in the end, they held together and were delicious.
Thank you for the information and inspiration. Much appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Monica

Tuna is one of the most under rated foods for a carnivore WOE. I eat canned tuna in some way almost every other day. These tuna cakes look delicious, Bella!

Can't wait to try the tuna patties. Great table conversation. This is first time I have heard carnivores discussing cold therapies that are trendy right now. I personally have reservations due to something I have recently learned about stress raising cortisol to a level that converts proteins to glucose. Most carnivores are enjoying better levels of health and lowered inflammation due to fueling our body with ketones. While many talk about the short term dopamine high they experience after a cold blast, I prefer to fiercely guard the longer term benefits of ketone preserving choices over the risk of raising blood glucose by spiking my cortisol through use of a thermal stressor.

I would not do cold therapy. However I don’t do well in heat. I feel terrible during the summer. I thrive in cooler and foggy weather. I live in Northern California so fall and winter are best for my comfort. I can’t wait to make these tuna cakes! Thank you. 😊

Thank you for all the work you put into sharing your recipes they are an inspiration and calm. My anxiety 😅 about having variety in my carnivore journey. I’m 3 weeks in and the 1st most obvious thing I noticed was the drastic reduction of inflammation and how it helped my back pain. I wake up day after now wondering is today when my pain will show up again !! But it has not and I have also lost 16lbs and feel more balanced everyday. I have the odd craving but I have noticed that I’m easily satiated after eating a nice cut of meat. Welcome to Las Vegas I am local…… please advise when cafe Bella will be open for tuna cakes (husbands kind) and some of that delicious ice cream I watched you make. 😁

Lived in Vegas for about four years. It was great for the first year, hanging out by the pool all the time and barbecuing. Got tired of the heat by the second year and couldn’t wait to get out of it by the time I finally left. There is a lot of beauty there though and it’s a great place to visit in my opinion. You should check out Valley of fire if you haven’t already.

I lived as a child near Seattle at Fairchild AFB, we went to a beautiful park they showed lights on the waterfall, I was 7 and tried to walk out to the teens playing further out in Porcupine Bay, I was rescued and resuscitated. Mom had us taking swimming lessons two weeks later. I would love to go in May for Lilac Season it is a beautiful place. ❤
