Thank you for sharing! I was vegetarian and vegan for 30 years…my hair got thin and dry, very anxious…as if I was vanishing day by day…
I now eat animal products from local organic farmers, I pray over my food and I never felt better! Self love is soooo important and I still do care for animals a lot! ❤

Eczema is directly related to a Candida Fungal overgrowth. A vegetarian diet would exasperate this overgrowth due to the high rate of grains, sugars, and fruits. I was raised vegetarian too and had digestive issues starting at 12 years old.

So I've heard people explain vegan is an ethical stance and not a diet, so i looked up the definition and the vegan society who made it up said it was not a diet but can certainly cover that subject. that plant-based is the diet, and that if for whatever reason we couldn't get what we needed nutritionally without hurting or killing animals, we could still stand to move away from using animals in any other capacity especially when it is unnecessary and causes needless suffering, that's the definition of vegan.
I think this makes more sense than a diet.
I'm not vegan, i think some animal pain and suffering is necessary and good as well as the agency we take away from them to do that, since there is no way to get protein any other way, but it is wrong for entertainment or for the taste. The way they do bullfighting for instance, or when animals go stir-crazy in zoos rather than living their best life in the wild is just sad to see. Dog fighting or killing animals in "halal" way where they bleed out to death fully conscious just seems wrong too.
I think being not vegan or just not giving a shit about animal welfare is more for people who live in areas where they can't grow food and they say a prayer for the animal they hunt out of necessity. But they don't have resources or desire to cause unnecessary pain because they aren't making Sea World out there or anything, so in a way that would make them more vegan than the rest of us. What are your thoughts?

@@ojk14325b I agree - veganism is a stance, not a diet. The diet is called being "plant based", or "vegan diet" (not the same word as "veganism"/"vegan"). You can eat plant-based, but also wear new leather, which is not vegan. However, the part avout protwin not being available in anything aside from meat is totally wrong - just take a look at all of the legume-options availavle
I think the main issue might be the composition of the total food. Animals produce fats that are mot available in plants, and that the human body doesn't seem to be quite good at producing itself, which seems to lead to some brain issues as people get older 🤔 From what I've seen, a low/no-added-sugar diet is the healthiest diet

My vegetarianism is based on animal cruelty in intense farming. I feel that if we can source our animal products from the most humane places, such as farmer's markets, or a local farm, it's the best we can do. I eat fish a couple times a week, and eggs. But never dairy, or meat. The cruelty, the forced feeding, hormones, antibiotics, I can't condone it, so I don't take part. I use vitamin supplements, and avoid all grains and lentils.I went veggie 20 years ago, to beat my D2, which it did very successfully.

Plants can useful but definitely shouldn't be the only thing we consume. I believe that when people say animal fats cause health issues, that the oils it's cooked in is causing the issue not the meat. Crisco was created in the early 20th century and is a prime example of an unhealthy veggie oil that is hydrogenated.

Thank you for sharing your story. I really appreciated your concluding remarks, especially.
It sounds like the vegetarian, then vegan, diet set off rampant, systemic inflammation (nutrient deficiency and all that), especially in your GI tract. I’ve been battling chronic Lyme for many years and the cross-over of symptoms is remarkable.
I don’t want to throw a bunch of unsolicited advice your way, but in case you have any further inflammation flares, acupuncture, Epsom salt baths, and lymph drainage massage have all helped my body process toxins and decrease inflammation, in case looking into either of those can help support your body and mind as you continue your journey towards recovery. You have suffered so much, and I am so inspired by your vulnerability and your strength. Wishing you nothing but healing and happiness. ❤❤
(Also, total side note, and not dietary, but I recently discovered a skin balm made with tallow and my skin loves it SO MUCH! It melts into the skin and is so nourishing and hydrating. Which makes sense since tallow matches our natural oil so closely. I’ve always loved using a variety of plant oils on my skin, but tallow beats them all!)

My diet consisted of beef, some poultry, seafood, eggs dairy and everything cooked in butter or lard. After 10 years I was talked into a vegetarian diet. That lasted 7 months and I got so sick I went back to meat and never left it. This from an avid gardener! My organically grown fruits are well received by friends and the ducks, but other than citrus and plantains I eat none of it. Thank you for your honesty here, and sharing your journey to better health! I was a very long time vegan, over 20 years; I started out lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 10 years before that. I am 59 years old, and just began my own journey back to health, and started adding in animal products to my diet about 1 year and 8 months ago.
I never imagined I would ever eat animal products again in my life, but after decades of suffering from "mysterious" health issues that no doctors could seem to find a reason for, in 2021 I decided to try something different with how I eat. My story is very long and involved, much too long to go into here. But I definitely relate to the bloating, explosive diarrhea, weakness, anemia, and the assorted emotional/mental disruptions (extreme anxiety/panic, irritability, obsessive thinking, eating disorder, etc. Also the terrible toll all of this mental instability took on my relationships, including the end of my marriage 7 years ago. My life was literally a wreck for decades!
I still eat a lot of vegetables and gluten free grains (I have celiac) and beans/legumes, but I now include organic probiotic dairy every day, and throughout the week I have servings of wild caught fish, organic eggs, and also grass-fed beef and lamb on occasion. I would like to include more of the beef and lamb, but it is hard to find reputable sources for these that I can afford on a regular basis.
My health has gotten better, but I am still trying to heal from all the damage that was done over so many years. I have what I think is permanent nerve damage; I suffer from frequent, almost daily neuropathy (burning nerve pain) in my feet and legs. I pray that this will someday resolve, but it hasn't yet. I still have frequent episodes of extreme fatigue that hit me from out of the blue, but this seems to be getting somewhat better. Thankfully, I rarely get bloated anymore, and rarely have issues with diarrhea. I am so thankful for this! The only problem is that I don't have a bowel movement every day anymore, it's usually only every 2 or 3 days, and this concerns me. I think a bowel movement every day is ideal.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your story! I will check out more of the videos on your channel 😊. God bless you, and I wish you continued success on your journey to health!

I've been vegan for 12 years by now and I'm so torn currently. I'm in therapy for PTSD, have been in therapy for ED's, have been both severely underweight and severely overweight. This year I want to tackle my physical health as well and I've stumbled upon criticism of the vegan diet. Just like you I had never cared about my body. But 3 years ago I became a Mom and now I at least care about my child's health.
Idk what to do man. I feel like I'll incorporate at least Eggs again soon enough, but it's such a hurdle to me. Being vegan has 100% been an ethical choice for me. We have a neighbor who keeps chicken who we're already buying from for my husband, so the ethical hurdle should be gone. But it ain't. 🙃
If anyone has anything helpful to say, please do. This video has been great already, thank you for that! But gosh this is so hard.

If it’s an ethical choice it comes down to, are you willing to sacrifice your health for “saving the animals”?
Regenerative farming is amazing, keeping animals in mind + the environment. Traditional methods are sketch, I try to shop local and organic when I can.
I was a raw frutarian, didn’t even consume nuts or grains. I deteriorated quickly. I now consume an animal based diet, consisting of eggs, raw milk, meats, bone broth and tropical fruits. For cooking and fats I use tallow and ghee. All these foods contain bioavailable nutrients for our bodies. For example, vitamin D’s precursor is cholesterol. We need animal cholesterol to convert to this important hormone. (Yes vitamin D is actually a hormone!)
And don’t worry, dietary cholesterol doesn’t translate to the bad cholesterol in our bodies. Dietary cholesterol is a precursor for so many functions, in our brains and bodies.
Ditching plant foods has also healed my thyroid. It’s truly transformative.
Whatever choice you choose, I wish you the best ❤

It showed that 40% of vegetarians REGULARLY ate meat and 50% of vegans REGULARLY had milk and eggs. This may explain why they can 'stick' to the diet for so long. "suffering from veganism" that shit made me full hearted laugh. on a real note though.. whilst i understand that you have suffered... i do not appreciate the blaming of veganism instead of dangerous plant based diets that have more an interest of being elitist and 'raw' rather than safe and juist a normal lifestyle that a lot of people partake in. obviously i am biased, as are you. but veganism has been the only thing to help me and my health issues. meat eating fucked up my stomach, my emotions were always all over the place (i was angry and annoyed all the time), and i was also tired and lethargic all of the time. wasnt till i went veggie, then vegan, did i realize how much i was suffering. was veggie for a year and since then ive been vegan now 6 years and im not going back. its because i didnt force myself to eat "healthier" and raw, i simply took the stuff i was already eating and made it vegan. veganism worked for me bc of my love for the earth, animals, and because i made it work for me instead of forcing myself to eat in such a way that felt unnatural to me. you ditching being plant based is all well and fine for you but to make such broad claims about veganism in general, such as you have in this video, is rather... well to put it in simple terms, ridiculous. i wont go into other claims you made about the environment and such, mainly because i wish not to be mean and that part did make me genuinely upset. but all in all, whilst i wish you well, i dont believe this video holds much truth outside of your own personal experiences

He, too, had horrible eczema since birth and he now has GI problems. He eats nothing but crap. So, not only is he vegetarian, but he eats all junk food: cereal, juice boxes, asked goods, candy, etc… It’s quite sad.
I’m hoping that he’ll eventually change his mind and eat meat, but, right now, it’s not looking good, and my sister definitely brainwashed him.

I'm a little bit on the same boat. I'm thinking of maintaining a plant based diet but also integrating animal products (in the vegetarian range) and some meat once in a while. I've been vegan for 12 years and I've seen everything from internet drama unfolding and tried everything (from being fully raw, to fruitarianism [a short period of time], to a very balanced diet plant based diet etc) and I think I've found my sweet spot (the balanced diet works the most) but I still feel something's missing and I can't really point out what it is. I'll keep try to experiment and incorporate more diverse meals and try to be omnivore. Some vegans in the comment section are not helping at all. (no consideration about your health and scolding right after, like totally not cult like behavior). I also agree on your points on slaughterhouses and mono-crops, both causing different kinds of damage and being destructive. Also I do agree with your acknowledgement of what we know as the suffering that happens in the cycle of life you describe. Your health comes first and keep doing what works best for you.

Thank you so much for just acknowledging that humans are omnivores and giving so much information. This is exactly why 84% vegans become sick and have to quit. We need both plants and animal products to be truly healthy. This is why I wish health and fitness was more regulated. There's so much misinformation out there. Unless you have a medical condition, vegetarian, vegan, and mostly veg and some fish, are all unhealthy diets.

I don't think these people that claim being on a 100% raw vegan diet are honest. It's a good attention grabber.

Happy for you, it looks like you learned quite a bit from being vegan. I only managed 2 years as a vegan (after deciding to be healthy from the standard diet ironically). I went full carnivore and have been for 4 years now but I still don't have many organ meats at all. I try to get good grass fed beef when I can but supermarket meat is the best I can get sometimes. I have recently started making slow cook stews with different bones and have found that these also offer additional health benefits.

She needs the organs after her lifelong vegetarianism/veganism. You are probably fine without them.
