@@thesunwizard7142 fancy that! Personally I have local organic consumption & home production habits. I get that most conventional production is destructive, However, the point is that is what mist vegans eat, & so vegan claims of ecolocical sustainability are largely crap. I actually spoke of regenerative food production, which you chose to simply ignore. The vegan answer to food seems to be the impossible burger, imported fruit & out of season veg, etc etc. Quit being such a "but yeah 'you' do too" blamey wamey wanker, pull yer finger out & eat sustainable & local as possible.

The best no longer vegan video I've ever seen. You explained very well the reasons why I quit veganism. Loved that guy saying he needs steak or else he gets anemia, that's what happened to me and no supplements or lentil plus vit c can make you strong enough to lift bags and take trash and do chores and stop napping during the day and grow your hair and nails fast. I was mostly vegetarian all of my life because of poverty and vegan for 4 years, during which I developed ovarian cysts and endometriosis and daily bleeding and my period was irregular. Liver has stopped the daily bleeding and many of the symptoms, my period is regular and I finally feel normal, I'm not always fatigued! Thank you for speaking about this! Much health to you!

@CASSIE Lovera No, that is simply not true. I don't condone violent or extreme behavior, and I certainly did not say all of you are being close-minded. I never claimed EVERYONE in this thread and comments section had the intention of portraying ALL vegans this way. I feel like you jumped the gun on that one. It is frustrating to have this conversation because certain people just follow along with how the media portrays vegans (i.e. extremists, violent actors, even terrorists). Remember that abolition of slavery seemed radical, women's right to vote seemed radical, but why is this any different of a movement?

Same. I was vegetarian for 25yrs, vegan for about half of that & raw vegan for 1year (until I ended up in the hospital w severe electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, vitamin & mineral deficiencies). Vegan works well for some people but I became extremely weak & ill the more “pure” I ate. Health gurus in the community kept telling me I was simply expelling toxins & told me to keep going & avoid western medicine (even though I was severely ill). A few years ago I finally let that lifestyle go & went full keto. I recovered quickly & dramatically (no longer keto but still eat meat). I still have issues absorbing iron & require periodic IV infusions, I think it is a result of the bowel damage done when I was raw vegan. Bottom line: listen to your body.

It's worth noting also that fruit sugar (fructose) is broken down by the body into two separate compounds. One of which interferes with the efficacy of your satiety hormones, meaning that your brain is impeded from telling you that you have eaten enough : fructose promotes overeating. It comes down to us from the time when fruit was available in small amounts only once a year so evolutionarily speaking, at that time of year when animal foods were becoming more scarce - herds moving on, flying South, going into hibernation - it was a survival advantage to glut on any available sugar, which the body will utilise for energy (The Randle cycle) in preference to fat.

It is worth noting that, while Hong Kong is the world's largest consumer of meat, per capita meat consumption has risen greatly there within the last 10-20 years (incidentally, its vegetable consumption has also risen, but still not as high as the global average). So the current high meat consumption is clearly not the main reason why current Hong Kong elderly people got themselves to the long-lived state they are currently in.

People like yourself asign the same level to a rat as you would a whale or a dog or a human. You di this because you are brainwashed, starting with the idea that humans are meant to and can be sustained without animal products. Which is demonstrably false.

I started the carnivore diet last week because I had a reaction with my eczema.
In January and my eczema issue came back after a whole year of good skin (The same time i began being vegan for a month), I decided to become vegetarian because i felt veganism was a bit too extreme for me and my skin didn't heal for 3 months. (literally, the cuts on my face weren't even growing proper skin.)
The doctor put me on antibiotics originally to get rid of a skin infection that developed but they weren't a long enough course and then the second doctor I spoke with agreed to give prolonged antibiotics course but pressed me to go on Protopic (refused to go onto steroids because I went through TSW for 5 years since I was put on them since I was a kid until I was 16 and didn't want to go on this cream either but he said he'd put his kids on this cream and used the doctor card along with saying the words "Look I know you've been burnt in the past" in a really angry way which was just ironic ) it didn't heal my skin properly and when I stopped my skin reacted and was even worse and looked extremely damaged.
I was dealing with this up until now and I'm still healing but I can see a huge difference already.
I did a 72-hour water fast, went on a basic elimination diet of water, kale, spinach, banana and chicken bone broth with chicken and had a reaction.
    After being on the elimination diet for almost a week;
    1. My scars have almost healed
    2. My hands are beginning to along with my face
    3. My head doesn't feel like I'm in constant brain fog
    4. I have energy
    5. My hair started growing back
I have nothing against vegan or vegetarian people at all and i think if a vegetarian is done the right way it's extremely beneficial for certain people.
But the issue with people relating ideology to health is a huge issue.
Seriously thank you for making this video it's making the transition period a lot easier and has given me even more motivation to do this carnivore elimination diet.

Excellent video, thank you for sharing!
On a side note: Vegans often suggest that veganism is similar to Christian Orthodox fast, to make veganism appealing to Christian Orthodox people/countries, and they even say that it’s the diet of Mount Athos, which makes veganism sound legit for people who really don’t know what they eat in Mount Athos. However this isn’t true, they are not vegan in Mount Athos, and as for the Christian Orthodox fast, a) it completely distorts its meaning, as it is a restriction of the diet for certain days that has a completely different meaning and it’s not a doctrine by itself and b) we can have honey, seafood, tarama which is (very nutritious) fish eggs and even fish some days. It’s also clear that Christian Orthodox fast does not want you to be malnourished. You are not supposed to fast if you are sick or breastfeeding. I believe it’s time for us people who come from a Christian Orthodox background to expose this distortion and finally clear this up.

Well said and you showed one of my favourite books Nourishing Traditions! I have been recommending that to my clients for years. I was also a vegetarian/vegan for 20 years. I started eating meat again at the advice of an Ayurvedic doctor (no, an Ayurvedic diet is NOT a vegetarian diet - although most Ayurvedic practitioners are promoting it as such). I was very lucky and I KNOW what meat does for the human body because I experienced the difference first hand. So will many of these militant angry and misguided people. I hope they wake up before they do serious damage to themselves and the rest of us by supporting those Totalitarian psychopaths who are trying to ruin our world. (When Bill Gates started promoting veganism, that sealed it for me!) Learning about the cycle of sustainable farming and the necessity for animals to restore the earth, was the final convincing argument.

Veganism is not a cult. It's sad to see people jump the gun on that one. Not all vegans are created equal. Not all vegans are homogeneous in ideology and world view, so it is kinda funny to read some of the comments generalizing vegans. I'm not really appreciating the biased nature of your video, and your sources are not that credible. Basically, it is an anthropocentric view and disingenuous to not mention how destructive factory farming is. Anyways, I do appreciate that you're trying to have "healthy communication," but I don't see that in the comments section.

Went to several vegetarian Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. Many of them pretty tired up with some small Bhuddist temples. They found ways to imitate almost everything with soy. Beef, pork, chicken, fish, ham, ham it. The.food was good and tasty with a peaceful atmosphere. However why this obsession with imitating every form of meat with artificial coloring and flavoring? Would they loose all their clients if they dumped a pile of soy protein in a plate? Or if they shaped it as banana or pineapples instead? I decided to try the carnivore diet for 10 days to see if I would get gout or any nasty issues meat is supposed to give us. I am on day 8 and I am adding another 10 for sure. in the end, diets can heal not by what we add but by what we subtract. There is nothing wrong with some healthy soups and dishes straight from an organic garden behind the house. What I am looking for are foods with 1 or maybe 2 ingredients in them. Weight is dropping pretty good. Dropped 25 pounds recently on a non keto but low carb diet. Going for another push as i was not able to drop my abdominal fat that much. A buddy of mine cleared his pretty quickly even at 54 years old. Great post btw.

Glad your on the other side =) My family have always eaten a Mediterranean diet and Iv grown up to that aswell - So we usually just eat dairy occasionally and meat but its always been apart of our diet. I remember when the vegan trend became huge while I was younger I considered it - and my family would always say "We are all part of the food chain, you think if a lion saw a zebra its going to shake its hand and say hey dude lets be friends and eat grass together? No, its going to eat it. It needs food, and so do we. We live of the land, fruit, vegetables, animals. We need it just as much." It really made me look into how we do really need it! Thank you for this informational and powerful video. I'd love to see more of these, especially since we live so far apart now. I have never been vegan or vegetarian as a lifestyle. But in daily life, meat is less than 5% of my diet. Maybe all the bio-industry cruelty meat that I've consumed in childhood, has given me an intuitive aversion towards eating meat in general. As you know, I've killed and butchered farm animals that were well cared for and loved. This gave me a similar feeling of connectedness that you describe. On that note: Go for that bunny! After killing, skinning, gutting and curing (remarkably easy), you can bake the rabbit golden brown in a heavy pan with butter. After that you lower the heat, add vegetables, two cups of stock and some herbs. Leave it to simmer for an hour or two. I love bunnies! Anyhow, I will join your cult and gradually switch to a meat based diet. It might give me some of the energy that has been lacking. Again, I love these video's you make and I've never seen you in a better shape. Love from the Lowlands! Question: how different are mammal meat, bird meat and fish in a sense of nutrients?
