    I was vegan 3 years. I ate very healthy and varied plus supplements. I lost my health slowly beginning in the 2nd year. By the end I was severely anemic, my hormones plummeted, I had blurred vision, heart palpitations, and depression.
    Now im eating grass fed beef and wild salmon plus oysters and im feeling amazing!!
    Dont feel guilty eating well sourced meat.
    There is a reason we all crave the mock meats while we are vegan.
    I do think being vegan is ok very short-term as a cleanse.
    Meat builds.
    If we cut it out eventually we atrophy.

    I was vegan for seven years and it was so hard on my body and i did an extreme amount of troubleshooting to try and make it work but things kept getting worse. It’s crazy how many people share similar stories

    I was Vegan 6 years, I was depressed, filled with anxiety, felt like the world was small, had brain fog and highly emotional, once I gave up Veganism and ate meat for the first time I felt alive, energetic and the depression left within the first week, I think people don't understand that fruits and vegetables are medicinal and we should not abandon them but we also need meat along with it.

      Absolutely! It’s about having a balanced diet ! Only vegan is good when your trying to heal but shouldn’t be your main diet

    Please investigate health benefits of meats, the pesticides we take in with plant foods. Continue to learn. We were created to eat meat that's why we have teeth. Thanks for your positive open attitude and your honesty about how you felt.

      Yes we have teeth, but unlike animals that eat and consume raw meat, true carnivores like lions, dogs, cats, etc.; human teeth is made for chewing not chomping. Carnivores have canines for teeth and humans have molars which are used to grind food (fruits and vegetables). Also our digestive system takes longer to process meat unlike true carnivores (the animals I mentioned above). However, when we eat fruits and vegetables it will digest the same day or the next morning. Dr. Bobby Price, a vegan doctor (former pharmaceutical practitioner) taught me a lot of this information and he’s on UA-cam too 🙂

      ****Dr. Bobby Price says he’s plant-based vegan, my apologies because there is a negative connotation associated with the word “vegan.”

      @@iheartherapy LOL, you are completely wrong on digestion. As far as our teeth human ancestors started using tools and fire to process meat over 2 million years ago making meat easier to eat. Our teeth adapted along with these changes.

    Lovin' the hair!😃Any vegans who see this will be screaming that you can't be a part-time vegan & that you simply have some, totally plant-based days. The notion that abstaining from meat draws you closer to God is primarily from Eastern philosophy/religion [ the Far East.. not Maine🙃].
    I'm a Christian, so my guidebook is the Holy Bible. I've been through it (again), cover-2-cover, twice within the past 5yrs, paying particular attention to animal references, & I hadn't missed the message to "Go vegan!" If anything, it's a defense against veganism. It's almost as if God knew that the V ideology would spring up.. He seems to know a lot.. about a lot.. but then He's..
    Long story short.. after experimenting with diet, whole foods omnivore has been returning excellent, physiological results; physical, mental & emotional, for 4+yrs. You're absolutely right about the quality of the food, so we're now eating smaller portions of expensive, locally sourced beef, bacon & fish.. today will involve 4oz rump steaks.
    I don't believe that humans are herbivores. It's seed oils & processed foods which appear to cause most of the health problems, not animal products. 100% plant-based diets require supplementation, which says it all. Promise me that, if you go vegan/raw vegan again, you'll cheat on weekends.. fish on Fridays.. eggs on Saturdays.. steak on Sundays.. otherwise I'll worry about you! Take care.👍God bless you.🙏

      More so than you know. The Bible specifically calls out veganism and the animal rights industry propaganda as "doctrines of demons".
      "1 Timothy 4
      King James Version
      4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
      2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
      3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
      4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
      5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."

    Just wanted to clarify veganism isn’t a diet it’s a philosophy against exploitation and unnecessary killing of animals. A vegan friendly diet can be healthy but there are also unhealthy vegan diets. There hasn’t been many long term health studies involving raw food veganism (at least not in the nutritional research I’ve seen). A whole food plant based vegan diet (with cooked foods) has been shown to be healthy and encourage good long term health aswell (check out Plant Based News, Mic the Vegan, other whole food plant based doctors or vegan nutritional UA-camrs for more info on healthy vegan diets). Proper supplementation is important though (wether you prefer man made supplements or whole food supplements, both are fairly good supplement options). While I understand the difficulties that may come with living with family or being around family that eat animal products it’s important to ask yourself if the taste of that animals body parts or secretions are worth the pain the animal experienced for us to consume their flesh or secretions. If not then it’s a easy choice to simply bring your own food at family gatherings. While veganism could have spiritual importance, if your focused on what you get out of it spiritually more than the impact not being vegan has on the individual animals than you not doing it for the right reason. You seem like a really nice person (who also has pretty cool hair btw). That’s all have a nice day 🙂.

      Fun fact: The 7.7% of "vegans", within Adventist Health Study 2 didn't self-identify as vegans. They were assigned to that category by the study designers. On average, they daily consumed 3.1 grams of animal protein but less often than once a month (2x if they ate from both meat/fish & eggs/dairy).
      I did the math & that could be achieved by 31 days strict vegan, followed by a cheat day involving 8oz of cheese + 6 eggs. How likely? The Blue Zones are similarly fraudulent. The supposed, Okinawa longevity diet, is based upon a 1949 survey, undertaken when the island remained the haunt of starving, post WW2 refugees.
      "Go vegan!" for the animals, if you must, but there's no evidence that it's a healthy option, in any form. To me, it looks more like atheist projection, as in hopeless, human animals jumping into the pens alongside hopeless, NHAs.

      Keyword: 'unnecessary killing.'
      I was vegan 3 years. By the end I realized I needed meat in order to continue with work/living/getting up the stairs etc.
      So technically is exvegans are still vegan because we only eat animals when it's necessary for health.
      Really try to consider why someone who cuts out meat foe 3 years, 5 years 10 years.. would go back to meat unless they absolutely had to.
      There's a reason people go back and it's not for taste.

      But it is a diet. It just has an "associated" philosophy that isn't a requirement for someone to be deemed a vegan.
      This video explains why in a lot of detail.
