Great advice as always Alex.
If I lose motivation to track I try to stick to my three meals per day and one snack while cutting. Otherwise don't sweat one day off, try not to go crazy and get back to it the next day 💪
Booze and snacking is such a killer.
Best tip for booze is to treat it as what it is, a drug.

another food for snacking: beef jerky. i never realized, it has about ten grams of protein per serving and each serving is 70-90 cals. a great, protein-rich snack.

Greek yogurt helps me out a lot (only 80-100 calories if you get Oikos yogurt) but sometimes I’m not in the mood for yogurt every single day, so this is a good tip. Thanks 😊

I "more or less" eat the same things, or variations of the same main ingredients, so I basically started counting calories for like 3 or 4 weeks, took some notes and then kept tracking them approximately for what I learnt when I counted them. probably some days I would go over 100, or 100 less, but overall it worked pretty well

In the beginning, it's good to track your calories since you don't have a good feel for when you're hungry and when you're full. Once you understand your hunger cues, you can stop tracking and follow what your body is telling you, when to stop eating, when to drink some water, etc.

I only skip diner bc I don't eat much morning I go gym before breakfast bc I drink alot water and some protein through out the gym then I go home I eat some white eggs with some chicken and vegie lunch I eat plate of salat salmon one then lot water some fruit then sleep 8h then repeat
Haven’t eaten a snack or consumed alcohol for 5 months. There’s a perfect way to do this without keeping any tabs.
As a kid, i dont know how to just eat perfect meals like that. I dont know what stuff is in what meals and what meals will have that perfect ratio in the video. Should i try one of those super exlensive meal plans?

Thoughts on power drinks like Powerade or Gatorade? I play a lot of soccer & there’s nothing like a cold Gatorade after a session. I recently switched to Gatorade Zero though.
I find what’s helpful is mix it with water. Like even 1/3 Gatorade/Powerade with 2/3 water. It is still refreshing but more water and less calories!
What about whey protein shakes? They have a-lot of calories too.
The booze and snacking was the #1, 2, 3, 4 for me. Cut out booze and ate 3 square meals a day and i never really had the urge to snack.
You can drink and loose weight just fine. After a divorce my wife took almost everything but a few pans and a juicer she hated I dropped 50 pounds in about two months living on vodka, cigarettes (about a half gallon a week) mixed grapefruit, green juice and other fresh fruit juice and steak tacos at night sometimes I would skip the tacos but got nice and lean and healthy skin. I felt great It was like a juice fast but one that doesn’t suck. Every body would ask me how my skin was looking so good. Best way to get through a juice fast. Of course there were down sides lucky my wife took the only car we had as well so I bought a Walmart bike or would run to work it was about 2 miles sucked when it was raining but all in all a very humbling and positive experience. I kept that diet up for almost three years and got bored with it kept the weight off the whole time.
#6 If your new. TRACK your calories because you dont have any clue how much your actually eating in a day. Many think there eating healthy and very little but are really 500+ over there calorie limits.
Hack #7 A calorie deficit doesn’t care about you eating healthy, CICO. A sustainable one cares if you eat mostly healthy since it’s easier to not want to overconsume

And as a type 2 diabetic I suggest other diabetics to drinking caprisuns when your bloodsugar goes low, one juice is about 35 calories and its way better than most other methods.

Have down for years.
Use to lift weights every two days then started to do it every day for a few months.
Never got stronger (I was using the same weight all the time.), never got more stamina, never lost fat.
And for the past 2 weeks I have been feeling tired constantly, and I’m hardly lifting, my diet hasn’t changed.
I donno where my energy has gotten too?

What does your diet consist of? If it's not high enough in protein you won't build muscle also if it's too high calorically you won't lose weight
Also every day is too much. You build muscle while resting.
You may not be training hard enough and not getting enough nutrients (calories, protein) to build muscle. Eat in a surplus with tons of protein to build muscle. Make sure you sleep 8 hours, and try to train each body part 2 times a week but i would recommend 4-5 days a week

Look in the supermarket at the calories
Best is to avoid most fried food and heavily sauced foods, also be careful with soups because of the calories from cream and the sodium. You can still eat junk but make sure they are small portions and to weigh them per serving size
I’m tryna lose 50lbs in 2months 1800-2300cal deficit and it’s way under my maintenance, but it’s my 3rd day and the first 2 days I ate only 1200cal but today I had 3pcs of fried fish, 2 handfuls of fries, 6small shrimp and a soda(my mental state sucks when I try to do good. That’s all I ate but I hope it don’t bother my progress since I still walked for 2hrs(10-13k steps) and I use my dumbbell a lot. I’m gonna try to do better again in the morning to eat about 1800-2300 range. But I think what I ate today had to be no more than 3k cal at most and my actual maintenance is 4600cal.
I’m 6’1 335, I sometimes still can’t believe I was even 450 and lost a 100lbs even doing this and I was even more mentally weak and binging on and off 😅

I fast until 12pm everyday so i can fit in a protein shake with my 2 meals and greek yogurt/berries for dessert
The reason why people eat when they get home and many do not get hungry until they're in bed it is because that person is so damn busy with their life that they cannot hear the body saying it's hungry!
Many are desensitized or depend on the time set, they depend on someone to remind them or someone to tell them it's time to eat! All because they cannot hear the body speak so when they finally get in their bed and the racing thoughts and all the energy from the world slows down the person can finally hear their bodies speak and it's saying Feed me I've been trying to tell you I'm hungry now get up and get me something to eat!

Dairy products are good liquids with calories i think
They have a lot of calories per cup and can add up quickly. I drank a lot of milk tea over a couple years and gained 60 pounds. Don’t make my mistakes!

1) meal frequency is not true. Some ppl are better off with 1-2 meals and fasting the rest, some are better with 5+ smaller meals. Depends on the person. Also, snacking is not bad unless its empty calories. Snacking on fiber/protein is the best (aka fruits).

Nope. I only track carbs. I eat 50 grams or less per day. Lost 19 pounds since April. Blood glucose now normal for the first time in 15 years. Don’t intend to count calories because I don’t have cravings or overeat.
I don’t count them but i try to keep track mentally. Works pretty good so far I’ve been +-3 pounds for 6 months.
Never understood people who are serious when lifting and NOT tracking their calories. You literally have no baseline as to what ur maintenance calories are at all plus you dont even know if ur even hitting a decent amount of calories even if youre visually eating less.

My maintenance is 4600cal and it’s been 3 days now. I ate 1200 cal the first two days and about 3k at most today, am I still okay because I feel so messed up for eating what I ate today. I’ll try to do better tomorrow but hope I didn’t mess my progress up already. (I ate 3 pc of fried fish 6small pc of fried shrimp 2 handfuls of fries and a soda, and that’s all I ate in one for the day😢)

Anybody who wants to lose weight without putting in the simple effort to track their food is lazy and does not deserve positive results. Part of weight loss and overall good health is having some discipline. People want everything to be easy and convenient. Doesn't work that way.
