Haha, full egg mode initiated after that! So I got it as a gift at the time when it was only available in airports so I can't say for my bottle but it is now available on The Whisky Exchange for £53.95 - personally, it's not quite enough to my taste for that much but it's certainly interesting and you won't be disappointed if you're a big JD fan.
Hi Tom, I just thought that you might be interested to know that N&P (Nickolls & Perks) have a Jack Daniels single barrel, bottled in bond, travel exclusive reduced by 33% (down from £60 to £40) as it's been discontinued. Ordered mine a couple of days ago and it was delivered today. It comes in a lovely box and is in the same bottle style that their single barrel select and their single barrel, barrel proof comes in. I grabbed it as it's cheaper than the JD single barrel select at 90 proof and for the extra proof (and hopefully the taste) it was a 'no-brainer' really.
I just thought that I'd give you a heads up, plus anyone else reading this can snaffle a bargain too.

@@TheCrumbyBeard Yeah, you don't want to buy this bottle ! I've just tried it and it's by far the best JD I've ever had, it's absolutely stunning, doesn't drink anywhere near it's proof point, it's so easy sipping it's unreal ! Deep, rich, dark and has a long finish too and all of this is just on the 'neck' pour, I'm hoping for even greater things when it's opened up after a while. I'll be getting myself a 'back-up' bottle for this, for sure, so yeah ! You don't want any of this.......lol, it's not for you Tom, nothing to see here, just move along buddy 😂

Haha - you know it. I'm a lot happier with a bottle of JD rather than the aforementioned beers mind. But yes - it's definitely a thing!
Which one is the best for you this one or the normal number 7 ?

what do people mean by anti septic taste? does it taste like mouth wash coz that dont sound good lol
It's normally the "cleaning" effect of the alcohol that's being experienced. You know how strong alcohol, petrol and cleaning products all have a similarity in smell, although they aren't exactly the same - well it's kinda like that. And yes, if its over-powering then it isn't great for sure, but in some it can be there and not detract from the rest of the experience. Cheers!
@@TheCrumbyBeard i will just have to try afew and see then aye, being from the UK my biggest experience with whiskeys is jamesons and jack daniels (i like honey and LOVE fire) but i know nothing about them... only that they taste nice xD
