another note,,,Jack even controls the raising of the corn that goes into the mash. I live about 40miles from Jack. Large farmer here is one of the many who raise corn for Jack. Managers from the distillery come here to monitor corn planting, to specify how wide apart rows should be, how many seeds per foot and as it grows, they come to monitor how much fertilizer is added and when. All American whiskeys are required to be made in new charred oak barrels. They do make nice barrels though and after used for US whiskey they're sold to other countries to age their alcohol.
Player Review also sold to hardware stores to use in landscaping and such, a small store i worked for bought semi truck load from them each spring and would sell out every year. boy on a hot day they sure smelled good!
I was distressed by this video. Contrary to everything I've been raised to believe, it turns out that angels do NOT kiss every cork and seal every bottle before shipping Jack Daniel's out. It just seems that way. Oops! I forgot to say SPOILER ALERT. Sorry!

I love that it's REAL people behind this process. Real genuine people.
0:39 I think that guy gave me and my family a tour of the distillery when we were there
4:48 Did he just say "And in ole' two whop, makes Jack Daniel so unique two eye, we do make our own barrels two eye"?
"And you know too, what makes Jack Daniels so unique too, aye, we do make our own barrels too aye"
Dirk Diggler I see you are fluent in American
Thank you Jack Daniels Old No7 Tennessee whiskey got me drinking in heaven, up here the bottle never runs dry and you don't wake up with those tears in your eye 🎶🎶😁
I love that feller in the Overalls!
#1 drink. hope it never changes
I've always thought that the old no. 7 , has a very thick Carmel & vanilla flavor with a smokey finish to it , and without a doubt is my favorite whiskey and will always be my favorite it's that thick Carmel & vanilla flavor combined with the smokey finish , taste that has me hooked
First time trying Jack Daniels tonight, and really loving the amazing taste. Thank you for the in depth detail. Nice to know how its done. Makes enjoying more interactive knowing what the flavors are. Keep it going love it. Karen Gordon's Bay South Africa
Gett'in ready to crack a bottle open now. Cheers!
I bought a 3 liter just for myself. Cheers!
I am impressed.
Jack and coke is my go to at any bar or event
real men drink white wine
"real men" drink whatever the fuck they want to.
An old fashioned is 👌
This is so cool. When I was younger this was my go to drink in a bar. I think I should get a bottle and relive some of the old days. Great video.
Welll Caturday, it’s been 5 months. Have you done it?
@@dereiziger8915 I'm doing it right now. And many times previously.

Man Friday's Jack daniel glaze is the main reason why I love Jack so much!
All American whiskeys are required to be made in new charred oak barrels. They do make nice barrels though and after used for US whiskey they're sold to other countries to age their alcohol.
Player Review yourthinking of bourbon, there is less requirements for just whiskey in the states
Joseph Freemanm bourbon is not charred in barrells so you are incorrect
gerishom majanja bourbon can be in barrels up to a char level 3
Appletons Jamaican Rum springs to mind , having seen it there , the mellowing and ageing sheds are SOOOO full of old JD barrels !
Player Review also sold to hardware stores to use in landscaping and such, a small store i worked for bought semi truck load from them each spring and would sell out every year. boy on a hot day they sure smelled good!

The best.
This comment just made my day.
Lemmy! Lemmy! Lemmy!
This is why I'm here 😂
and cocaine
My favorite tipple love a bottle of Jack Daniels
I was distressed by this video. Contrary to everything I've been raised to believe, it turns out that angels do NOT kiss every cork and seal every bottle before shipping Jack Daniel's out. It just seems that way.
Oops! I forgot to say SPOILER ALERT. Sorry!
TheStockwell well, in the standard blacl label they don’t use cork but whatever
@@michaelcovey7007 that's not cork either, that's a block of wood
@@modvind I couldn't remember which it was, so I checked my bottle and it had a cork. But, that's because it was a bottle of that swank, pricey Sinatra Select. Black label No.7, as you pointed out, is not corked. 👏
Have a great, safe year - wherever you're having it. 🥃
5:36 - "It slowly starts to turn brown."
Hellfire rages in the background.
This was my favorite liquor hands down. I absolutely love whiskey and Jack has forever been my favorite
So it's basically moonshine till you put it in the bungholed barrels.
That gives it it's color and flavor. I love the stuff myself.
Nothing Like Watching A Jack Daniels Whiskey Documentary And Drinking Jack Daniels Whiskey 🥃
you are so lucky..... enjoy
libya misrata my friend I should grab an extra glass 👌
Been to Lynchburg, Tennessee to see the operation and this is a great experience for everyone to check out…….
Whatever your drink of choice may be, making it is an artform.
Watching this with a bottle of JD in my hands
Been there and toured the place. It's quite the procees real and genuine love of their jobs!😊
I would pay crazy money to hear the water management guy read audiobooks :D
Omg same dude
Jordan me too
Nathan “Nearest” Green is THE creator of Tennessee Whiskey!!
He invented the Lincoln County Process in which Jack Daniels whiskey is distilled in! Nathan Green literally taught and gave Jack Daniels everything he know about whiskey making.
That Uncle Nearest Whiskey is pretty good and you need to purchase a bottle
Came across this video while drinking Jack Daniels, can appreciate it so much more.
My son sure loves watching this video alike. He enjoys seeing videos of how different brand of liquor are brewed. His favorite part in this video is at 3:27 - 4:10 that shows the starting process of charcoal. He likes it!(:
4:21 that's exactly what I need; as he said it. with the same accent.
This actually makes me appreciate my favorite whiskey a lot more
Recently acquired the barrel proof rye. I’m so excited to open it up soon. Been to the distillery. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve been to. Huge fan of the gold 27.
I love the Gold as well. So Good.
Time to go drink 🥃, , Thank you Jack,Natham , Lem and off course Jeff)
My favorite whiskey jack Daniels 😍
All Daniels are great....It doesn't matter whether it is Jack or Danny.❤️❤️❤️❤️
As someone who doesnt drink, I never knew that JD you would buy off the shelf was likely made half a decade ago.
at last one who lives in the pure state of sobriety!
I drink frequently, but there is no way I could ever drink every day. The shitty feeling and the dehydration sucks.
@@flavortown289 exactly. I drink like every 2 weeks. I hate the feeling if i did it more than one day
Used to be a heavy alcoholic drinking at a least a bottle a day or more jack was always my main drink i managed to beat my alcoholism and drink only on special occasions and jack is my drink of choice
I'd get fired the first day if I worked there...
@Kardos András Yes. 1L of free whiskey each month. Source: I used to work there.
@@adriantroickic8477 During my tour, the lady said the employee gets to pick!!!
