I literally just had a bottle of this show up at my house today that I ordered monday, I don't think I paid $60 for it, though it was onsale and 10% off. Looking forward to it. I've only recently started playing with the barrel proof whiskeys.
I've about 15 at the moment, most of which are Highland and Speyside malts. I've been doing my dry week but think I'm going to celebrate on Sunday by opening my Port Charlotte or Classic Laddie.

Just opened a bottle of the Barrel Proof - definitely got the french toast/cinnamon toast but followed up quickstyle by HEAVY peanuts. Thick & rich like a milkshake - love this stuff. $60 for a 750ml at Safeway.

Bad Googling sirs, it's $69.95 for 750 mL in North Carolina and commonly on sale for $64.95. One of the best available barrel proof whiskeys that sits on the shelf while everyone scrambles for BTAC and limited releases.
shit I honestly figured they had this before. I guess living in TN just makes this more common. its in every store that carries higher end bottles and here in TN the 750ml bottles of it are $60.
Thank you Daniel and Rex for a great channel that helped us get thru 2020. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel BP on a national average would be about $60 - $65. You could possible pick up an JDSBBP that goes up to 140 proof. I found one at 132 proof. It depends upon the individual barrel. Cheers! Happy Holidays!

I paid $25.99 for a 375. It is one of my favorites currently. To me it is a strong Egg Nog on the nose and very vanilla on the pallet. Two thumbs up for sure!
This is one of my brothers' go to for when we smoke cigars in the summer. We both don't care for it much neat, which is our usual style, but it definitely opens up nicely on a hefty ice cube. I still prefer the normal single barrel neat, however.
Ya... it’s also been wild how many obscure / fresh styles that the big brands have started to push out. They now have to compete with the small distilleries that are being creative and making more unique styles of whisk(e)y... which I find fun! Cheers!

Most underrated barrel proof! Never had so much intensity in flavor, and for 55$ and readily available? Blows away ECBP, which is a great bourbon. I found a bunch of 375’s on sale for 20$ a piece. I’d say best whiskey ever for 40$ a bottle
for $140, no go. But I usually see that all over down here for $60/750ml. For $60 and the fact that you cant walk into a store around here and not find a bottle (but I'm in TN, so it makes sense its incredibly available), it's becoming one of my favorites.
I paid $65 for a 750 ml bottle of my JD Single Barrel Barrel Proof and I absolutely love it at that price. Can never seem to find any Stagg Jr. around Hawaii, so this will suffice.
Everyone seems to be finding this regularly but I have only seen it at very small liquor stores and at very limited quantities. When one does get it in, it sells fast. I think it’s one of the best whiskeys around.
It's interesting to me how different either my taste buds are or how different my bottle of this stuff is from theirs. When I drink this, I get a banana bread backwards. First I get like walnuts (I hate nuts in banana bread), then a kind of bread-like note, then bananas on the finish. Sweet throughout.
The way you explained disliking French toast is the exact same feeling I have about vegetable soup. I like the stuff in vegetable soup but hate the way it tastes when combined together.
That bottle goes for about $45 here is Sunny Santa Clarita CA. We just moved here two months ago from Upstate NY. The liquor prices are so cheap here. I did not expect that to be the case.

In AZ it's cheaper to buy 2 of those 375ml bottles at $32/ea than the $66 for the standard size bottle. First time I bought one; I laughed at how the cork dwarfed the bottle. There's no moving beyond Jack Daniel's. There's only evolving by adding variety to your palate.🥃

I was too distracted by the news to remember if I liked it or not. Helpful hint, Don't visit JD until after they are fully reopened. We didn't get to see much.
I just found this today in the 375ml bottles for 15 bucks each. I bought two, a fifth total, for 30 bucks plus tax. Just tried it and it's good. I'm going back there tomorrow when they open and buy at least 4 more or whatever they have left

Asked, they said they got 6 bottles & can't order more, they just come in randomly & the hotels, casinos, resorts & restaurants get all the good stuff 1st. The stores get what's left, if any. It wasn't a store pick, just the standard single barrel BP.. They also had a WT Rare Breed Rye $39.58 + tax, that I grabbed. Did not care for it, even at that price. Not bad or anything. It was bottled in 5/2022, so maybe it changed or will change, after it's been open. The JD BP was great though. Gonna see if I can get another 1 at that price.. Apparently there are, or was, Black Label JD BP (saw in pics only) maybe when it first came out. Don't know if there's a difference of the whiskey inside? Got this bottle last night ($59 for a 750ml in Houston, TX). I don't dislike it, but I'm not a fan. I got a 1792 Full Proof ($44) as well, which blew it out of the water. My guess is this is for hardcore Jack Daniel's lovers.

I know in the US it’s 750, that’s why I mentioned it.

The 750 ml bottle only runs $69 in Virginia. It’s a very good botttle so is the black label barrel select. It’s only $49. Both very good pours.

A group of us did a tasting of this bottle and 3 of 4 got an undeniable Banana Laffy Taffy vibe on the nose.

Asked, they said they got 6 bottles & can't order more, they just come in randomly & the hotels, casinos, resorts & restaurants get all the good stuff 1st. The stores get what's left, if any. It wasn't a store pick, just the standard single barrel BP..
They also had a WT Rare Breed Rye $39.58 + tax, that I grabbed. Did not care for it, even at that price. Not bad or anything. It was bottled in 5/2022, so maybe it changed or will change, after it's been open.
The JD BP was great though. Gonna see if I can get another 1 at that price..
Apparently there are, or was, Black Label JD BP (saw in pics only) maybe when it first came out. Don't know if there's a difference of the whiskey inside? Being that you asked, maybe you can fill me in on that. Cheers!

How do you compare to Elijah Craig Barrel Proof ???? ECBP is 12 years old and I'm reading JDSBBP is from 4 to 7 years old which shocked me but no info on the JD website.
Got this bottle last night ($59 for a 750ml in Houston, TX). I don't dislike it, but I'm not a fan. I got a 1792 Full Proof ($44) as well, which blew it out of the water. My guess is this is for hardcore Jack Daniel's lovers.
I was really expecting some Fancy Dan editing retaliation after the "Bring it baby".....Rex dodged a bullet on this one!
Honestly this is my #1 so far for straight up. High proof but drinks like 90 proof, smooth and balanced.
Goes on sale here in Idaho for $44 all the time. Reg. $55. One of my favorite bottles hands down.
It's on sale this month. Best buy for under $45.
