Ok im gonna be so real about this mod, it is absolutely freaking amazing. However, DO NOT BUY THIS MANIFOLD ANYWHERE BUT THE JUNK YARD. IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICING THAT THESE INTAKES GO FOR ONLINE. If you're not confident enough to go get the part off of a junk car yourself, the cold hard truth is you probably should not be a BMW owner. If you have a 328i with the factory plastic valve cover, look for a yard with an X3 30i (model year 07-10)of any trim level. This car had the 3 stage intake with the same ccv hose bungs as the intake that comes stock on the cars with the plastic vc. This will save you so many headaches. Good luck out there!
I wish I would've seen your comment before doing mine. I wasted money, time, and my sanity trying to figure out how to configure my CCV system for my used 3-stage-DISA-Intake-Manifold.
Anyone know if the manifold fots the N53? Ccv is integrated to the valve cover and there is an egr valve on the stock intake so would the egr just have to be blanked off also?
Did you find the answer ? Was wondering about the same issue, been thinking for this upgrade for my E93 325i 3 litre 2007 bimmer and can't find an intake manifold for my N53 engine... only for the N52...
if you have an N51 (emissions model N52, sold in various states but i know off the top California and Washington, can also check on your hood for emissions stickers) it already has the stage 3 manifold! just grab a 330i tune and you should get the extra power from that
@ google n51 warranty, also if you have some sort of vin search, you can find out where your car was first sold. this is important because some states only have 8 year warranty plans, washington being one of them, but as per law, the warranty of a car depends on where it was sold, not where it goes subsequently. Massachusetts is one of the states where my car was sold and it’s also a state where the 15 year warranty was required. I live in WA but the dealer still has to perform the work because of its origin state
If you measure MAF flow before and after, then you get a close estimate of the poewr increase. ½ the percentage of MAF flow increase = the %% of power increase.
it happened to me its not FRIED if you know what you're doing you can recover it, does all sorts of crazy stuff like makes your windshield wipers turn on. You cannot fry the TCM but you can load the wrong code on it or stop the flash midway but its recoverable using other BMW coding tools. You CAN fry the FRM module but that can happen anytime just from disconnecting and reconnecting the battery @@justincharlton1132
There's a tune from bimmer geeks for the 328i tuned to a 330i looking at 25 - 35 additional HP IS IT WORTH IT YES BYFAR I HAVE THE 3 STAGE AIR INTAKE I JUST NEED THE TUNE GREAT CONTENT 🎉🎉🎉🎉
better off doing the tune without the manfold, you get 1/2 the power adder with zero of the extra maintenance. 3 stage manifold without the tune is worthless, but the tune you can really feel even without the extra 10hp.
@@lukamunoz870 yes, and you'll feel it instantly, way more responsive tune. I'd also recommend doing the last transmission update from BMW if you have the automatic from GM, sport mode is night and day. Also if you do the 3 SI and DO NOT do the tune you'll experience absolutely no change.
Not true. I can guarantee that there was so much more instant power and responsiveness after I completed my 3SIM without any programming on my 2008 328xi e90 BMW manual

Where did you get the Software?
At 16 seconds of this video I noticed that your driver active headrest has activated and is way forward. You should replace that for safety purposes.

How much should it cost to have someone install it ?
I did it and during the tune it fried my tcm and made my car stuck in park for a while had to replace the very expensive unit
thats very unfortunate: the issue was definitely with the tune that was used or the process.
how?? where the fuck did you get that tune. Everyone uses the same tune how does this even happen

Just buy a 330i and it comes with the 3 stage manifold from the factory
Can anybody tell me, can I can just put just the disa valves itself on a 328, what do I need the actual manifold itself that comes with 330 ?
The manifolds are totally different there are holes in the 3 stage that the disa valves bolt into. They are not there on the stock one.
