    OVERNIGHT OATS RECIPE
    1/2 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1/4 cup Greek yogurt
    1 tablespoon chia seeds
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 banana, sliced
    1 tablespoon peanut butter
Combine oats, almond milk, yogurt, chia seeds cinnamon in a sealable jar (or bowl) stir until well combined.
Gently fold in banana and peanut butter. Place in the fridge overnight or for a minimum of 3 hours.
Top with your favorite toppings (if you'd like!) and enjoy.
    NOTES
Sometimes I’ll add half of the peanut butter to the oats and save the other half for a topping!
Don’t like bananas, try swapping in strawberries, apples, blueberries, or blackberries instead!
I recommend using rolled oats for the best texture. Quick oats can also work but will result in a softer, mushier texture.
Overnight oats will happily last in the fridge for up to 3 days.

I have been eating eating overnight oats for 4 months and have lost 25 pounds. I have been fighting weight my whole life and have tried everything to loose weight. It's been the best thing I have ever done. I only add the oats, oatmilk. Vinalla yogurt and top with cinnamon. I do add 3 teaspoon fully of bobs red mill high fiber oat bran to my overnight oats in the morning. I also warm my overnight oats in the microwave for like 60 seconds and add alittle oatmilk to it. I will be eating this forever each morning. My blood pressure has dropped to almost normal and my cholesterol is lower too.

Microwaving the oats based on all my reading might hurt a lot of the good bacteria this specific method creates. Ideally you have two choices based on my reading. Eat cold or warm up two methods. Keep the temp low and heat up slowly to a warm oatmeal or just do it your way and harm the bacteria. Either way this does not affect or effect what sounds like your purpose and motivation behind these oats so keep up the good fight. I am only starting on my fermented foods journey and had my first overnight oats today and have been consuming kimchi and saurkraut foods a lot lately as two examples! Any feedback welcomed! I have been making normal oats my entire life and only recently have been able to stomach yogurt and kefir as I do not like the smell of milky/cheesey products esp cream cheese is a big no lol!

I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.

When my husband retired nine months ago, we determined to eat healthier and walk over two miles almost every day. I’ve lost 54 lbs. so far. We recently tried overnight oats and really enjoy them. Our recipe is very similar to yours, but we add raisins and apples. We especially like the texture and sweetness the apples add. I’m a new subscriber and will definitely be using your advice and recipes. Thanks!

    1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

I have eaten over night oats for a few years now. It helps me so much. I can maintain a full belly longer, great for the digestive tract, and wonderful for your colon! That all being said, my favorite over night oats are the oatmeal with milk vanilla Greek yogurt and frozen raspberries and chopped walnuts!! By far my favorite, 2nd choice would be the banana and peanut butter or apples with walnuts and a sprinkle of Apple pie spice😁 I love overnight oats.

I started overnight oats 2 mos ago when diag with cancer & it has helped me loose weight as well. I take a few spoon fulls in the morn b/f coffee & then use the rest as a snack during the day. I have acid reflux & can only eat smaller meals/snacks at a time. Since I gave up deserts instead of reaching for a cracker, cookie or cheese I eat a few spoons of the oats. I change them up depending on what fruit I have in the house & this keeps it fun. Try it as they are amazing! ❤️

Add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa to this mix. I do this for my overnight oats and for my Chia pudding. I mash half a banana to the base (of the overnight oats or Chia pudding) along with the cocoa powder mix and then add the rest of the banana, sliced, with peanut butter stir a bit and then put in fridge. It is soooo good!

Your recipe is quite similar to what I prep and eat every morning. Made the night before and placed in the fridge. it’s a medley of Rolled oats, Oat milk or skimmed milk, raisins, whey protein powder, chia seeds, and or pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, chopped apple, or banana, blueberries (always) walnuts, almonds and a few Brazil nuts. But not all together, just change it around. Will definitely give your recipe ago. Cheers!👍

You've given me some ideas. For around 20 years I've been soaking (for 24 hours) organic rolled oats in pear juice. Have it in the morning with a banana and some yoghurt - sometimes with honey as well. An excellent breakfast that keeps me going all day. Never thought of peanut butter, cinnamon or chia, but will try it.
The trick is though that you have to soak the oats for at least 4 hours, on order to release all their goodness. Good video. Thanks for posting.

I make mine using 1/2 cup GF oats, tablespoon Chia seeds, a heaping teaspoon of Cinnamon, and 3/4 cup Lactose free milk. That is my base when I get ready to eat them in the morning I add Walnuts and whatever fruit or nut butter I am in the mood for. Sometimes I just eat them without fruit the base recipe alone reminds me of tapioca or rice pudding. 😁
