OVERNIGHT OATS RECIPE
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 banana, sliced
1 tablespoon peanut butter
Combine oats, almond milk, yogurt, chia seeds cinnamon in a sealable jar (or bowl) stir until well combined.
Gently fold in banana and peanut butter. Place in the fridge overnight or for a minimum of 3 hours.
Top with your favorite toppings (if you'd like!) and enjoy.
NOTES
Sometimes I’ll add half of the peanut butter to the oats and save the other half for a topping!
Don’t like bananas, try swapping in strawberries, apples, blueberries, or blackberries instead!
I recommend using rolled oats for the best texture. Quick oats can also work but will result in a softer, mushier texture.
Overnight oats will happily last in the fridge for up to 3 days.

I have been eating eating overnight oats for 4 months and have lost 25 pounds. I have been fighting weight my whole life and have tried everything to loose weight. It's been the best thing I have ever done. I only add the oats, oatmilk. Vinalla yogurt and top with cinnamon. I do add 3 teaspoon fully of bobs red mill high fiber oat bran to my overnight oats in the morning. I also warm my overnight oats in the microwave for like 60 seconds and add alittle oatmilk to it. I will be eating this forever each morning. My blood pressure has dropped to almost normal and my cholesterol is lower too.
If you only knew how much this has motivated me. Thank you so much.
U r eating oats breakfast or dinner?
Congratulations on your amazing journey! This motivates me
wow
Microwaving the oats based on all my reading might hurt a lot of the good bacteria this specific method creates. Ideally you have two choices based on my reading. Eat cold or warm up two methods. Keep the temp low and heat up slowly to a warm oatmeal or just do it your way and harm the bacteria. Either way this does not affect or effect what sounds like your purpose and motivation behind these oats so keep up the good fight. I am only starting on my fermented foods journey and had my first overnight oats today and have been consuming kimchi and saurkraut foods a lot lately as two examples! Any feedback welcomed! I have been making normal oats my entire life and only recently have been able to stomach yogurt and kefir as I do not like the smell of milky/cheesey products esp cream cheese is a big no lol!
I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.
When my husband retired nine months ago, we determined to eat healthier and walk over two miles almost every day. I’ve lost 54 lbs. so far. We recently tried overnight oats and really enjoy them. Our recipe is very similar to yours, but we add raisins and apples. We especially like the texture and sweetness the apples add. I’m a new subscriber and will definitely be using your advice and recipes. Thanks!
Good for you, Brenda!! Keep it up - and thanks for sharing your favorites!
Thanks for encouraging other viewes, this give them motivation to loose weight and stay healthy.
Congratulations on your weight loss.....I am working on losing some pounds myself...
Congratulations 🎉🎈 question did eating overnight oats help with weight loss or you did other things as well
I love the raisins and apple idea. Thank you! 😃
My favorite flavor that I just recently discovered is pumpkin pie overnight oats! It's perfect especially for this time of year! Here's the recipe I use:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
dash salt
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tbsp canned pumpkin puree
2 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
This sounds really yummy!😄
YUM!
Oooooooo I must try this!
Pumpkin oats are definitely the best!!!
For sure, I will try! 😍
My new favorite breakfast is overnight oats. I resisted for so long as the idea of cold oats didn't sound good. Once I gave in I was so happy I did! I love to use Chocolate protein powder, my homemade Greek yogurt, Chia seeds and raspberries!
Sounds great!
Yummmm.
You can heat them in the morning
Never been a fan of cold oats, but I like the flavor combination. I can see doing this ahead of time and then heating in the morning before eating. I'll definitely give this recipe a try.
YES! they would be great warmed up!
I tried the heating once tasted so gross ..but everyone is different ...
I personally don’t like cold oats (there’s only been one recipe I can handle cold- now I can’t remember what it is) but I have been heating mine up and it’s been easier for me that way
My favorite combo is banana and walnut. I don’t make overnight oats though; I make steel cut oats with chia and hemp seeds in the instant pot and mix in mashed bananas and walnuts afterwards . I like the texture and creaminess of steel cut oats.
I do something similar: Frozen blueberries, vanilla Greek yogurt , oatmeal, banana, chia seeds, topped with walnuts and frozen strawberries. Delish! I will give this a try! :)
I have eaten over night oats for a few years now. It helps me so much. I can maintain a full belly longer, great for the digestive tract, and wonderful for your colon! That all being said, my favorite over night oats are the oatmeal with milk vanilla Greek yogurt and frozen raspberries and chopped walnuts!! By far my favorite, 2nd choice would be the banana and peanut butter or apples with walnuts and a sprinkle of Apple pie spice😁 I love overnight oats.
I started overnight oats 2 mos ago when diag with cancer & it has helped me loose weight as well. I take a few spoon fulls in the morn b/f coffee & then use the rest as a snack during the day. I have acid reflux & can only eat smaller meals/snacks at a time. Since I gave up deserts instead of reaching for a cracker, cookie or cheese I eat a few spoons of the oats. I change them up depending on what fruit I have in the house & this keeps it fun. Try it as they are amazing! ❤️
Add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa to this mix. I do this for my overnight oats and for my Chia pudding. I mash half a banana to the base (of the overnight oats or Chia pudding) along with the cocoa powder mix and then add the rest of the banana, sliced, with peanut butter stir a bit and then put in fridge. It is soooo good!
That sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing.
I'm just learning about overnight oats and there seems to be as many videos on them as possible flavor combos. After watching way too many videos, yours is by far the best, simply explained, to the point while being thorough, and enjoyable to watch. So happy to find your channel. Thanks!
Your recipe is quite similar to what I prep and eat every morning. Made the night before and placed in the fridge. it’s a medley of Rolled oats, Oat milk or skimmed milk, raisins, whey protein powder, chia seeds, and or pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, chopped apple, or banana, blueberries (always) walnuts, almonds and a few Brazil nuts. But not all together, just change it around. Will definitely give your recipe ago. Cheers!👍
I had tried overnight oats before and just couldn’t do it, yuck! Then I saw someone add the chia seeds and yogurt, game changers! I actually really like them now! Nut butter and bananas are awesome!
I LOVE the addition of yogurt and chia too... makes all the difference.
@@CleanandDeliciousDani
Are overnight oats meant to be eaten cold?
Oats are only good hot 🔥...I don't think it defeats the purpose of what this dish is suppose to do if you only eat it hot ....☺️.
@@ilovenoodles7483 I think so but it's gross takes all flavor away when they are cold and or if you heat them ....I only eat oats hot straight out of pot ....😉
Im so addicted to these the peanut butter and banana is my fave and also the peanut butter and jelly OMG I have so much fun making these, making the milk and different butters and Chia desserts thank you so much for sharing yourself with the world we love and appreciate you 😘
I make this at home too. My favourite ❤
I put apple, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, banana, coconut flakes, raisins, Greek yoghurt- delicious 😋 😍
That sounds great!
@@CleanandDeliciousDani Yr channel is v inspirational. As a mum, you covered all the topics that I enjoyed. Please do some more on difficult teenagers and how to cope with them. 🤣🤣
I'm obsessed with pb banana oatmeal. It's the only kind I make and sometimes, I like adding a tbsp of choco chips on top 😋
Apples, walnuts or pecans, rasberries or blackberries and cinnamon are my favorites. Burst of flavor in every bite!
It is also very delicious to replace the banana with strawberries. Feels like you're having PB&J sandwich. Yummy!
100% - great suggestion!
I’m so glad you showed this! I’ve been looking for a overnight oat recipe! This one looks great Dani! Thanks!
I'm so glad! I love this combo + I hope you do too!
You've given me some ideas. For around 20 years I've been soaking (for 24 hours) organic rolled oats in pear juice. Have it in the morning with a banana and some yoghurt - sometimes with honey as well. An excellent breakfast that keeps me going all day. Never thought of peanut butter, cinnamon or chia, but will try it.
The trick is though that you have to soak the oats for at least 4 hours, on order to release all their goodness. Good video. Thanks for posting.
Finally someone talk about the cotainer! Thank you very much!!
I do something similar… I use steel cut oats… I put the mason jar in my tea kettle, make my coffee and heat my overnight oats!!
Good morning, Dani. I tried peanut butter banana overnight oats that I made. It tested very delicious, creamy, and healthy 😊. I loved your recipe 😀.
I love peanut butter and banana overnight oats! I don't usually add yoghurt to mine, but I might try because it sounds good! I also really enjoy berries (raspberries are my favorites but blueberries, strawberries, any berries work too!) and almond butter, or peanut butter and raisins. I love overnight oats, especially in the summer. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
The yogurt makes it extra creamy! Thanks for sharing all of your ideas, they sound great!
My new favorite breakfast!!! The only thing I do differently is that I use one medium banana instead of just half, and I don't add chia seeds (personally don't like them much). I also like adding pumpkin spice instead of just cinnamon.
And btw, I find it much easier to stir if I mash up the banana first before adding everything else! 🧡
I subbed the peanut butter with nutella, the greek yogurt with hagan das, the chia seeds with chocolate chips, and the rolled oats with lucky charms. Thanks for the recipe. Keep 'em coming 👍
🤣👍
Lol not right
Lolol
Thank you the the new recipe! I’ve been putting 1/4 cup of pumpkin, 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Of course 1/2 cup of oats, 3/4 cup of almond milk, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. I
this sounds delicious
YUM! I love pumpkin anything - so this sounds great.
It’s curious but I feel like you are my mom😭❤️ thank you so much for your recipes, they are helping me with my weight loss.
This looks so good. I do same base, but flavor with vanilla, dried cherries and cocoa nibs. Sometime I add a sprinkle of brown sugar. Love overnight oats
Oooh... that sounds amazing!!
I've been making overnight oats for couple of months now and my favorite combination is mashed bananas along with a Vanilla And Raspberry protein powder!
Make sure to try this recipe out! I'm telling you it is soooooo good😋😋
Ooooh, yum! I will try this for sure! Thanks for sharing.
Can you message me with your recipe please and thank you very much.
Please message me your recipe please.
TYVM!
@@suzanroggendorf9464 Yes sure!
For one serving I put:
1⅓ cup rolled oats
1 cup milk
150 grams yogurt
Few tablespoons chia seeds (in my opinion, the more the better because it really adds a nice texture to the overnight oats and it is super nutritious)
1 mashed banana
1 scoop of Vanilla And Raspberry protein powder (basically every neutral protein powder taste will do just fine)
*and if you like it even sweeter, you can add a few drops of honey...
*I usually put it in the fridge for 7-10 hours (overnight)
That's it! I've tried some variations but this is my favorite for sure!
@@lavycube3521 such an amazing recipe I can’t wait to try it, I’m so sorry to bother you, I was just curious if you used whey protein powder, as I’m gluten intolerant so I have to use different protein powders and sometimes they mix differently than the usual ones, I was just curious if you didn’t mind me asking
Yum, strawberry banana and blueberry banana.
Oh, that sounds great.
I have this four times a week. I use strawberries, blueberries, almonds and I add flax seed in addition to the chia seeds, also some vanilla extract and a some honey. That and an 8oz low sodium V8 and a cup of black coffee and I have breakfast four days a week.
Trying these tonight for tomorrow morning!! Can't wait!! Smells so good!!! So glad I found you! You are the greatest!! Helping me stay on track!! Love it!!
OMG! Super simple and straight forward! Also, I LOVE how you break down the nutrition facts! I just subscribed and will definitely be going through your channel for more ideas! Thank you so much and please keep up the GREAT work!
I love overnight oats!! Blueberries, 🍌 are my favorite but I love 🍌 and peanut butter too!! I make mine vegan with unsweetened coconut milk!!😋😋💗
That sounds SO good.
For years I have had this kind of oatmeal breakfast. A favorite variation is raspberries, banana, peach yogurt and the peanut butter. I make up 6 bowls of oatmeal with walnuts and vary with strawberrys, raspberries, Blackberrys, and blueberries. Sometimes I add dried Cranberry to the oatmeal before I cook it in the microwave.. I use matching berry yogurt or peach flavor with any berry dish. I am going to try your overnight method. My wife thinks I'm nuts; "he eats peanut butter in his oatmeal!" Thanks for the video.
Have some hemp & flax seeds as well as chia seeds. & can’t forget the protein powder!!! So many combos, can’t wait to try it
I'm using a very similar combination recently. The difference is that i don't use yogurt and i add raisins, cocoa powder and honey.
This is also my favourite combination. Very enjoyable and informative
Overnight oats are one of my favorite breakfasts (and snacks!). They are so hearty and satisfying and perfect for supporting your health and weight loss goals. Peanut butter and banana overnight oats are my absolute favorite and I'm excited to share them with you. Enjoy! XO - Dani

So this has been an age old question that I've not got the answer to because no one has been brave enough to say anything:
Are overnight oats meant to be eaten cold or warmed up??
I didn’t know I was a banana peanut butter person until I started making your recipes, now I most definitely am.
That's so funny! I am such a banana peanut butte person (as you've probably noticed!).
I recently discovered you on UA-cam. I just wanted to say thank you for all your wonderful recipes and ideas. This one especially was delicious🤗
I LOVE THE OVER NIGHT BREAKFAST . I USE INSTANT BOX FLAVORITE CEREAL . AND USE HONEY , YOGURT, SEEDS, MILK FRESH FRUIT IF PLAIN OATMEAL . I USE LACTOSE MILK AND IN THE MORNING I DO A 30SECOND HEATING IN MICROWAVE .
This is really a great breakfast for me, as I am interested not only in healthy weight control, but a non-infammatory diet. Thank-you!! ❤
I just added Honey and Raisins, it turned out so yummy!
What a quick and easy idea, placed the rest for the morning!
Love that you jumped right in! Enjoy.
Send me your Personal recipe please & TYVM!
I like adding chopped walnuts and a small amount of small chocolate chips to mine, makes a great recipe even better!!
My favourite is apple/cinnamon and hazelnut butter.
I also use whole grain of oat. 🍎💟
That sounds great! Thanks for sharing.
I have always loved your bloopers. I watch your videos just for the end.
I don't know if someone already mentioned this and this video is a year old to be fair, however for anyone seeing this now.. Just as a tipp, if you care about the healthy side of oats, you do want to activate them with some citrus, so throw some lemon or orange juice in as well.
I always use unsweetened almond milk, peanut butter, vanilla extract and honey to my overnight oats, topped with chopped banana or golden kiwi or apple before taking it to work. Incorporating banana into the mixture before soaking looks delicious, I will try that next time. Thanks for sharing.
You didn’t mention yogurt, is that because you don’t use it? I’ve been looking for a recipe without it and can’t seem to find one and want to be sure it’s alright before I make it.
@@nichole399 I don’t use yogurt with my overnight oats.
hazelnut milk for the overnight, and blueberries and chocolate chips as toppings next morning. I can have it for breakfast hundreds of mornings in a row and never get tired of it.
Oh yum! That sounds really good.
Yes, that looks delicious! I will have to tweak the recipe but I'm going to make it up tonight for tomorrow's breakfast. thank you very much. Have a wonderful day. 😁
I just made these and they taste amazing!!! Stirring the mix was a mess, so I want to try "batching" them in a bigger bowl next time, and just dividing it up into 4ths for the jars. Thanks for the recipe!
You can also put the lid on the mason jar and shake it!
PB and banana is one of my all time favs too! Thanks for sharing again for the great reminder heading into Fall!
Dani I have been eating over might oats .
And since I am making and eating every morning.thank you.💯
I absolutely love this recipe I am particular with texture so I prefer the quick oats but I have to add a dash more of almond milk because 1/2 cup soaks up pretty fast. Will watch the recipe for other overnight oats on your channel
I love making this for breakfast and to take to work for a quick yummy snack I just cange up the fruit sometimes I''ll do blueberries and raspberries and strawberries banana or very small chunks of mango or pineapple if I want a little bit of a tropical taste but this is definitely something everyone should try it so good😁
I love how versatile they are! SO many ways to make them. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for always sharing healthy, delicious and easy recipes. My kids love overnight oats and will definitely try this one! Btw, love your necklace too! ❤️❤️❤️
It's my pleasure! I'm so glad you are enjoying them.
I love to use Planet Oat oat milk & also if I am in a hurry, have no fresh fruit, I have stirred in some strawberry preserves or another time I added apricot/peach preserve and both were yummy.
Hi . It's my favourite too . These jars are my saviour . I also add flaxseed powder . Nuts . Frozen berries mango . Keep posting .
They're so good - Thanks for watching!
Dear Dani ,thank you I use to make it every night and eat it in the morning ,and it is delicious.and also with raisins it is good too.
Jusy tried these 🤩 yum! Apple -banana -peanut butter -blueberries - strawberries honey- Greek yogurt and oat milk 🤤
I was never a fan of raw oats but your recipe has converted me, they beat boring porridge. YUMMY!
YAY! So glad to hear it :)
@@CleanandDeliciousDani Thanks for such a wonderful channel. I will be trying your Mexican skillet recipe, it sounds and looks delicious 😊

I make mine using 1/2 cup GF oats, tablespoon Chia seeds, a heaping teaspoon of Cinnamon, and 3/4 cup Lactose free milk. That is my base when I get ready to eat them in the morning I add Walnuts and whatever fruit or nut butter I am in the mood for. Sometimes I just eat them without fruit the base recipe alone reminds me of tapioca or rice pudding. 😁
Yum! Thanks for sharing your technique!
That sounds amazing, is it ok to ask if you’re gluten free? I’m intolerant so I’ve been phasing it out over the years, I was just curious if you are GF if you recommended any protein powders? There’s a lot more options out now, I’m waiting for my trial of some using pea protein so we’ll see how that goes

I’ve tried overnight oats before and just don’t like the sogginess of them. Hopefully yours are much better. I love everything you make so I will definitely try them
Did you use quick cooking oats? Quick-cooking oats definitely make for a mushier texture... I recommend rolled oats! That may help a bit.
@@CleanandDeliciousDani I did use quick cooking oats. Thx for the tip. ☺️

Oh yum! I think I will try add some cocoas powder next time!
Yes, that's delicious too! Or with chocolate chips instead of the cocoa powder!
Ohhh cocoa powder!! Yum! Would I need to add any honey or sweetener for the Coco? Or is the banana and pb enough sweetness?

I have a yogurt chia banana bowl (or berries) every day for lunch.
So yummy!

Really like it! Thank for sharing!
Oats might smell raw so what I did was I rinsed the rolled oats with water, drained the water and put the hot boiled milk. Then I added other ingredients, like chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla extract and peanut butter. Then I mixed chopped banana while eating.
Thanks 🥰
My pleasure, enjoy!
My favorite flavor combo as well!
Try all that but warm istead of cold on breezy december morning. Or just like that but in the morning add a hot cup of milk with half a cup of creamy peanut butter mix well then smother on top of a steamy pile of pancake... 🥴🤗
Made this for tomorrow. Not concerned with weight loss, time saving.
Enjoy it, Regina!
