The thing is with Gojira, it’s their live performances. They have the most amazing stage energy i’ve ever seen. If you want some epic death metal, check out their live performances at The Link Alive concert. It’s so good. These guys are phenomenal, and deserve all the credit and recognition they’re finally receiving. Check out these live performances: Oroborus - Live at Eurockéennes Remembrance - The Link Alive Ocean Planet - Live at Rio The Way of All Flesh - Live Clone - Studio Toxic garbage Island - Vieilles Charrues concert Wisdom comes - Brixton academy The Gift of Guilt - Brixton Academy Explosia - Brixton Academy Indians - Vieilles Charrues In the Forest - Link Alive And so on... Would love to see you react to either one with sound, you should like these... Cheers from Belgium
Amazing list of live performances! I would also add Pray from the Red Rocks show. It is an 10 minute extended version and a masterpiece. It was hearing that song a year ago that got me hooked and they have become one of my favourite bands. Enjoy the journey 🤘I certainly have.
I have met him like 3 times. Nicest most humble regular guy, for a metal god… lets be honest. Gojira is tops for metal right now. Been a fan for many years. Their music speaks to me. I don’t care how cheese that sounds. Its true.
Yeah, him and Mario are one of the nicest people in metal. Mario is literally replying to people on instagram casually chatting or explaining his drum patterns
The brothers Duplantier! Mario the drummer and Joe the singer. Christian Andreu on guitar andJ ean-Michel Labadie on bass. One of the best live bands! French dudes! This festival is in Clisson, France. Toxic Garbage Island same show.
I have seen them live once ...AND I am stoked to say they will be coming in October to my State....I live in Maine ...where our biggest city has less of a population then this crowd. .when I first saw them it was with Mastodon..I am sooo FACKING stoked
Silvera was my introduction song to this incredible band 5 years ago and since then I'm listening to their discography almost every day. They're super creative, talented, consistent and what's more you can add. Hope you react to Global Warming (live at Silver Cord Studio). This song is just something else on different levels especially the emotional one. But you should listen to all of their songs. Each of them is worth one's time
Saw them a year and a half back at Brixton Academy. They were excellent. I was over on the side so as not to become a middle-aged man pulled by mistake into the mosh, from which I might never escape. They are brilliant on record and live.
Silvera is one of the best songs you could listen to I am so glad this was your first Gojira song, not to mention that you have an awesome reaction to Gojira!!
That’s Mario Duplantier on the drums. Gojira is super amazing. I’m not a metal head but I do love a few metal bands and these guys hold my metal heart! 🖤 You should listen to We are Born For One Thing, amazing song and amazing video!! You can see more of Mario’s drumming!
Love Gojira. Great band. Check out their songs The Chant and Amazonia from their last album. Great music. My other recommendation is the band Mastodon. Another amazing heavy metal band. Check out their song Steambreather. It is not their heaviest song, it is good as a starter. Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Joe has a bit more of a "shout" scream as far as death metal goes. These guys are exceptionally groovy and progressive compared to most of their peers, they break the mold in a wonderful way. As many folks have said, "The Gift of Guilt" live at Brixton is an absolute must. The performance made me an instant fan. 🤘
Hellfest is held in Clisson - a small city next to the village I used to live in France. Clisson is like Wacken in Germany a small city of 6-7000 souls transforming during the festival to a population during the 3 days the festival last of about 200000 people. Funny to see all these very friendly, although looking touch, black cled metalheads going around in this medieval city - yes, yes, with a medieval castle (fort) and so.
The drummer and vocalist are brothers. Gojira is a great metal band. They have a lot of bangers. You would probably feel safe and enjoy yourself at a Metallica concert. They're a legacy band, so you see a lot of grandparents and young children at their shows. The crowd isn't too wild or anything
You liked a banger from arguably their worst album.. Imagine what you'll discover next :) Also you MUST check Gojira - Toxic Garbage Island (Live at Vieilles Charrues Festival 2010) it is AMAZING !
Tom, you can go. I've been to wacken open air 10 years in a row and theres evrything between 7 an 70. Only in front of the stage is it a bit more agressive, and then still in a polite way. If you hang back just a little your just fine. People who go to festivals like this go for the music and generally respect that everyone enjoys music in their own way. Also sneaking in a suggestion, something I think you might like: Klone and the song Yonder (the 2019 Hellfest one is very nice).
Tom, you want a real banger, check out The Heaviest Matter of the Universe from Hellfest 2013. Much heavier, and longer. I'd also recommend the music video for Stranded, from the same album as this track. Kind of shorter, more concise, but a really wild song with an absolutely brilliant video. Overall, though, you can't go wrong with these guys, they really stand above the pack.
Your trip through European metal would inevitably lead you to Gojira. One of the best bands out there. This is a good start. Try 'Gift of Guilt at Brixton academy' or 'Oroborus at Les Eurokeennes' next (they tend to be better live than on the album)
Gojira have made alot of banger songs here's my fav "Remembrance" "Love" "Clone" "Backbone "Oroborus" "Flying Whale" "The Gift of Guilt" "Born In Winter" and lastly "The Heaviest Matter of the Universe"
Not the best audio captation for one of their live. Check the Brixton academy as recommended, or Pray (Extended version) Live at Red Rocks, or any song, like Flying Whales at PolandRock :)
there are 2 live performances I would consider worthy of watching: Tool - Sober, and Rammstein - Du Hust in Paris. Other than those what's the point in hearing worse audio quality?
Their Gift of Guilt live at Brixton Academy is a must!
Yes to this.
Second yes to this
Therdond to this.
What a crispy delight .. thank you!
Saw them at Knotfest few years ago and fell in love. I love Slipknot but the creativity of Gojira almost stole my ears that night.
Gojira is a french band, and Hellfest is in France, gathering a public of 60 000 metal fans each years
Gift of guilt live brixton academy is a absolute masterpiece

Great list, agreed with all.

Gojira's drummer is insanely talented. The rest of the band is great too...but that drumming!!! Cheers!
singer? the lead guitarist and singing growling?!
I have met him like 3 times. Nicest most humble regular guy, for a metal god… lets be honest. Gojira is tops for metal right now. Been a fan for many years. Their music speaks to me. I don’t care how cheese that sounds. Its true.
best metal band we have right now
It’s funny you say the lead singer looks scary. He’s super friendly, he’s super environmental conscious and a vegan haha
the heaviest great guy in the universe
Yeah, him and Mario are one of the nicest people in metal. Mario is literally replying to people on instagram casually chatting or explaining his drum patterns

I heard this live a week ago and it was amazing. You gotta see them in concert. It's a must.
I have seen them live once ...AND I am stoked to say they will be coming in October to my State....I live in Maine ...where our biggest city has less of a population then this crowd. .when I first saw them it was with Mastodon..I am sooo FACKING stoked
just one of the best metal bands of the planet since 25 years

@@thoronthol1175 yeah that's a badass name :)

Joe is THE SWEETEST guy you would wanna run into LOLOL He really is a soft spoken nice guy.
More of this please! Gojira will not disappoint you

great guys and huge advocates for nature and a green world. all their songs have a message

Oh! And I liked and subscribed 🖤 Great reaction
I find the notion that Joe is a "scary guy" highly amusing, as what I gather he's the sweetest, friendliest guy.. 🤭
FLYING WHALES!
L'Enfant Sauvage live Pol n Rock 🤘
Gojira Remembrance

It's you that has the "stank"face😠
😆👍 . This is one of my favourites by them for sure🤘

Best band on earth. Mario is best drummer. A rabbit hole well worth going down
Joe, the singer, is one of the sweetest guy there is. He just likes "noise".
At 3:51 I literally laughed out loud and smiled in sheer unexpected delight. How they do it so many times and it never gets old amazes me.

"Remembrance"
"Love"
"Clone"
"Backbone
"Oroborus"
"Flying Whale"
"The Gift of Guilt"
"Born In Winter"
and lastly "The Heaviest Matter of the Universe"
Please listen to Plini!
It’s instrumental progressive metal and it’s so spacey and awesome!
Plini - Electric Sunrise
Every piece matters
5:50 🙏🤘
I have tickets for july 2025
Whenever I say Gojira it’s always in a gravelly Asian voice. Can’t stop… 😏
If you keep going at this rate, you'll be into death metal in no time at all haha! Cheers!
Not the best audio captation for one of their live. Check the Brixton academy as recommended, or Pray (Extended version) Live at Red Rocks, or any song, like Flying Whales at PolandRock :)
Watch this : Belacor - The smoke of many fires
but joe is such a nice guy
Please react to CLUTCH (the best band you've never heard of ©). I suggest for your first go, either Electric Worry (their most well-known song), Burning Beard, 10001110101 or A Quick Death In Texas.
FYI...this same comment will appear ONLY if I have watched your reaction video. I am not here to spam your channel...I just want to help get a great band some much deserved recognition. P.S....I will always give your reactions a thumbs-up, even if I don't care for or like the band or song you react to...because I like you and your channel.
if you need some church in your life, try Pray
there are 2 live performances I would consider worthy of watching: Tool - Sober, and Rammstein - Du Hust in Paris. Other than those what's the point in hearing worse audio quality?
