Im Etche.. my hair's thick and full therefore it's hard noticing the length.. Plus it gets really annoying and frustrating. Cos the people around me don't really understand especially my mum.. Like it takes for ever on wash days, but she feels im being extravagant or smtin.. Dun even know how to explain it😑

I'm Ghanaian and my mum used to do this a lot when I was a little girl but I've just started to do this again to grow and protect my hair and it's so amazing
girl you know it! i big chopped last year and i was born in africa, moved countries young girl , they used to do this to my hair as a kid and now i been wearing my threading under my wig. when im at home, wig comes off and i run around the house in my threading. take it out every 3 to 4 weeks. last time i stretched it to five weeks. no knots! so im gonna go 6 weeks this time.i shampoo every second week and use hair mask every week. hair smells nice. i cant wait to see how much its gonna grow. im so mad at myself for not opening my eyes to the natural hair movement earlier in life. like you can literally grow your hair with deep conditioner, shampoo, thread, olive oil and your wig! cheap and easy

I'm looking for new things to do with my hair. I usually just go to a barber to get it cut (for practicality) but I would LOVE to just take the time and build a hair care routine for myself and I can't wait to try this!
