  • In this episode, I will be giving you my 10 tips for the Kentucky Bourbon Trail!
Listen, I am just a guy that has a little experience with the Bourbon Trail. I have been up multiple times. I have been blessed to have been invited to do barrel picks. I was able to try out many restaurants, distilleries, and bars. I am leaning on my own experience for this episode - no one else's. My list is not meant to be a tour guide or itinerary. These are just some tips from my experiences up there.
There are so many places to visit, I couldn't possibly hit every one of them. If you have some awesome stops to recommend, call them out in the comments! Cheers!

I live 2 hours from Bardstown and have never been to any distillery. But that changes soon

Very good information... been to the Bourbon trail twice and I agree with all of your points.

I just did Louisville at the end of April into May. Tip #4 is a big one. We booked our tours about a month in advance and tours were already starting to sell out. We hit everything we wanted, but we had to change times once or twice to fit it all in.

I think another tip would be “Be flexible!”. I’ve had to pivot so many times one these trips, too.

I also recommend a tour of the Louisville Slugger museum near Old Forester downtown. Your tip about the history is spot on, too! And check out local liquor stores for bottles you may not be able to find at home.

Thanks for watching! The Louisville Slugger museum is a good one! It’s practically across the street from our friends at Angels Envy, too!

The trail is on the other side of the country for me. Do you know if it’s possible to ship bottles from Kentucky to our home? Is it possible to take bottles on the plane?

Some distilleries will ship for you, for a fee. You also are able to take some on your checked bag. I believe it’s up to 5 liters of unopened whiskey.

Great video and suggestions, heading there next month for the first time! Where is the best place to pick up a bourbon passport and if there is a map of all distillery’s where could we find that? Thanks for the vid

You can grab one at any of the distilleries officially on the Bourbon Trail. You also can buy it here:
