No even gonna lie that’s my cat that has been missing for like a year. We live in the coxs creek area and she ran off a long time ago. Honestly looked forever and just thought something got her as there is coyotes everywhere behind our house. And she is a free spirit. Her name is Lilly 😂
i really enjoy this series, and especially the pricing round up at the end. i'm the guy that's too lazy to hunt for bourbon, but the next time i'm driving through KY maybe i'll pick something up at one of the stores you guys highlighted. thanks!
Every now and then, a video just hits all the right notes. This is very relevant since my wife and I drive through KY once or twice a year and try to hit some bourbon picks on the way. I definitely learned a few things watching this. I am not familiar with your channel, but now I'm subscribing. Keep up the great work!
Nice haul! Every time I'm at a store that has those behind the counter special bottles at secondary or higher prices, I always comment to them " I enjoyed visiting your museum"
Multiple Bardstown Chateau de Laubade just sitting on a shelf at the first liquor store stop… crazy! I’ve never even one on the wild in Southern California! These videos are great! Gives me an idea what prices are like over there compared to here. Cheers!
Awesome episode....I went to Heaven Hill...Lux Row...Bardstown was closed ...and Willet...this video made me realize I have to go back as I missed so much! Thank you!!
I have loved all of these so far, even though I don't know if I will ever get to shop any of these places ever. Seeing what's hot and techniques is always something fun. My favorite part is that you leave the liquor store names in. Don't know if you have to ask permission or not, but I am sure they appreciate it too. Especially one that was only open 3 months. It should help that place get noticed a bit more and hopefully still be there 3 years from now. The UA-cam whiskey family is all about spreading the love after all. Thanks for the video!
New viewer here, hi! I'm actually happy to see so many of these secondary market bottles still sitting on the shelves and people not fueling the craze. I've always felt negatively towards stores who mark these way up, because it's practically gatekeeping their allocation.
So based on your input we are staying at Bardstown Motor Lodge. It's really pretty nice and the ladies working today are equally as nice. Thanks for the recommendation.
I read the top comment and have to add I saw thar coming. I watched this video 17 days ago and have been running words through my head, I too was at the Blind Pig on Saturday and purchased a bottle and had a taste before embarking on the Kentucky Bourbon Train . Sadly on a car who just wanted to run their nouths so much we couldn't hear the car curator. 4 of us with a DD who responsibly had a few tastes. This was after 2 of us ( yay me) attending a conisuer tasting at Heaven Hill curated by Holly. She announced a special grenade drop for the special weekend in Bardstown coincident with the conclusion of her tasting. I bought what I could at the gift counter, two 200 ml bottles, along with a Five Brothers and said - just take my money please. I enjoyed a neat pour of a Four Rose's single barrel in the train station before dinner. Well play3d Bardstown. My 1st ever trip to Kentucky
Saw the excitement about the 4 Roses and said "I should check that one store pick that I have and see if it's the same recipe"... and sure enough it was OBSQ! Mine was a few months youngers, but 121 proof. Great video. Certainly makes me want to jump in the car and head down there.
Another awesome bourbon hunting video!!! The selection of bourbons is so amazing - makes me so envious in deep South Africa!!! You guys are great - keep 'em coming!! Oh and btw, your green eyes are simply mezmerisingly beautiful, Sarah!!
We were in Bardstown last October and really enjoyed the trip with Keystone and The Blind Pig two of our favorites. Really was disappointed by the Heaven Hill store, but we loved Bardstown Bourbon Company. We dropped your name on our visit to their tasting room and the lunch there was amazing. I enjoy your road trip videos.
PLEASE READ. It has come to our attention through a comment posted here that we failed to illustrate any measures of responsibility in this video when it comes to consuming alcohol and driving. Obviously we know exactly how the day went for us, but as a viewer, your perception of our day is based solely on an edited version. What we failed to communicate in this video is who consumed which drinks, what was used for prop, how long we spent at certain locations, and that we, of course, do not condone drinking and driving in the slightest. As you did see in the video, Sara was the driver for the day which meant her consumption was limited to small tastes only. If a drink was fully consumed it would have been by Chad. We now realize that we have been taking our responsible measures for granted, and as a channel we have a responsibility to call out such measures in our videos, which we will be doing from here on out in all hunting videos. We have considered taking this video down, and re-editing and re-uploading it to better highlight responsibility, but we wanted to ask the opinion of our community first. This is something that we take very seriously and we want to handle it properly. Thanks for your time and we're happy to continue the conversation here and answer any questions.
Legal limit is .08 for a reason. It’s clearly possible to drink responsibly while still driving. Nice of you to post this message to clarify, but absolutely shouldn’t be necessary. Great video as always!
I def thought of that because I have made 2 tours of that larger area myself and that is always the challenge. I took from your composure and demeanor and how you spoke that you were not close to drunk. I don't think u should re edit to satisfy anyone. It is plain to see nobody in this video is driving under the influence. Very interesting video! What was the best price u found for btac bottles by the way? Did u see any reasonable Blantons in any of it's forms? Cheers
Great video, was just in Bardstown, there's a new liquor store on the main st. with a huge selection and decent prices. Was also at the Wild Turkey gift shop , they had bottles of Masters Keep.
Nice vid you two, happy for u that u found some rare bottles. . . Can’t wait to see your review on them. The Lux Row 12 year double barrel sounds tasty. Also very cool older discontinued bottles Chad picked up just for himself. Ooh and seeing that discontinued HH 6-yr green label on the shelf for $99, wish I could get that although a bit pricey. Eesh Stag Jr $399 that’s pricey but nice to see it on a shelf still. Funny seeing Sara scold Chad on spending too much lol. Dang that dinner looked good too. And those distilleries are beautiful, thanks for bringing us along!
Yay mammys kitchen. I'm from Southern California and was just in louisville for the bourbon classic. Also did some distillery tours and went back to Bardstown. And this time ate at mammys kitchen. You guys keep up the great work.
Love me some Blind Pig! And you're totally right about the mash smell in Bardstown. I used to work down there, and I would visit The Blind Pig over lunch each time I was there.
Love the video! I’m so glad you guys had a good experience at Heaven Hill. My friend and I stopped in and it was very crowded, no tours available and we asked if anything behind the counter was for sale and they were so rude to us. Very snobby and said those are private bottles from tours only. We left and wont go back. Stopped at Jim Beam and they were so amazing! I’d go back in a heartbeat.
That’s so odd! I feel like you must have just had the bad luck to get a bad employee, our experiences there have always been good, but yeah they do stay busy!
Nice huntin' and thanks for the share! We visited a year ago and agree the smell of the town is "mash in the air". We did a tasting at HH and completely struck out but glad you got a winner! We loved Preservation Distillery and got a few bottles there - love the RP 15 (caramel popcorn notes all day) but others were closed - need a return trip. Cheers y'all!
Been a while since I checked in on your channel. Really enjoy these "bourbon hunting" videos. Informative & well produced. I will watch every one of these if you keep putting them up. Thanks
Can't believe how much FAE01 is still on shelves in KY. Haven't seen a bottle in the upper Midwest in a loooong time. Still my fave of all the MM annual releases. Keep the bourbon hunting and distillery tour videos comin tho, great stuff! .
Ah, I was just there a couple of weeks ago and managed to score some good bottles, too. The Lux Row 12 Double Barrel is excellent! I was able to get the Hardin's Creek Jacob's Well and the Knob Creek 18-Year at Jim Beam. Keystone Liquor is a regular stop when I'm going through town. I'll have to check out a couple of the other stores next time. Thanks for the tips!
Great series you guys. The valley that those Heaven Hill Rickhouses are in is a sight to behold. Love Mammy’s Kitchen. My wife and I ate there when we visited Bardstown last spring ourselves. I had a slice of one of their wonderful pies also. Yum! I’m going to have to watch this again. Thanks!
I just found this channel awesome idea this is right up my ally me being from KY I love it. Thanks for the recommendations I am one who sticks with what I know Woodford all day but have wanted to expand my horizons.
The selection brings tears to this Canadian's eyes.
Same
Smartest and most relevant channel on UA-cam. Especially post Covid where demand continues to be more challenging in bourbon...
Thank you!!
I work in KY Hospitality and I get this question daily. I can contribute. Is there a way to email?
@@Newtonian40059 For sure! Itsbourbonnight@gmail.com

Probably batch 2 which is Dickel based if I had to guess. It sits around FL too.
Awesome episode....I went to Heaven Hill...Lux Row...Bardstown was closed ...and Willet...this video made me realize I have to go back as I missed so much! Thank you!!
This definitely a bourbon lover's must visit destination ❤ the Hacienda style building is worth it alone! Cheers 🥂 y'all from ETn Smoky Mtns area--
Great video, now I know where to stay , love your videos
All those pournbon shots were great!

Fun trip, the motor lodge looked great...

Drinking Chinese Bourbon is a much more agregious offense!
You do not owe anybody any explanations. F em!
From past trips we knew all this, wasn’t really necessary to the channel regulars, but some always have to find something to complain about.
Great video, was just in Bardstown, there's a new liquor store on the main st. with a huge selection and decent prices. Was also at the Wild Turkey gift shop , they had bottles of Masters Keep.
