Logan was dead at the start of the movie because Deadpool dug him up somewhere around 2031 (based on the level of decomposition). Deadpool had a TIME pad, he traveled through time and space to get to Logan.

@@hydro3672 Yup
He is marvel Jesus
Im still confused how Wade went to "The Sacred Timeline" to audition for The Avengers and ends up back in his own 10005 Timeline to start selling certified pre-owned vehicles with Peterpool
Because when Nega Sonic fixed Cable's time machine, she accidentally made it so he can travel between universes.
That's never explicitly said but Marvel writers are dumb and can't tell the difference between timelines and alternate universes. Thats why the show Loki is such a mess.
The universes didnt all begin at yhr same time and each timeline rhat is created from one brqnch dont all create thr same amount of branches at the same time either. So Not all tinelines will carry the same times and dates
@@BaithNa was logan in age of ultron? I don't remember that..
Every branch in the Marvel multiverse originated from the same timeline. Theoretically, you could travel between any of them with an advanced time machine like Cable's. You simply have to go back in time far enough to before your branch started, then go forward in time in a different direction to end up on a different branch. It's a bit like reloading an earlier save in a video game so you can do things differently.
Did you watch the post credits of Deadpool 2? Deadpool was able to off Ryan Reynolds and other multi universe trotting things.
Atleast the new wolverine is so commited to the point that he actually wears the comic book costume.
I have the perfect answer. We just shut off our brain and stop looking so far into it because it hurts my brain when i think about it😂

We're all nerds here and share a common passion, no need for infighting, really.
I thought about this and dismissed it because we're not supposed to take it literally. What matters is Best Wolverine is there while Logan Wolverine is dead and his sacrifice honored.
Yeah you could even just explain it as deadpool knows the film came out in 2024 so he deliberately uses topical references
I think the six year time jump happened after Deadpool returned to his universe after his interview with Happy.

They mention in the movie that when a universe begins to die, the effect ripples backwards through time there. This can kind of cover the "why was Logan already dead in 2024" situation and why X-24 is older too. If space-time is unraveling from that point backwards it makes sense that there could be some weird time discrepancies.
i’ll take that as an explanation. hell they can use that to explain all the timeline inconsistencies throughout the whole franchise. it can be marvel’s “flashpoint”
I just assumed both Logans would meet up and handle it the same way the Logans in Age of Ultron handled it.

Anything is possible with Deadpool.
Short answer: the writers messed up
Deadpool knew about logan’s death at the beginning of deadpool 2 before the cable timemachine incident. This is why all the deadpools get pruned. All of them mess with reality and know too much about other universes. Maybe there’s a dream walking aspect to his healing factor
I really think they should keep making movies for the fox universe that lead up to secret wars
The reason Deadpool went to 2029 (or later cuz Wolverine was decomposed) is because Paradox just finished showing him the clip where he dies. So instead of going back to his current timeline and trying to figure out where Wolverine is, he went to where he was buried. He was naive to think that he would be able to regenerate, so when he found out he couldn't, he went and searched other timelines for a Wolverine variant. I feel like there's a loophole anyway and I don't think that future with Logan is the same as Deadpool because in the movie Logan technology was so advanced there were self driving cargo trucks by the hundreds, most mutants died or dying because of the poisoned sodas or whatever and no mutant born in decades. Plus Deadpools timeline is all wonky anyway because when he was in the X-Mansion for some reason it was young Charles Xavier, instead of older one when the x-men cameoed. I don't think we're supposed to take it so seriously lol but it's still fun
Yup and add the part that Beast from the Marvels post scene is in said universe
Finally someone said it, i never thought Marvel could leave this big plothole
To me it would make more sense that the entire timeline of Earth 10005 was reset by Deadpool and Wolverine. Thus the events of none of the prior movies happened in this new timeline which would allow Wolverine and X-23 to effectively replace the old versions because in this new timeline they were always this universe’s original versions. And from a MCU standpoint, this would allow Feige to bring back the old actors and effectively do whatever he wants with them because he doesn’t have to follow the continuity of the Fox films anymore because Deadpool reset the continuity.
My current head canon is that Logan is set in Deadpool's timeline, and that the Wolverine that Deadpool teams up with is from the X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
he's a variant of wolverine. You can see Deadpool finding a new Wolverine using Paradox's device after he found out Logan died in 2029
I think at the end of the movie that they rewrote universe 10005 from scratch. Cassandra had destroyed universe 10005 down to only 1% left and then after Deadpool & Wolverine save it, we see on B-15’s monitor that the universe is starting over. So my guess is that the universe does not have the original wolverine and instead has only the new wolverine from the movie. The same would go for X-23. This perfectly sets up universe 10005 to lead into an X-Men versus Avengers showdown!
Far as ik , wade went into the future to dig up Logan thinking we would be whole waiting to get digged up but no skeleton. But at the end far as ik yea there's 2 wolverines and x 23
Negative. There is no plot hole. The TVA determined that the timeline was regenerating, albeit in a way never seen before. All that matters is there is now a Logan Anchor saving that universe.
Don't let the movie fool you! It's been 8 years in the logan time line since he's been dead! X23 can't grow up within a 2 3 year period..she 19 now
Concept of anchor beings raises more questions and causes more problems than it solves or answers.
I think Logan in a differ universe
It is exactly and James Mangold himself confirmed that it was set in a different universe in an interview I think? I’m not 100% sure
That Logan is the anchor being of Deadpool's universe.
@@richard2461956 I thinks different Logan died but whatever the fox x men universe is hopefully dies now
I'm pretty sure most of the X-Men films are set in their own universes now, with every continuity error in each movie indicating it's a different universe.
@@cameronbaker97 exactly my point
This reminds me of a theory I heard: so the theory goes that like the end of Deadpool and Wolverine, that's on 2024 in 10005, so that wolverine might still be alive. However, why was the universe still dying if logan died IN THE FUTURE. This would mean at every point in time the universe is dying because of a future death. The theory also thinks that older laura was talking to the young mutants in the scene when Logan rejects the money from rictor that he said laura told him he could have.
The first wolverine is dead. How did people get so idiotic over this. He's dead they already covered this.
Logan is set in the future in 2029 and dead pool and wolverine is set in 2024, 6 years after deadpool 2 according to google.
@@zeusodinson1381What you say is true. Then, in 2024, on Earth 10005, there should be our wolverine and the wolverine from the other universe at the same time. So where is the other real wolverine?
@kursatgurrs I'm not sure but there are 2 wolverines on earth 10005 now and two x-23's. Whether it's a plot hole or not i dont know, they might mention it in future films or retcon the date this film took place. I think the premise of anchor beings is abit flawed anyway...... unless the anchor being is immortal every universe is slowly dying? Or am I wrong there ?
My theory is that Logan switched places with Logan so the whole time it was Logan.
But then who was Logan
It had to be Logan.
I did kind of make a joke about it but the claws are the key and the conversation with Casanova the Wolverine we saw taking care of Charles Xavier in Logan was the same one we saw link hands with Deadpool wearing the iconic costume and stop the time ripper he finds out that the Wolverine he is replacing isn’t dead yet after Deadpool and wants to spend the rest of his time with the people he lost in his reality and trades places with our Logan so he sacrifices himself twice. Our Logan is the alternative Logan even the dead skeleton.
My theory: I think there might now be 2-3 Wolverines & two X23's on Earth-10005. Let me try to explain:
"Deadpool & Wolverine" take place during 2024, while "Logan" takes place in 2029.
I assume the X23 we saw in "Logan" was 11 due to actress being the same age. Therefore, the X23 we saw in "Logan" would've been around in 2024 (albeit, younger at around 6 years old). The older X23 variant introduced in "Deadpool & Wolverine" now lives on Earth-10005 because we saw her at the group dinner at the end of the film. So I definitely think there might be two X23's on Earth-10005.
Now let my try to explain the 2-3 Wolverines on Earth-10005. The Wolverine we saw in "Logan" would still be around because "Deadpool & Wolverine" takes place in 2024, while "Logan" took place in 2029. The Wolverine variant introduced in "Deadpool & Wolverine" now lives on Earth-10005 because we saw him at the group dinner at the end of the film. As for the third Wolverine (or in this case; Wolverine clone), I assume X24 from "Logan" might also be on Earth-10005. "Logan" took place in 2024, while "Deadpool & Wolverine" took place in 2029 and X24 definitely old enough to have been around in 2024. So there's a possibility that there might be 3 Wolverines on Earth-10005.
I do have another wild theory that the X24 we saw in "Logan" might actually be the Wolverine variant that Deadpool brought to Earth-10005 but I don't exactly know how to explain it.
These are just things that I wanted to share that were on my mind.
Man he first went into the future which is two years after Logan's death. Then he started travelling to other universes. When he comes back with that version of Logan it was the 2030s. It's not that confusing.
yeah but its not the 2030s ? its present time ?
@@zeusodinson1381 the end of the movie was in the 2030s. It's because Vanessa is again shown to be single and Logan convinces Wade to talk to her.
@@kingdon7795 how's that make it 2030? they broke up sometime after deadpool 2. I googled it and deadpool and wolverine is set in 2024, 6 years after deadpool 2 took place

Deadpool did know about Wolverine's death though.
He even had a little figure of it in Deadpool 2 that spun and played music
Maybe because this new logan became the anchor being with deadpool earlier in the timeline, that's what caused the logan from logan to start losing his powers of regeneration. The universe didn't recognize him as the true logan?
No
He lost his regeneration from the serum that Dr. Rice put in corn syrup
In my hand cannon dead pools timeline is when the movie comes out not when it’s set
logan was also dead in deadpool 2 when deadpool had a toy of his death lol
Deadpool just assumed he would regenerate, he says that to Paradox in the movie before he is corrected

I think the easiest answer is that deadpool combines the in-universe timelines with the real world due to his fourth wall breaking. The movie Logan could've already happened despite it not being 2029 because it already happened in reality, in the same way that deadpool can make jokes about wolverine having an Australian accent and going through a divorce despite those applying to the real life actor and not the character. I just don't think it's possible to analyze these movies in such a logical way when they are so meta. Deadpool is simply so meta that he breaks the timeline, I think the only truly logical way to examine the timeline when it concerns deadpool is to take that meta factor into account
It's kinda like gag/ fourth wall break
A bigger question is how does Nicepool even exist?
Wade became Deadpool because he had stage 4 cancer and was about to die so he participated in Weapon X to cure himself. While he got a healing factor his body was extremely ravaged by the cancer continuing to grow.
Nicepool does not have a healing factor nor a ravaged face, so he doesn’t have cancer and thus would not undergo the Weapon X program to cure his nonexistent ailment, so that Wade has no reason to be a Deadpool of his universe and yet Nicepool exists
Anything's possible in a Multiverse.
@@cameronbaker97
It still has to make sense no matter what universe it happens in
@@Sjono I mean, given of what other kinds of Deadpool Variants were shown near the end of the movie, and how other universes were shown to be in previous MCU movies (like how Earth-838 was), Nicepool was the way he was because of how his own universe was.
What I think of all of this is that in Deadpool’s universe/timeline it rebooted the whole fox X-men timeline. Because remember at the end where B15 says that their universe is more stronger than it was before. So I think Deadpool And Wolverine just reboots the whole fox timeline in which Logan doesn’t happen. So in the future if they make more Deadpool movies they can bring back legacy X-men characters. That’s my take on it.
People forget that deadpool operates outside of the movie timeliness cause he breaks the 4th wall, so wolverine dies in 2029 but logan came out in 2017, so yes in 2024 there are 2 wolverines
If you're wondering how he eats and breathes
And other science facts,
Just repeat to yourself "It's just a show,

@@user-sx5fn8yo5s yes I have watched ALL three.. Deadpool is NOT in the same universe as Logan from Logan (2017).. The thing is that Deadpool doesn’t follow the timeline as he is supposed to. In Deadpool 1 he has a whole line saying “Mcavoy or Stewart? This timeline is so confusing.” And in Deadpool 2 he literally opens the movie talking about Logan, despite the fact that Deadpool 2 should take place in 70s-90s from the X-Men cameo we see in the film, however Deadpool 2 clearly doesn’t take place in that timeframe. It’s Deadpool, he doesn’t follow the rules, he knows that he’s a character within a story. He’s fully aware of stuff that doesn’t even make sense within his story.
Womp womp , didn't u see dp use the dead Wolverine skeleton 😂
But that's in 2029, Deadpool's timeline is apparently in 2024
So basically, Both Wolverine and Laura including Deadpool could save Logan from dying? Or maybe they allready tried that and ended up just as the other X-Men, being killed by Charles Xavier.
THIS WAS MY POINT AFTER THE FILM!!!!
You got Gambit wrong about being recruited and taken out of his timeline. Blade, Elektra and possibly Johnny Storm recruited by Paradox. Let’s think back at Gambit line shall we’ll Wave he said he didn’t know if he was born here (which is the void) also Elektra and Blade stating to save there universes Gambit replied about ones who could’ve been saved. Meaning he never had a universe. Post credit scene on the bottom of one of the screens shows he survived and still in the void. Paradox would’ve recruited Elektra and Blade possibly Johnny who found Gambit in the void.
Deadpool’s timeline is separate from the main fox timeline.
Different colosus, different juggernaut, different wade wilson
80s X-men in the 2000s

@@matthewricker5526 That's one of Deadpool's caracteristics, he can break the 4th wall. Somehow he watched all the movies, he knows Logan is gonna die but he doesn't know when and where. @@adrianshephardOP4 given that deadpool digs up his grave have to assume he knows the where... also logan has to of died before the events of deadpool and wolverine because erasing the timeline before the death of the anchor being makes no sense.
so safe to assume that the logan of deadpool's timeline died sometime before the events of deadpool 2 since he references his death at the beginning of that movie. at the end of the day it makes more sense that deadpool is seperate from the main fox x-men timeline, too many hoops and hand waves needed to make it fit...
Imagine in the timeline is that one wolverine led up to the movie wolverine and the other stays in earth 10005 because loki allow the branch timeline to keep growing
All right, let me just give you the answer now if you rewatch Logan, you’ll find out that we never found out who was hiding in the comic books for Logan and 23 to follow… It was X 23 and this wolverine trying to save them
Honestly, I just kind of accept that canon and continuity fall to the side whenever Deadpool is involved
Question : how logan remembers about his mission of Japan in world war 2 because he lost his memory in x men origins
This video should be called "Why I'm wrong and hope you will be too"
Nope, he's right
Well the whole anchor being doesn’t make sense anyways. Why would one living being on a random planet from the entire universe determine the fate of their universe after they die? Doesn’t make any sense
I feel like that’s meant to be a joke towards Tony Stark dying in Endgame, which the MCU didn’t recover from and has been in a decline since that occurred.
Dogpool is obviously the new anchor being
How do we see the young X-men in Deadpool 2 but it’s only a few years away from Logan?
In Logan the female voice whom they contact in order to cross the border from USA to Canada could've been an older version of X-23/Laura!
If passing on being an anchor being was possible then it wouldn’t be a big deal if one dies
If Deadpool is from the same universe as the universe from the movie Logan ... and Deadpool and Wolverine is 2024 and Logan is 2029 .... weren't most of the mutants all dead by 2029?? And, if so, why would Marvel want to put all their *Deadpool eggs* in a universe where all the mutants are dead??

What if the anchor being was discovered and sent to the void.... What if the reason X23 was sent to the void cause it was discovered the anchor was passed to her, by a dying Logan. Why does he keep getting louder as he speaks it scared the crap outa me at some points.
So is there 2 x23 now one in year 2029 and future 2099

either way the movie was to poke fun at the mcu and disney... not to be so serious about the (multiverse)
ok you guys apparently dont get it the xmen timeline is not in the same year as the mcu its technically the future. there are no two versions of anyone because those who returned like x23 is the same girl from that timeline. meaning theres only one there. smh
I took it to mean that Deadpool just time traveled to 2029 to go Logan’s grave but the rest of the movie takes place in 2024
Don't think so. I don't think Logan is canon to the reg X-universe. Think about it, if it was than the stuff in the food is already doing it's work to end mutants and very soon now Charles Xavier is going to kill the X-men. I don't think so. How could Wade have even time traveled to 2030 to dig him up anyway.
Logan is an elseworld story set in 2029.
