Chorus:
Like a bat out of hell
I'll be gone when the morning comes
Oh, when the night is over
Like a bat out of hell
I'll be gone gone gone
Like a bat out of hell
I'll be gone when the morning comes
But when the day is done and the sun goes down
And the moonlight's shining through
Then like a sinner before the gates of Heaven
I'll come crawling on back to you

Well it is now 2024 . Who still rocks with ML and Bat Out Of Hell ??
And Meatloaf with Ted.
I'm 81 and still love him !
Always ❤
I do, By Odin.
Love his music. RIP IDOL
8 minutes. More like a show than a song. People still enjoy these epic songs.
he was more like a theatrical singer. he always acted his music out that's why he is the greatest of all time
Not Spotify compliant anymore. 😣
I know I do and I was born in 77 when it came out these younger kids today don't know what good music is
It's like Broadway. I wish Jim Steinman had been able to write for a few Disney animated films. Would have been spectacular. "Heaven Can Wait" would be a show stopping tear-jerker song in such a film.
I have take a look at the rockaplast show he did. Like you sayd the theatrical side take a big part of the show. This guy is a real artist!!!
Meatloaf like Freddie Mercury are legends and will forever be remembered
imagine them together?
One of the greatest rock tracks of history. That's saying something.
That's truth saying 😊
Couldnt agree more!!
It is one of the songs that helps me get through my shifts at work
Jim Steinman wrote every one of the songs on this album. Credit due.
he wasnt just a great musician he was a second to none performer. He did every show like it was the last one anyone would ever see. Rest easy Sir
He sure was my friend...
Well said!
Yes, maybe... I saw a show of him in 2012. It was absolute shite.
RIP 💙🙏 They don’t make em like you anymore!
sadly, sadly , sadly so true.
I wondered if I'd see comments on here after the news today!
like you would no you look 17 haha
That’s why I’m here! RIP , rock on 🤘🏻
Good night sweet prince
Bat Out of Hell is one of the most amazing albums of all time.
Agree👍
and one of the best selling albums ever
Ordered a new CD on eBay today. 03/07/2024!
2024 and meatloaf masterpieces still hit better than today's music what a legend 😊
RIP to one of the greatest musicians of all time this one hurt me. “Like a Bat out of Hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes” …he wasn’t lying, rest easy OG. I will play this song at max volume until the Rock Gods themselves come down and stop me. Thank you MR. loaf “we gotta make the most out of our one night together” I’d like to think we did. Peace king
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Hurt me too!
Soundtrack of my youth 😭. Adieu Sir
Rest in Peace.
You perfectly put into words my hearts feelings this morning!
RIP and long live Meat Loaf (September 27, 1947 - January 20, 2022), aged 74

There's not a dry eye from me. RIP Meat Loaf.
I wish it was 1977 again and this song was tearing up the FM radio in my truck. You are missed Meat.
I had it on 8 track.
had this on vinyl when you could get a lid for $20 what a time I wore that thing out. it was the album with the cover pressed in tu the vinyl wish I still had it. no turn table but I would frame it and hang it on the wall. lost it in a flood.

In Australia, the "Bat out of Hell" album went platinum...in fact, it went platinum 25 times. It is the best-selling album Downunder...ever...And it still holds the top spot. RIP my friend...rock em to death up there...
Yes you're correct. I'm listening to this great performer now.
So sorry to hear about the death of Meatloaf. He was a truly gifted actor and singer.
very kind words
He’s breaking out of his body and flying away, never forgotten. His memory lives on through his music and through us
To right
Every performance by Meatloaf was larger than life. It was beyond a rock opera or a rock musical. It was a rock orchestra.
i read once that he collapsed after every performance and the other perfomers just walked over him
Gutted, terrible news. Saw Meat back in 1983 at the Glasgow Apollo. Came on stage wearing a kilt. What a performance, still talk about it to this day. You'll never be forgotten. R.I.P. big man.
How incredible that must've been. He was a true legend.
I wish I had the chance too see him live . Never take life for granted. I kept putting it off. Now look smh he was such a great person singer husband and father
(: 😢❤
Thank you for everything. RIP
He said don’t worry about it. He said you’re welcome Dee Nimmin.
Sad sad news. RIP big fella. Thanks for the music and the good memories it brings
🤘
I always loved to listen to the songs with my father
It was my husband's funeral today and we walked out to this song as it was his favourite. Meatloaf was my hubby's no 1 favourite artist, so ironic they passed away in the same year. Sleep well Mal, I hope you manage to see your idol again but in heaven this time.
Rip mal! Got a feeling your having a blast with our Meatloaf! Sending my condolences to the family from Scotland. X
aw so sorry for your loss, what a great song to celebrate your husband ❤️. Blessings
Stay strong! I believe Mal was a great person!
I’m sorry for your loss. This is my funeral song too, but I want it as the coffin moves outta sight to be cremated!! xx
I feel for you I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm sure you'll see your husband again.. 🌹
I had this played at the walk out song at my Husbands funeral we're mega fans it was awesome. I stayed till the very last note rang out. A few weeks later Meatloaf himself passed away and I know they'll be rocking the heaven's 😁😇

God bless you and your family. I'm sure they are rockin together
Granny had the same, mate. We were all mental over meatloaf, best singer we’ve heard.
RIP my brother 😔 I am a younger generation but LIKE MEAT LOAF's Music and he will be missed 😔
One of the finest musician and artist in the history. Rest in Peace 😔
I will be playing this at my husband's funeral next week. He requested it himself and I can't think of a better choice.
🙏
I bet it was epic af!!!
At the end of it all the best we can hope for is that we are an inspiration in the lives of others in a blessing in their memories when our time is done. May your husband always be your blessing.
I want this played at my funeral.
@@marcuso4731 it was brilliant!
Greatest rock vocalist of all time. That's right, I said it. His tracks are not just songs; they're epics and operas.
Him and Dio.
He was amazing, I wish I could have met him
i dunno man, Freddie Mercury...
Him, Dio, Cornell and Osbourne.
Ur nuts. He looks like a combination of John candy and John gotti..
Surely this man was the Pavarotti of rock opera? So gloriously over the top but honest and authentic. Heroic music. RIP Meat Loaf and thanks for the memories.
Sounds like rip off queen

@uselesszombie meat loaf sounds nothing like queen lol 😆
One of the select few that's for sure.
@@SirMrZombieyou are tone deaf then
This is definitely his swan song, a tribute to one of the great voices of rock and roll.
R.I.P Meatloaf.
this wasn't his last song though
There is a Bat Out Of Hell III out there, Jim Steinman’s songs that he never released, and would never until he and Meatloaf made up.
This is more like the Magnum Opus.
Bat Out Of Hell one of the best songs ever
What a vocal beast.! I don't feel like he got the recognition he deserved when he died.
i agree he was beyond an artist, the only one I think who could have given him a run for the money would be Freddy Mercury, can you image a duet
Bat Out Of Hell is still the highest selling album in Australia today. 1,750,000 copies sold. 25 x Platinum. And still #4 highest selling album worldwide. A true legend.
I'm in Australia and my dad had this album. Basically wore the CD out it was played so much in the car growing up. Such good songs on the bat out of hell album like paradise by the dashboard light and for crying out loud etc

It got a rock musical theatre show which is incredible!
20 years ago I was 8 years old. I remember my dad blasting these sort of songs in the car with the windows down loving life and I would be embarrassed and have a red face. Mr. Loaf, we have enjoyed your music for decades. RIP
Legend. Songwriters: Bow down on this.
Loved by his fans, adored by other musicians, hated by critics. Well you know what? Two out of Three Ain't bad!
The most important two as well.
Critics hated him? WTF man…
Only reason this man was not the biggest name in rock was because he was a big man and he didn’t kiss ass but he toured his ass off for bat out of hell at a huge personal cost to his own well being
It never gets old. Been listening since I was 17 and I'm almost 61.
I started listening since i was 15, i'm still 15.

RIGHT, Lilly.
@@lilly5157 yes, i know what those bands are, and i listen to more than just this song from Meat Loaf
I started when I was 13 and now I am 14
Never watched this performance before and I'm blown away by the production. His singing, the back up singers, the fantastic piano, the insane guitar work, the song and the intensity of the whole thing. One of the greats!
I remember seeing it on the old grey whistle test back in the day 😏
And they go on for eight minutes. What a band :)
Rory Dodd brings it. Jim Steinman was a maestro
The stacks of cocaine consumed probably helped that "intensity" I would imagine 😆
Such a brilliant entertainer, I miss this level of passion.
Like a bat out of hell, you were gone when the morning came. Rip meat. One of the greatest singers to have lived.
Hall of fame

So sorry to hear of your sad loss
You have to give kudos to Jim Steinman for writing most of the music for Meatloaf, this is one of the greatest!
They were a great team!
Very seldom does a great writer get lucky enough to have a singer of this caliber to deliver his works
Jim Steinman didn't write songs. He wrote anthems.
Magical what they created.
Jim wrote the opening number in Streets of Fire...Nowhere Fast
I was a more quiet guy in my youth, and this was a neutral song to me.
Now, I use now a walking cane, because of my broken ankle. I have an E-Bike as a transport. I can pedal for 2 hours in adverse weather on good days. Using music as a painkiller, 3rd motor and bell.
This song has become one of the most energetic and powerful songs to help me pedal.

R.I.P Meat Loaf. I remember when I was still a child around the turn of the millennium me and my friend used to walk the roads at night, out in the wilderness where we lived. We would lay down on the middle of the road in pitch black, looking up at the stars and singing the entirety of "Bat out of Hell" word for word at top of our voice. It was safe as there were hardly ever any cars drove there and even if there were you could see the lights coming from miles away. Nothing around just fields and not a sound but us singing Meat Loaf. It's one of those good childhood memories of mine. I always remember. I wish I could go back to those carefree days of youth. Better times when kids still enjoyed playing outdoors before the technology really took over.. no smartphones so if you wanted to listen to Bat out of Hell when you were out you had to sing it yourself.
