    Have the same F-250 truck the bradded wire is ground shield that in this case you don't connect. The only one you connect is the Purple is positive and the White is negative ground. Wish you went a little slower when sliced the RCA to the harness to we can see how that's done. Thanks great Video man!!!

    Yes. All the math and hardware hardwire to software and wires. Numbers and figures had added up but many had been confused light years ago. 😐

    Do you have specs about the 2011 Subaru Outback with this same issue? I'm purchasing a Kenwood Excellon with the Maestro Data link to connect it to the car's computer. THe camera seems to be separate based on this video. The work doesn't seem to be super hard. Our local car stereo place said that the picture would be REALLY bad (like 360p on youtube bad) BUT, the functionality would be nice. Any thoughts or suggestions.

    So I have a question about my 2008 toyota sequoia. I want to install a factory camera to a aftermarket stereo. I noticed one day when looking at where the camera would be placed in the rear I saw that it already is prewired in the event if I wanted to install a camera later on. The wire runs through the headliner towards the rear view mirror. I guess what I want to know is from the pre existing wiring should I only require to solder on a RCA male connection onto the pre exisitng rca wires? or do I also need to do something with a reverse wire? If i need to do something with the reverse wire what should it connect to or how would I go about integrating towards the camera working. I also noted in your video that you used a 12 volt converter to 6 volt would I need that? Please Reply...Thanks

    What about an aftermarket touch screen mirror. I bought a mirror that is a dash cam and has a reverse camera function also. I want to use my existing backup camera that is fed to the old stock mirror. 2012 Silverado 2500hd. The new mirror input is a 3.5 mm jack plug with 4 wires. I can test which wire is what. TOGUARD Backup Camera 10" amazon.

If I play with the rca connecting and disconnecting I get like distortion but no clear image. Still works on my mirror but not unit.

    I tapped into the wires down by the parking brake 2011 f150 reverse camera in mirror (white/green center positive) (brown/purple shield negative) ... What im noticing is on the pioneer avh-2330nex is a blurry image ... Any insight as to why this is happening ... To thin video cable or just a low resolution camera ? Maybe combination of both ... Have you had this issue ... I choose the foot location due to less invasive and shorter wire run ...

    • @markh.3665
      @markh.3665 3 роки тому +1

      Could be because you split the line. 75 ohm 1v peak to peak is analog composite video. May need better cable or a distribution amplifier to boost/split the signal and maintain 1vP-P.. broadcast TV engineer..🤔🤷‍♂️

    • @cybolynx
      @cybolynx 3 роки тому

      That is most likely the case as when i unplugged the rear view mirror signal from back of mirror it cleared up on the radio significantly ... Adding a booster / splitter is not an option .. due to not caring enough about it ... Its tolerable and clear enough ... Thx for input tho ...

    Is it normal to lose resolution in the radio camera?

    • @FiveStarCarStereoInc
      @FiveStarCarStereoInc  5 років тому

      When you move a mirror camera to a radio yes. The camera is not made to display on the bigger screen.

    • @markh.3665
      @markh.3665 3 роки тому

      Even factory cameras are low SD resolution. When going to a tiny display in the mirror, they could get away with really low quality camera.. so likely barely 720x480 SD resolution...
