I've been vegan for 5.5 years. My iron levels are amazing, a bowl of oatmeal a day gives me almost all of my iron in a day. Eat plants everyone, they do your body amazing things!

I have a close friend who was vegan and died at 50. Veganism also destroys your reproduction. The new world order are promoting this lifestyle to depopulate the earth (which is also a lie that the earth is overpopulated). Abigail, get out of that mindset and save yourself seriously.

The pain and suffering caused to helpless abused animals who are only suffering because some people on this planet can't find it in their hearts to stop demanding and paying for the needless exploitation of animals! If people would stop paying for these evil practices, then there would not be any angry vegans!! Voila!! Evil is evil....how can anyone support evil and be a decent person...no matter what it is??? Hi Rachel, Don't know how I landed here, but so glad I have! My 4yr old grandson suffers from dangerously low iron levels, and after specialists prescribed the awful "gritty" iron replacement liquid for him (which doesn't agree with him, bless him) I sourced "Spa Water", which is so high in natural iron content, and like you so rightly say, without vitamin C taken at the same time, the body won't fully absorb the iron. We use pineapple juice, as it's also 10 times better for sore throats than conventional cough medicines, and its got a higher Vit C content than oranges (however, your bell peppers are the Vitamin C God, ha ha) I'm definitely going to give this a go, so him and my daughter can have it after school, on these dark and cold English teatimes! Tried the black bean sweet potato dish. It's very filling. Loved it with lots of lemon juice. I don't have a sweet tooth so I would go heavy on the black beans and scale back on the sweet potatoes next time. Thank you Rachel!

Desserts do not contain meat so you should easily find recipes anywhere, you don’t have to look only on a vegan channel. Just substitute the egg in any dessert recipe to chickpea powder mixed with a little water. Boom.
Needed a quick dinner and came to your channel and searched ‘black bean’. My search returned this episode, among others. So easy and soooo delicious!! I used four fresh tomatoes instead of canned/stewed because I didn’t have any. I eliminated the red peppers because I didn’t have those either. My kids (10, 12 and 16) loved it asking for seconds and my hubby did too! Strangely, I did have all the spices needed. So glad for that because that really set off all the flavors! Thank you, Rachel!

This is super helpful! I had severe anemia late last year and had to have a blood transfusion 😬 I’m much better now and I take iron pills. I’m excited to try these recipes!

Sea vegetables are my go to, 1/4 to 1/2 tsp bladderwrack & kelp in my smoothies & porridge. Sea moss, is hella vitamin rich, I include it in everything. Cacao paste lovvvve it. Spirulina 1/2 tsp daily & chlorophyll. I find these add ins to be the easiest way to get my iron in. I usually make a chocolate porridge, w/ a homemade cacao & mushroom blend, lots of cacao paste, date paste, & maple to cover the strong flavors of spirulina & bladderwrack, and of course lots of love! Always stir in some love when I cook, to up the vibration :) It’s amazing, actually having some right now.

The other vitamin that iron needs is vitamin B12. Vitamin C is also destroyed when heated (cooked). Best to use in raw form

Also, good on you for getting your hands on the fresh seaweed. My brain immediately cues in the smell of rotting seaweed in the sun on any beach I have been to haha
