When I was 14, my grandfather booked a rail holiday to Jenbach, from Doncaster, UK. We stayed at the Jenbach Hotel which was opposite this railway station. My grandfather worked for the British Railways as a planner, and so my own enthusiasm for trains grew from that. I spent some hours on Jenbach station observing the trains. Imagine my complete and overwhelming pleasant surprise and warm feelings when I saw this train pull into Jenbach. I recall the place as being beautiful, nestled between the mountains, with quaint buildings, clean streets and the most wonderful trip abroad I have ever had. This film brought back amazing memories from 50 years ago, as that was the one and only time I visited Jenbach. Thank you so much.
@SoundscapeAtmos You are very welcome. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I am happy that the video brought back those amazing memories.

@@RailRelaxation Di niente, figurati.
Phantastic! A wonderful and fine fast run through the Lower Inn Valley (Unterinntal) from the capital of Tirol via Wörgl to Kufstein (the "Pearl of Tirol"), and than via Rosenheim to the capital of Bavaria. Beautiful weather and a fine landscape, excellent video-quality. Exact and helpful descriptions. Please go on with many further cab rides (Führerstandsmitfahrten) on Austrian railway-lines (e.g. Arlberg-line, Karwendel-line, Außerfern-line, Gisela-line, Semmering-line, Salzkammergut-line and so on)!
@montgomeryscott1656 Many thanks to you for helping me with the corrections, descriptions and lots of information about the Austrian railway lines. For sure I will go back to Austria and film more. The lines I have seen so far are all beautiful and very interesting. And the landscapes are just great! Actually, it is very difficult to define which line and which country is more beautiful. Every one of them has something different and special to offer to our eyes. There are so many beautiful places on our planet. And travelling with railways, the perspective is so different. Many lines run through the places that are not accessible with a car. Thank you again.
You are welcome!
Thanks nice and great video

@michaelfischer545 Hallo Michael!

Great video! It can be nice taking a trip by train and seeing the landscape that you would miss by flying. I was in Munich last year and took the train from Hamburg! It looks like it can be a little confusing at first to navigate all the different tracks at the big stations
@Foj1 True. Lots of lines and tracks. It can be confusing at first.

You have excelled again. The professionalism of your videography always amazes me. It's great that both AT and DE have 15 kV, 16.7 Hz AC power supply, thereby allowing a smooth journey for the locomotive without having to jiggle around with pantographs.

Sehr Toll. Ein Hinweis: 53:50 es ist kein A8. Es ist Kirchdorferstr. in Kirchdorf. Autobahn A8 ist erst 55:45 Minuten im Spiel.
@koconr1 Danke.
The locomotive sounds like a 1216, not like a 1116. 😉
@pierluiginistri8042 Thank you for your observations.
This line, like the Giselabahn, is part of the Austrian railway system and connects to the Brenner Line which arrives from Verona. One of the most important and strategic lines in the Alps and Europe. From the Inn Valley, arriving in Kufstein, from the Terfuren Tunnel passing through Jenbach and Worgl, until reaching Rosenheim and then Munich. The Tunnel designated for high speed is certainly productive in economic terms for goods, but less scenic for the traveler who sees nothing. Nice line though! When I was in Erlangen a few years ago (a city near Nuremberg, important for Siemens locomotive factories) I saw many of these factory new Tauruses. And I still see them in Italy hauling freight trains, even though multi-voltage Vectrons now dominate the freight train market. Munich station is now being redeveloped and will be for the next 2-3 years. I believe the old Grundig sign and the roof will be replaced. What a parade of ICE and Taurus locomotives. A German station in a large city thrills train enthusiasts with the multitude of DB locomotives and carriages. Munchen HBF then has almost 23 platforms which make it, together with Frankfurt HBF and Leipzig HBF, one of the large stations in Germany.
@wladislaw79 I can see that you are truly enjoying those journeys one after another . I am so glad to see that. And in the meanwhile, we are all learning and observing some new info and details.

1:35:12 Both are ÖBB 1116. The Camera is sitting inside a 1216 though. You can differentiate between 1016/1116 and 1216 by the Headlights. 1216 has the third one above the cab. 10 and 1116 under the cab. (+ the number is very visible xd)
@protogen_1414 Thank you.
Grazie.
Thank you for the video. As a railway lover from the Munich area, it will be useful for me to check what some locals look like for recording / photographing and what are the actual speeds of trains in these places. PS I saw 2-3 mistakes in the descriptions of places or warehouses, but it happens to everyone, it's not a problem.
@Matz32 Glad it was helpful! And thank you for the feedback. Wishing you a nice Monday!
The map shows what a roundabout route it is, even with the great long tunnel not long after the start
@AndreiTupolev True.
I'm sure the route via Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen is shorter, but the steep and winding mountain route is probably quite slower. Trains from Vienna to Innsbruck used to take the Gisela Bahn that branches off at Wörgl but that goes through winding Alpine valleys and steep mountain passes. Express trains now go via Germany from Salzburg through flatter land north of the Alps.
Distinguished and revered locomotive driver, the last time I rode it, between Innsbruck and Worgl we traveled on the left: when was the direction of travel reversed? Thank you very much

@vladis33 Thank you. I don't know about the simulator.
Yes. It's from RSSLO Inntalbahn
Good journey well shot. The high speed line at the start runs mostly underground. As the flat lands are mostly dry glacial lakes with hard rock 'islands', was the tunnels hard or easy to build? Was expecting a few more freights on what is the main north/south Baltic/Italy route. Case of wrong time wrong day? but three was good and a number of the yards where full of wagons.
@briancooper562 Thank you. I normally film during the weekend, when there is not so much traffic.
1:13:15 That's an EMU, not a DMU and also not a DB Br 628, the DB Br 628 (DMU) was standing at the beginning of the platform.
What is shown at the timestamp is a DB Br 623 (EMU) (which you did correctly point out later in 1:13:23)

O yes. I was born here too. And I live between Rosenheim and Chiemsee.
I've also often driven the route to Munich from Rosenheim.
_So!
So! And now I won't keep you any longer and I'll get back into the train compartment, because it's 11:45 am on the station clock and the train is already waiting to depart.

The bridge in front of us -- 1:00:10 -- is called: "Bridge Mountain", I used to go to school over the bridge when I was a kid. I remember once I was standing on the bridge and a steam train came along with clouds of black smoke. Suddenly I was completely enveloped in black smoke, because the chimney of the steam train blew the smoke straight into my face🤣
