@jikkou0515 thank you very much for your compliments. I am doing my best to get nice images of high quality. I have more very interesting European lines to show. I hope you'll enjoy watching them too.
I have huge admiration for the work of the surveyors and engineers who planned and built lines such as these in the mountains of Europe more than a century ago. Yes, and even for the politicians who backed them! It seems that every metre of the journey brings another piece of major civil engineering and yet the whole enterprise fits into the landscape almost seamlessly. Thank you so much for this and your many other beautifully produced videos of the glories of the European landscape by train. I look forward to enjoying lots more in the future. Unfortunately, the years and a degree of ill health have restricted my ability to travel as I used to (not to mention the stupidity of the unimaginative and small-minded United Kingdom government!), but your, and other video producers, work bring back happy memories of past travels and also give an opportunity to visit many places that I never quite got to. Enormous thanks once again.
@EuroScot2023 Thank you very much for your kind comment. Comments like yours give me satisfaction, joy, and energy to produce more videos so that I can share all those beautiful places with viewers all over the world. I am very happy that you enjoy watching them and that they bring back beautiful memories. Greetings to the UK.
There is only one word possible: PHANTASTIC! Railway-line, landscape, weather, mountains, Austria and Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) - wonderful. This is without any doubt one of the most impressioning, beautiful and bold railway-lines in the whole world. The gradient between Hötting and Leithen is up to 3,6 %. - We wait for the continuation from Scharnitz via Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Ehrwald, Reutte in Tirol, Vils and Pfronten-Steinach and also from Garmisch-P. to Munich!
A great video. We travel to Seefeld from England every year and when we fly into Innsbruck we get a bus from the airport to Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof so that we can travel this route. This year, however we will be flying into Munich so we can take the train via Garmish. We just can’t get enough of this route.
A perfect ride in the best weather that we can enjoy here. Memories come back from many trips between Innsbruck and Mittenwald over the past decades. A great pleasure to be able to ride along. A big thank you for that. I hope the journey continues towards Munich. Greetings from South Westphalia, Germany.

what a great idea and superb 4K quality , thank you! brings back memories , my last visit in this part of Europe was ~ 20 years ago. Warm regards from Western Australia , cheers , jack
Thank you very much for this video. I grew up close to the station "Allerheiligenhöfe" and have taken this route more than a hundred times. Now living overseas since some years, it is nice to be able to ride this route in 4K online. In my opinion this route should rank among the Top10 most scenic routes worldwide. There are very good opportunities on this route to take a hike between the stations. If you are a skilled hiker, get off at "Hochzirl" and take the hiking path down to the "Schlossbachklamm" gorge. From there you have a great view onto the railwaybridge above. You can then continue hiking uphill to "Leithen" and then further to "Seefeld" passing by moorlands, woods, a lake and a golf course.
@Tiroleanstriker Thank you for all this information. Actually I love to hike. At the moment I don't have a lot of time left for this, but, maybe one day I will make the hike that you suggested. Thanks.
Thank you for the cab-ride on this terrific mountain rail track. You had fantastic weather on this trip. I hope, you will also record the continuation of this track via Garmisch and Reutte.
After a long time I finally managed to see this short but beautiful line that from Innsruck, in the Inn valley connects Scharnitz, still in Austrian territory, but in the Isar valley, which then arrives in Munich and will be like the Inn, a tributary of the Danube. I admire the skill of the engineers who established the slope and curves of the line at the time, overlooking the Karwendel mountains. Bombardier's Talent trains, together with OBB's CityJets, form the main backbone of the Austrian railways. They are silent, fast and rounded to reduce friction. Greetings!!!!!!
The white mountains of limestone from a distance looks like snow cover. But as you get closer it is limestone powder eroded during the winters. The gradients on the railway are no problem at all for these electric units.
