I never knew people could be so calculated and cold to each other let alone someone I thought was my best friend and soulmate. I thought we would grow old together. There is a legal case happening keeping me dwelling on it at the moment. Before she broke up with me she kept cheating on nights out then coming home and bragging about it whilst I cried, then making out i wasnt a man because i cried. She took our kids on a family day out with the guy she last bragged about before even hinting we were over, and now she uses my parents house as somewhere to dump the kids whilst she has him over in our house. Honestly its even worse than that but it would be too much to write and read here. I still love her and would still try again against all my family and friends advice but she is so headstrong I doubt she would ever be the kind to change her mind. I would suggest trying this, the next time you two disagree, let her speak first. Acknowledge what she says without fighting back and validate her feelings. Then give it about 30 mins. In a nonconfrontational way ask her if you can discuss something that is on your mind, do not pose your grievances in the form of an attack on her or aggressive line of questions. I have found it works better if you do the following: 1) project on an external source.she she let her guard down. (ex she is busy with work) 2.) next let her know you understand she means no harm and you still care about her (shifting the blame) 3) build a trust contract (this is important, you want to keep lines of communication open so that the trust is strong between you) 4) remain calm and in control. This takes a lot of practice. If she fires back with the old, "you did this so I did that tactic". Acknowledge her feelings and immediately after redirect the conversation back to the topic at hand. Take one issue at a time. Do not overlap them. That is the issue most couples have when attempting to communication. I use the method in work and personal relationship and it has been successful for me. Maybe it helps you!
