Transmissions - Synth Improvisation by skrie (Novation Peak and Yamaha CP4)

I love it when I reach a moment of Zen when I'm also recording.
And I'm really happy with the soundscape and lines played in this improvisation.
I had this nice patch setup and I just threw my little camera on my desk to quickly capture the scene. So often I play something nice and I wished I had recorded it. But often the act of setting up a camera and lighting really kills the whole improvisation spirit.
I'm displaying the Polyphonic aftertouch capabilities of the Novation Peak.
Even though I don't have a poly-at keyboard. I'm using a Reaper script to assign poly-at to the last played note where pressure was applied.
The result is pretty satisfying. This allows me to keep the Peak "droning" and still have the melody shine through. I'm also controlling the Peak with the middle of the Yamaha CP4 through midi (with a keyboard split). This makes a great setup for improvisation without a sequencer or arpeggiator.
