I watched another video before this one, and I didn't like the look and didn't understand why it didn't look how I wanted it to. Then I found yours, and it's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for doing this version that is so much nicer! 😃
Thank you, my son had a blanket given to him as a preemie in the n.i.c.u With this stitch, I've been waiting 13 years to find how to do it..m you're a very clear teacher thank you so much, now I hope to make some basket stitch blankets for charity to pass on to babies as well. Thank you so much for posting. Blessings to you! 💐🐇🌈
Pardon me for butting in, but, make sure you check with the hospitals before you purchase your yarn. Our parish makes things for preemies, NICU, and stillborns...the NICU & preemies require specific yarn types. The hospital should have a printout for you. Thank you for sharing your time & talent on such a worthy cause.
@@beverlyscott3652 you just chain a multiple of 8 stiches, as wide as you want your blanket, then add 7 stitches. ❤ It depends how think your yarn is, and whether you want to add a border.
Thank you so much for this video. I had no idea we should have created a double crochet in the very end stitch. Is there a reason for this? I would assume it’s to finalize the ends. I made a hat and scarf and the design is absolutely beautiful.
Depends on what you are after. If you would like thick and snuggly blanket then you can go for any soft chunky yarn or Himalayan dolphin baby yarn. Or If you wanted a soft but thin blanket then standard baby soft double knit yarn would be fine. Hope this helps.

Thankyou
Yes double crochet in the end of each row gives your project a neater edge.
