Thank you so much for creating this video. I created a HUGE and HEAVY blanket using two huge 547 yard/500m (4.4lb/2kg total weight) rounds of Lion Brand Cover Story Super Bulky (6) Yarn. This pattern took a somewhat casually-textured yarn and raised it to the next level of sophistication. If I could post an image, I would, because I am rather proud of the outcome, thanks to your instruction!
This was a fantastic tutorial! You didn't assume we knew how to do the edges. And you really slow down and showed exactly what to do. So many crochet teachers don't do those things and I have a hard time following.
I have some left over chenille yarn that I wanted to use but didn't know exactly what to do with it as it was difficult for me to work. This is PERFECT. I'm really excited to get started. Thank you for your informative and easy to understand and follow tutorial.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never would have given this pattern a go - it looks too complicated. But, you have made it doable for me. I’m making a baby blanket for my grandson and am so excited to finish it up. ❤❤❤
Your tutorial is FANTASTIC. I really appreciated your pace, camera angle, easy manner and clear instructions. I’m on my way to crocheting a beautiful chunky mustard chenille winter blanket for myself. THANKS AGAIN!!!!
I love your tutorials. You have helped me learn so much so quickly. For me, you make the videos just right with just enough repetition to get me comfortable to be independent after a few trials. Thank you so much for your channel.
I really appreciate your tutorials. You are very clear when you speak. thank you also for explaining what a back post stitches as opposed to a front postage so clearly!
I am always happy to see your postings. You are very talented yarn construction designer. I enjoy your videos and always look forward to your next posting.
I’m amazed with this stitch, I will definitely be using this stitch for a baby blanket for my new granddaughter, which is due on my daughter’s birthday April 19th ❤️🤗❤️🤗 Thank you for sharing this beautiful stitch with our crochet community
Thankyou, this was so easy to follow, you explain & show step by step in simple terms which I appreciated. As I was using a Bernat Stripes yarn, your coloured yarn was perfect as it showed me what to expect mine to look like. Very happy with the results.
Perfect! Thank you. I tried a different pattern multiple times and it never turned out and didnt feel right and i found this and I got it on first try and it looks beautiful! Thank you!! I used loops and thread bulky 6 rose design and it looks like a garden trellis. ❤
Yes indeed, this color is a bit distracting.. And although you explained nice the colors are not good for my sight.Thank you for teaching us and sharing your knowledge. Blessings yo you
Your videos are very simple and easy to follow! ❤ I'm self taught, but relearning crocheting from the ground up so I can follow patterns and make better stuff for my family.
Thank you so much! I wanted to do exactly this - I did one blanket with double trebles but I prefer to make trebles.I have some lovely yarn I want to use. Best finish up my other project!
Thank you, I’ve only tried V stitch before, as you said chenille is notoriously tricky to crochet with. Now I can dig out some yarn I’ve had for a few years and try out this pretty textured stitch. 🧶🌟
Great tutorial thank you I was wondering could you give me a rough idea how many chains for a baby blanket as I am a beginner I would really love to try this Thank you so much 💓
This technique is my go to - ua-cam.com/video/lEBbs8R0zdU/v-deo.htmlsi=0jRZvN63UFlKwpsa It can be used to join new yarn mid row but also at the end of a row too ☺️
Hi! Love the tutorial, it’s the first project that is actually going right for me. I want to add a boarder around my blanket but I’m not sure what stitch to use. Does anyone have recommendations that would look good with this stitch?
Was looking for an easy but more elevated pattern for some baby blanket yarn and this is perfect! Not making a baby blanket, just like how soft it is 😂
Hi thank so much for this tutorial Could you please advise me on how many chains I would do for a baby blanket as I am a beginner and would love to try this Many thanks ❤️
Hi Geraldine! I usually make my baby blankets 80cm wide, so I would just chain until I reach that length. It’s hard to give an exact amount of chains as it depends on what yarn you use, hook size and tension. 🥰
Love this, and I’ve used this video time and again while crocheting a baby blanket for a friend, I just have one question. Do I have to do anything specific to tying the end? I’m at the end of my last row and I’m not sure how to tie it
Excellent instruction! Thank you so much for this info., but you didn't mention how to finish this piece. Is there a "break-down" row for the final edge like there was a "set-up" row at the beginning? Or do we just tie off after the last stitch of our 4-row pattern repeat?
Very good video!!! I am just confused when to start front post and back post when starting a new row. Are odd rows starts with back post and even rows start front post?
I really like this pattern and I have some blanket yarn that I’ve been holding on to until I had a pattern. I think this is it. Also wondering if I could do this in a 4 weight yarn? Because I have a lot of self striping yarn. Maybe increasing from 2 DC to 3DC? What do ya think? Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️.
Hi I love your channel and have made several blankets/ throws out of the stitch you used to make the foot warmer for the bottom of your daughters bed . I used a bulky 6 yarn and they are lovely 🥰 I want to try this basket weave. Will you mind giving me you opinion on the hook size I’m in the USA. I usually you a 10mm with the bulky 6 yarn. Is a 10 mm too big for the basket weave pattern? Thank You in advance
Hello Rebecca. My name is Cathie, and I have been watching you and have learned quite a bit from you, but the one ST that I have a LOT of problem with is the BLTC. I've got the FLTC down pat, but the back one, I just can't seem to grasp. This is a beautiful design.
I wonder how these longer stitches come out after washing. I haven’t tried your double etc for fear of getting loopies that ruin the look of the blanket with bernat chenille yarn .

I love your videos! You are very good at teaching new stitches and patterns. You don't go too fast or too slow. Thank you!
I like how you give both the UK and US terminology. I have never begun the rows like you showed. It is wonderful.
Just started baby blanket with chenille and this lovely stitch. Thank you. Delighted with this.
Wonderful! I’m so glad you like how it’s working up 💕
Best explanation for front and back posts I’ve ever seen.
Wow, thank you ☺️ 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never would have given this pattern a go - it looks too complicated. But, you have made it doable for me. I’m making a baby blanket for my grandson and am so excited to finish it up. ❤❤❤

Thank you, I’ve only tried V stitch before, as you said chenille is notoriously tricky to crochet with. Now I can dig out some yarn I’ve had for a few years and try out this pretty textured stitch. 🧶🌟

I would really love to try this
Thank you so much 💓
Thanks so much Kimberli! 🌸
I tend to make my baby blankets approximately 80cm wide so I’d just chain groups of 4 until I reach that length 🥰🌸
Love this waffle pattern, especially for chenille yarn! 🧶
Me too! Thank you 🩷

This technique is my go to - ua-cam.com/video/lEBbs8R0zdU/v-deo.htmlsi=0jRZvN63UFlKwpsa
It can be used to join new yarn mid row but also at the end of a row too ☺️
I love the stitch, yarn and colors!❤ thank you!

That’s very true! It is a bit of a yarn eater! 😅🌸
Lovely, thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Do u know about how many yards it would take to make a baby blanket with this stitch
Can this pattern be done with a triple stitch instead of a double stitch?
Yes you absolutely could 😍
Thank you
Thank you
Beautiful stitch/yarn and fab tutorial as always. Thank you 😊
You’re welcome 😊 and thank you Linda!
