      It's funny, the tire roll was a lot more noticeable in the video than it was on the machine. We could have added a couple more pounds of pressure to both ends for high speed corners.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  23 години тому +1

      @GUTI-ps6oy Not a stupid question. The Scramblers are Polaris sportiest ATVs. The biggest difference between scrambler and sportsman are the shocks. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

  • @mikestowe6136

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  Рік тому +4

      They still make the scrambler 850 in a 48" width but discontinued the 1000. They make a scrambler XP 1000 S that is 55" wide. In whooped out high-speed terrain, it would run away from a renegade but probably not in the woods. We doubt that a renegade would get around the track in this video as quickly. This machine is just so wide and stable. The suspension is incredible.

  • @mobilewintercamp7515

    I’m in love with this thing. It is the perfect rig for the trails I ride in Maine. They’re mostly road trail, some smooth and most rough to brutally rough. Very few rock crawling sections or tight trails. The only thing Is that it’s wider but not really longer than other quads. I can’t put my feet back as far as I’d like when standing, it’s a snowmobile habit. I love this thing, it would look great next to my Polaris sled and cord of firewood at my cabin, Camp Freedom 😊❤️🇺🇸

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  2 роки тому +3

      We have thought about rolling the handlebars as far forward as possible And trying to move our standing position more forward to get more weight over the front tires. It is definitely a fun machine especially when you've got room on the trails.

      The biggest thing with Polaris about throttle input is they have it tuned to come in soft and have a bunch of torque management. So everytime he blipped the throttle it restarts the curve of how it opens the throttle body. If you get a tune from RVS tuning all that stuff is gone and it gives you everything as soon as you touch the throttle. Makes a huge difference!!

    Probably going to get hate for this, but I own a 22 sportsman 1000S with this same engine and although it's fast, it's not what I was expecting. Another issue is it pushes a little in the corners and it makes it difficult to steer with the rear. Maybe it's just me, but it almost seems like a little narrower would make it easier to transfer more weight on the outside tires for better bite. I don't hate it, but I don't love it neither, and for the price I'd like to love it. Just my 2 cents.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  2 роки тому +4

      No reason for anyone to hate on you. We have noticed some front and push from this machine as well. The stock tires work better than the after market tires we tried with it previously. Putting it in 2 wheel drive helps you steer with the back end. When they extended the wheelbase 4" compared to the standard scramber, they added all of the added length to the front pbread we think this changed the weight balance causing the front end to push a bit more. Narrowing the machine would allow for a little more weight transfer However, we feel the added front in length is the culprit. This ATV is best suited for more wide open trails.

    • @jeffh7496
      @jeffh7496 2 роки тому

      ATVonDemand. I didn't think about the extra length up front causing it to push, but I think you're probably right. Makes me wonder if a little toe in would help? It definitely handles different than anything I've ever ridden and takes a lot to get used to. I'm 185lb and can't help to think this unit would be more suited for a bigger 200 plus rider with more weight to throw into it. Again I don't hate it, it's just a learning curve. One thing I can say for sure is it's definitely the most plush atv I've ever ridden, but a lot to handle "in steering " through the tight twisty trails here in Alabama.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  23 години тому +1

      @GUTI-ps6oy Power is a little more forgiving. It's not quite as hard hitting off idle and a little easier to deal with throughout the RPM range. The added width and suspension travel
      Make it easier to ride in whooped out terrain. Of course the scrambler is a little harder to slip through tight trees.

    I totally love the scrambler! It Was a long dream to drive one and three years ago i finally bought one. A really great machine and in my opinion the Most beautyful ATV.😄
    But even the latest "s" Version has no winch on Board and These halogen headlights which are really not the best. At that price i would expect to have All i probably need and a current technology. Here it ist really time for a Design Update. But except of that i absolutely love it! 😄

    2023 And no style change. Its not only Polaris that is doing this. But the ATV market has fallen flat. You can argue don't change what works, but its a lame excuse. Its sad to see and I hope some radical changes happen to stop this stagnation.

      We kind of agree but this machine is only a few years old. Can-Am just re styled their lineup and released an entirely new youth line. We are not getting the new sport quads we want but things are better than the dog days of the nineties.
