  • 2023 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S Test Review Testing Polaris’ updated king of extreme terrain. Polaris shocked the ATV world in 2019 with the launch of the 55” wide, 2020 Scrambler S and Sportsman S models. The Scrambler S is arguably the most radical ATV ever made. It’s one of the top horsepower producers with 89HP. It’s 55” width and 57.4” wheelbase, 14.5” of ground clearance and over a foot of highly-adjustable suspension travel at both ends allow the Scrambler S to hammer whoops and rip jumps like no other 4x4 could ever dream while easily conquering rutted and rock strewn trail surfaces left over from a decade of side-by-sides.
    In January of 2022, Polaris announced that the Scrambler S would be rejoining their ATV lineup, including its high-end Walker Evans shocks along with Polaris’ brand new Multi-Select electric power steering, and a bold new look for 2022 that’s carried over to 2023.
    For 2022 and 2023, Polaris made the Scrambler S even better. While it’s not the ideal machine for those who typically ride 50 inch trails, or those who race on tight cross country courses. The Scrambler S is for those who want the ability to go faster, jump farther, pound whoops with the dirt bikes or conquer tougher terrain left over by side-by-sides. There’s nothing else like the Scrambler S and it is one heck of a fun ATV to ride.

    Sure it's expensive but what's fun in life that isn't? For certain types of riding it doesn't get more fun than the 2023 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

      @@darkfire8615 I know exactly what you mean. The price is too high and then they increased it. I made a comment somewhere that all Polaris knows is bigger, heavier, and more expensive.
      AND THEN I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE ONE. (and bought it the next day)
      And it happened to be at a predominantly SxS park with very damaged trails, huge ruts & rocks piled all along & in the trails some the size of bowling balls. Try riding a standard sport quad in that and one of two things, baby the hell out of it (no fun)OR load it up early when it breaks and go home (also no fun). SxS's and the "culture" are taking over offroad parks and have zero concern for what's left behind whether it's waist deep ruts and water holes or trashy beer bottles cans tp you name it all through the woods and it only gets worse.
      You need to ride the 1000s in one of these parks. Now you are on the hammer. Those ruts rocks get eaten for breakfast. This thing WILL amaze you. You just have to ride first.

    Have to say you guys have the best quad reviews on UA-cam. Keep up the great work. And I absolutely love that you ride sport quads. I am doing a complete restoration on a 2009 KTM 525 XC. I am 50 years old and love sport quads. Okay after all that. I Just ordered a 2022 sportsman S. They are stupid money up here in Canada. I loved the 55 inch wide and the long travel suspension since they were released. Hell has more then my KTM. The cheap shocks and raising the price is a major 🤬🤬🤬. But what can you do. I am pretty stoked to say the least. I plan on some Elka shocks, complete HMF performance exhaust 😅😮RVS TUNE and clutching. I also ordered a outlaw 110 and Sportsman 110 for the boys. And got them all cheaper then a side by side. The plan is wife rides the sportsman s with the little guy. Boys on theirs and me ripping up on the KTM. Quad family for life. 😊😊😊

      Thank you for such a positive endorsement. We really appreciate it. We are sport ATV for life as well. Sounds like your sportsman S is going to be the dream. Good thing you've got that mid life money.🤣 Glad to hear you are getting your kids set up on some 4 wheelers instead of strapping them in the back of a side-by-side where they will stare at cell phones. Off roading is a lot more fun when you get to drive. Please send over a photo or video of your sportsman when it's all done. We would love to see it. Thanks for watching and being such a positive person. Made our morning.

Got it home a was driving down the road doing 30 km an hour when the engine just totally blew in half . A rod came out the side and nearly took my foot off . Warranty had just ended so the dealer would do nothing and we’re A holes . And I called Polaris myself and they wouldn’t do shit . Mind u I forgot to mention the bike also had very low hours on it . Just picked up a 2023 model a month ago.
    Ive ridden a 2013 Renegade 1000xxc over 7000 miles, n currently have a 2016 with 4000 miles.
    Over 10,000 miles in the trails with the Can Ams....
    1 ride on the 23 Scrambler XP 1000s and it changed my mind on the best of the best ATV ever built.
    Its so much better than even a Renegade 1000xxc that there is absolutely no competing with it.
    Now it just has to hold up n have the reliability of the renegade 1000xxc and it will be the best ATV ever designed....
    As far as ride quality though n sheer ability... UNTOUCHABLE!

    Loved my 2020 but I did decided to trade it in for Sportsman version, the extra storage, fender coverage is great but the shocks are junk compared to the Walker Evans, shame on Polaris, charging 21K Canadian with crap shocks, no Ride Command on screen, also will be getting rid of the fat rear tires and have same size all around like the Scrambler

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  Рік тому +2

      Yeah, switching out from Walker Evans shocks to disposable shocks was pretty crappy. We don't want ride command on these otherwise they'll just charge another $1500. Manufacturers need to start focusing on making ATV's more affordable not just adding more features to demand side-by-side equivalent prices. One man's opinion at the company.

Go pick you up a early 2000’s sports quad and have fun. if power is what you want then build it up I got a trx450r that’s pretty rowdy and I may have 5500 in it.

    Not sure if polaris updated their 4×4 but 2011 is true 4wd not awd even though they advertise awd which is actually terrible in snow and mud awd means all wheels spin just not all at the same time

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  Рік тому +3

      The biggest change in Polaris 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive system is that the ratios have been tightened up. There is very little to no rear tire spin before the front wheels start pulling now. When we shift from 2 wheel drive to all wheel drive you feel the steering stiff and up slightly even on concrete with perfect traction. Like we said, for people who used to have an issue with Polaris all wheel drive system breaking the rear tires loose 1st, they might want to try a new one. All of our test riders have found it to work incredibly well.
