One thing I've learned when I watch people approach mud holes as they creep right up to it and almost sink themselves down into it. I figured maybe you were just doing it for the sake of the video but just regular riding I've always just went up to it and hammered it right through otherwise you get stuck. Almost every time.
I'd love to see you get an old retro workhorse Kawasaki bayou 400 4x4 ATV from the early to mid 90's, and run it around the course for comparison. I think it would do almost as well in the muddy bits. Would be super useful to keep on the ranch to. I imagine you could pick one up pretty cheap these days. Not a high speed quad, but great towing ability with the super low gear :)
This thing is amazing. I like that it has a rear sway bar for added stability with the IRS. And I agree, the 2 cylinder sounds so much better than a thumper.
As an owner of one of these. The machine will do way more the rider was just not used to 4x4 atv riding not saying he’s a bad rider just new to this niche of atv.
Yeah definitely anybody that's rode ATVs a good bit knows they can do a lot more. I've actually seen a lot of videos online of people do this. They'll creep right into the mud hole and then get stuck in wonder why. We got a hammer through it and stay on the gas.
Looks like it would be fun to ride, but these new 4 wheelers are so freakin big. I think I'll stick to my 220 bayou. It's great for my trail riding, it's small and nimble enough to get through pretty dense woods. And if I get hung up, it's light enough to just pick up and move. Plus I didn't spend more on it than any of the cars I've ever bought!
Looks like the scrambler is now pretty much a stripped-down Sportsman. Sptripped down meaning smaller fenders and little or minimal cargo racking. If I were going to ride a lot of mud like that, I would rather have the sportsman 1000 just to have more fender protection from all the flying mud and debris.
You could have gotten out of any of that if you used the throttle. It wasn't really stuck at all. I live in Louisiana and we have really thick mud and I have the 1000S sportsman and I have yet to ever get stuck. Can't be shy with the throttle at all and I promise itll get the job done easily.

Way too big and heavy for a "sport 4x4" atv. This niche category of atvs started off with the yamaha wolverine in the mid 1990s. It was in the ballpark of 450lbs which made it so fun to whip around. Now this thing tips the scales at almost 900lbs? That's insane. I'll stick to a can am renegade (600lb range), faster in a straight line and a corner.

I could go through that in my Yamaha kodiak 450 eps with no help
Sokat kell még gyakorolni😆
Awesome machine but I like having more utility use at the same time. I’ll keep my 2021 sportsman 850 premium for 7k less haha👍🏽
I leave from this video that this dude can’t ride a 4 wheeler to save his life. Put someone on that thing that can ride it. What a joke
Just because you can't drive a four-wheeler doesn't mean it's stuck lmao
Renny 1K > Everything
Should try the Can-Am Renegade 1000 XMR on the course. That would be a good one to try.
9:50 Go Buffs
Way too big and heavy for a "sport 4x4" atv. This niche category of atvs started off with the yamaha wolverine in the mid 1990s. It was in the ballpark of 450lbs which made it so fun to whip around. Now this thing tips the scales at almost 900lbs? That's insane. I'll stick to a can am renegade (600lb range), faster in a straight line and a corner.
But is it really worth 18k ????
So you're getting stuck on purpose, I wouldn't have gotten stuck with that machine in any of those places
I am glad Roman allows "Big ass" as an adjective. Always a fun but, family friendly show. Goodness is special.
Around 20k out the door and still no winch ? Stoopid
Y’all should test out the Kawasaki brute force 750
if you would have lowered the tire pressure. NEVER U MIGHT HAVE GOT STUCK IN ANY POTHOLES
get someone thats rode before out there
ill keep my Honda 400EX, will out last this thing.
'06 300ex here..had a '16 570 sportsman orange new..didn't keep it past 6mo...various issues
Well that was rather pathetic...put someone like @ostacruiser on it and he'd have had no problem.
