they have deep emotional traumas in their past and learned to associate food with comforting their emotions. it's the same as self medicating with drugs and becoming a drug addict. the solution is not simply 'change ur behavior.' they have to treat the source of their trauma and and learn healthier coping skills.

In some regard they are starving. Their cells are so insulin resistant and so damaged that they don't receive the necessary nutrients. Plus ..
They eat entirely starch, sugars and fat. Wich has nothing to do with nutrition. So in a sense they are starving...themselves. When they choose to eat junk food. Junk food is worse than eating cardboards, grass or tree bark. Really. Because of those transfats.

They're often recipients of SSD in the US, and whatever is the equivalent in other countries. They get food stamps based on the number of people in the house, and since nobody actually visits the home to verify anything because the low-paying government positions are greatly overwhelmed and understaffed, the ginormous ones can easily claim that there are eight people living in the house when there might be only 3. That way, they can get more stipend each month, sponging off the government--we, the ones who have had to work for everything--so they can cram more junk into their vast maws.

I'm 5'0" and I weighed 225 lbs. it took a while, but I'm now down to 145 lbs. I'm doing it 5 lbs. at a time, for each 5 lbs. I lose, I treat myself like getting a pedicure or my nails done my goal is to get down to 130 or hopefully 125 lbs., I know I'll never have my high school figure back, and that's ok, I've had 4 kids, and I'm 66 years young. Keeping it off isn't as hard as I thought it would be, during the process, you get used to cooking to eating healthy things, one of the things that helped me was I started eating the Healthy Choice dinner and desserts, almost all of the dinners only have 50 carbs, and the dessert is already included in it. I cook for my husband and son, but I usually have one of my dinners.
