My 600-lb Life is an American reality television series that has aired on the TLC television network since 2012. Each episode follows a year in the life of morbidly obese individuals, who usually begin the episode weighing at least 600 pounds (270 kg), and documents their attempts to reduce their weight to a healthy level. Update episodes, called "Where Are They Now?", feature one or more previous patients, picking up a year or more after their original episodes aired.
Patients are placed under the care of Iranian-American Houston surgeon Younan Nowzaradan (often referred to as simply "Dr. Now"), who first has them attempt losing weight on their own by following a strict diet, and then depending on the patient's progress may offer gastric bypass surgery or sleeve gastrectomy to further assist in weight loss.
Why do they care if an immoblie person is mad at them, give them their diet food plate, then leave the room and go somewhere else and let them be mad!

@trevordinsmore2194 but then they become mobile and eat till they are immobile again. Jokes aside there are always real issues with all parties involved. Enabling terrible behavior needs actual psychological help and most people don't see it that way and will make excuses for this type of enabling.
That's what I said. These chonkers are pretty demanding for someone who can be ignored with a closed door.
What always gets me is the family saying "if we dont give them as much food as they want they will get mad." So what, what are they gonna do waddle after you? Put some music on and close the door

@@hey...4702 If someone is working out while they watch something that’s negative, and thinks; “hey, if I workout & eat really good, I’ll never end up like them.” Which is.. okay.
But soon it’ll def turn unhealthy or into an obsession, and then into some type of eating disorder or obsession with trying to stay fit/healthy, because they believe if they have the smallest slip up, they’ll look like a 600 lb patient.
@@ChelIsMagnificent Oh... I guess I've fallen into that trap. I am afraid to eat anything those people eat on the show in order not to become like them, even though i'm 5'4, 112 pounds and female, so on the lower side of the healthy range.

I see they all have one thing in common in the way they eat, they shove as much food as possible, at one time, into their mouths, so their bodies can't tell when they're getting full. If they ate more slowly, they probably wouldn't eat half of what they do.
Many of them can't gey out of the bed. Simple solution. you serve them breakfast, leave the house, come back for lunch etc, no listening their screams for more food. This is digusting.

Crystal was super depressed. She slept more than 12 hours a day and her voice just kept this low monotone sound. She needed better meds and therapy.

Tonight I felt like a sloth eating a 12 ounce steak with a mountain of roasted butternut squash and a beer for supper. I could not imagine eating that much garbage disguised as food at one sitting.

That’s why I don’t buy ranch. They pour it on like water! It’s tasty, rich and creamy. Loads of calories. I try to get only the low calorie dressings and use only a bit.
I put spicy ranch on my lasagna and it's a game changer 😂

They need to realize food is the enemy. Just start cutting back with one day. You have to have it on your mind. Low carb. No sweets, no soda, no fast food. No pizza, low dairy. Lots of fresh veggies and fruit and protein. Smaller portions. Walk. LIft light weight. One day at a time. Dont give up. Just start!

Two people I loved very much died too young of morbid obesity. The man weighed about 320-350 ponds, the woman weighed about 270 to 300. Neither one was immobile. It was awful. RIP.

In some episodes of the show the people can't make it to the toilet and so they just let it go wherever they are. Someone then has to clean them up. Nope - you couldn't pay me enough to do that job.
