Hey! Thanks for the video :) I’m a console gamer but looking for something on the fly for on transport etc, out of interest have you tried paying and fps multiplayers on it like cod or rainbow? I’m curious to hear if it’s usable for that or if latency is too big?
The part about having a reluctance to game on PC due to associating it with work is something i experience too. Wondeful video and very relatable points about the steamdeck for a common man gamer. Subbed man.
Same here + now I've 2 little children. Of course they use the TV way more and I have to be near them so I have no choice... I have to save money and get a Steam Deck.
I used to play for hour and hours on end on my pc until i started to work on one and then i started to feel tired to get home from work and sit to use the pc again, the deck came as a life changer!
perfectly said! im 37 yr old with 2 daughters and busy at work i just need a little bit of gaming at the end of my busy days and steam deck is my bestfriend before i had a steam deck lcd and sell it to buy the oled version and now im fully satisfied i dont care in any brand windows handheld coz i have a gaming laptop!
33 years old husband, 4 children. Between work and family , i m too lazy to sit behind my pc anymore, handheld are made for dad chilling on the sofa or bed after a hard day!
49 here, been working from home for 16 years, got a killer gaming PC in my office and... don't use it half as much as I should. Some of my days end up being 12 to 16 hours, so the last thing I want to do is sit in here gaming. However, my OLED Steam Deck is a different matter altogether. Living room whilst having something on TV I don't need to concentrate on that much, the garden when it's not pissing down (UK here lol), even a pub / bar at times if I've gone to one on my own just to get out of the house. And of course travelling. the deck has been an absolute game changer for sitting in airports, on 8 hour flights, on 2 hour train journeys... I almost look forward to that down time now!
The Quick Resume or Rest Mode is truly a blessing without it i would not finish so many Games i want to play. Its just instantly in the Game and Play and Pause for something else then repeat.
I'm in exactly the same boat. I bought my Deck only a couple of months ago and love it so far. I've always been a console gamer so it's nice having the perks and benefits of PC games delivered in a form factor, with a UI that clicks with me. It's like a portable PS4 but with all the back-end tinkering of a PC. I've got a few emulators, and fan developed mod games games up and running on there and it feels great having a "console" with so much freedom.
You opened my mind right now. I also work from home, and my work usually takes longer. After a long day, I don't feel like playing games at the desk I'm working at. Lately, I've started playing games mostly by lying/napping in the living room with my Nintendo Switch. I never thought that the reason for this was that the place where you work and where you play are the same, thank you. Now the only thing left is to find a Steamdeck :) Thank you very much for the video.
I can’t stress enough how much I love the Steam deck. I too work from home and spend 8 hours at my desk. I also have a gaming PC at my desk but like you that’s the last place I want to be after 8 hours of being there. Great video! I am a huge advocate for the Steam deck for the exact same reasons you mentioned.
I'm in the exact same situation regarding my office / PC desk setup. That really hit home. Definitely helps to solidify that a steam deck will be a great addition to my gaming life as a PS5/Switch/PC owner.
For me, I do a bit of workaround making a remote gaming PC and connect to it using Parsec and Moonlight from my (phone+gamepad) combo. I really love this setup and will keep using it for a long time.
Honestly can't get enough of the steam deck. Have the same issue with working at my PC all day and not wanting to play games on it in my free time, but once I got the deck my weekly hours spent actually playing stuff went from like 1 or 2 hours to at least 10. Such a great lil console that reignited my love for the medium
Been dealing with tons of travel and hardship from a cancer diagnosis. Spent lots of time in a chair getting chemo and have spent weeks at a time in hospitals for the tougher treatments and surgeries. For that reason, i ordered one of these bad boys. I haven't received it yet, but I'm excited to have a real ability to enjoy my hobby and passion, finally while I'm away from home so often. Cheers valve.
As a work from homer, everything said between 2:00 and 3:00 is exactly how I feel. I almost never game on my pc during the week, unless its in the morning before work. The mental block from sitting at the desk any longer than I have to is real.
I’m a janitor and I work nights so most of my day is at my job and I have a 9 month old, really have no time to play my pc most times but the steam deck really has made it better for me cause I’m able to play now while I’m at work 🤣
42 yo dad of 3 kids here, management job in IT so I am eyeballing the Steam Deck (i am into Cyberpunk after a longer hiatus from gaming - other than Mario Kart with my boys) so this video is spot on for me! Definitely getting an OLED model after watching your comments and thoughts on time constrictions. Thanks! Good luck with the channel.
I love this video. I own a steam deck OLED and its my fav gaming device since i grew up on gba, ds and psp, i can play all the old classics on this as well as modern titles. I mostly play rogue lites such as binding of isaac, vampire survivors, enter the gungeon since i dont want to commit a lot of time which is bringing me to the next point. Unfortunately I have been gaming less since discovering e-readers. I have downloaded over 1000 books on mine of all my fav genres and its much more portable, lighter, battery lasts for weeks, more beneficial than gaming. Its way better for your eyes since it has an e-ink screen that resembles paper, and you can read in bed for an hour before bed and sleep much better compared to playing on steam deck or on your phone. First world problems where theres so much entertainment available now that i sometimes dont know what to do. Movies, books, tv shows, gaming, books, youtube. Really feel bad for kids growing up with so much choice as im certain it has a negative impact on your developing brain,
Love this so much, I work from home and have a gaming PC as well and I didn’t want to sit in the same spot that I work in after a full days work shift. It’s just so mentally draining. So happy I got my Steam Deck and able to play all these emulator games without buying a janky emulator.
With family and life commitments it's great to read about people in similar scenarios. I'm no longer a console owner (apart from old consoles in the attic) but this seems like an incredible bit of kit. I have a switch but despise paying the switch tax for half the titles. I paid like £3 for celest when I owned a ps5 and Nintendo want £17.99! Steam seem so well priced for people who truly love games. Emulation is also a huge bonus!
This is incredible! I wish I had watched this video before, I’ve just purchased my Steam Deck 3 days ago and I’m mesmerised! I am a teacher so I have tons of work at home and at school so I have the same issue with my PC and all regarding my desk, so this is such a nice way to have fun and have 0 relationship with work! The same happens with me, reading for school and college makes me avoid reading for pleasure sometimes. Although I like my Steam games, I bought because of emulation and oh golly, best purchase ever!!! If you love emulation, go for it! Best option! ❤
Thank you so much, super happy you enjoyed the video! It's been amazing connecting the like-minded people. The struggle of balancing work and pleasure is so difficult but the steam deck really does help. Glad you're enjoying emulation on it, it really does feel like the possibilities are endless!
I work from home too and I'm the exact same- I don't want to sit at my desk in the evenings after sitting at it all day for work. It's also just not as comfy as sitting on a sofa. Definitely going to pick one up as soon as I have the cash to do so.
It's not weird, a lot of people have said that playing the PC in the office has become an issue since working from home, there's actually research that says you should move rooms too. That was focused on living room working though and if a "dedicated work space" helps.
The Steam Deck is perfect for some downtime gaming. I got my OLED model last month and I keep it right by my bed and chip away at some pokemon games. It's perfect for a nice evening in to play some games on the couch. I also recently got a dock and a bluetooth controller so I can plug it into my TV and my girlfriend and I play games from the couch. It's really a console that does it all, you can even plug in a Mouse and Keyboard to turn it into a portable gaming PC. If you're willing to tinker with it a bit (or enjoy that kind of thing like I do) you can really get just about anything working on this system and it's WELL worth it.
I'm not a busy person, but the Steam Deck totally brought my love for games back. Because of some physical problems with my arm I wasn't able to do PC gaming comfortably anymore, at all. I never thought I needed something like the Steam Deck but it's my best purchase in years ! It's literally THE backlogkiller too, I'm finally getting all the value for money back from all the games I bought in sales or bundles that never saw any play.
I just subscribed. I really enjoyed how you just gave an opinion on a product and explained why. So many videos just tell me the specs and other stuff I can read about!
Thank you so much, I'm really happy you enjoyed the video :)

I love the fact that Steam Deck is largely "no compromise" emulation device for me. All I want to play - I have on my ydeck. No more setting up emulators, controls, hotkeys. Like you said - it's more akin to a console than a PC and I love that.
Bro I have been out of the gaming world for 10 years and as soon as I got my Steam Deck oled, my gaming life has revived again ! Coming from someone who has his own shop to run I’m glad I picked this over a gaming laptop. It’s just too convenient! This video sums it all!
As someone who also works from home this really resonated with me. I grew up on consoles and have been thinking of getting my own pc but I already use my Mac for other things and I’ve teetered for months on if I should do a PC or a steam deck but when I think about the pc I wonder where else can I put it other than my office because for the same reason it’s work associated and needing that mental separation feels valuable. There’s nothing like ending the day and playing games somewhere else.
nail on the head, picked up an original deck 18 months ago and it's been a game changer enabling pretty much any game I want to play at any free moment. Completely agree with the separation between work and home life as well, closing the door to that office and not going back in is a very good way to maintain that mental separation
1000% with everything you said here. I also work from home in the room where my gaming PC is and it’s absolutely become a “work room” vs where I hang out, make videos and play pc games. For me the Steam Deck has been that pick up and play thing for sure replaying some old stuff, but also it’s very much a metroidvania device right now. I’ve never really ventured into that genre but I’m playing Hollow Knight right now and loving it.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! It's good to hear from someone in the same boat. You're right, it is very much a pick up and play machine and it's encouraged me to try games I wouldn't usually play. Very happy to hear you're enjoying Hollow Knight, it's a truly wonderful game! The metroidvania genre as a whole is one of my favourite genres, you're in for a treat!
I love gaming but after work I workout and am way too tired to turn on my pc and sit in a chair but now I’ve been playing New Vegas on my steam deck every night for an hour or so before bed. Absolutely a game changer
This is a great experience review - thanks for sharing! It brings real scenarios to life for the average person that is realistically trying to play while also managing a life 🤓 really valuable insights, great job!
i'm kind of in the same boat. I'm tired of my desk and after a long stressful day at work, I want to play stuff laying down in a different room. I wanted to get a fancy GPU at first, but then realized that I won't be playing more, since it would imply sitting at my desk. So I just got an oled deck, which is a whole computer that was cheaper than the GPU and I've been playing a little bit every day and loving it! I'd say it's perfect for busy adults. We have fond memories of older games anyway so those will run flawlessly and the battery will last a lot. I've been having a blast playing through fallout new vegas, it's running at 90fps on full details. But even better, by restricting it to 60hz and 8W tdp, you can play it for 7 or even 8 hours if you're indoors reading terminal logs! I know my way around computers, but I'm not messing with the desktop mode yet. Just cause I could use it doesn't mean I don't want a quick and painless experience, and the deck is just that. I cannot believe I can hold my childhood games in my hand, the little kid inside me is in pure awe
Steam Deck OLED has been the best purchase I have made in the past few years. Having the Steam library at your fingertips as well as how good it is at emulation is INSANE for a handheld that has the ability to play Elden Ring and even more technological games like Cyberpunk and Horizon Forbidden West. And you can dock it to a TV. There seriously is so many good things about it and really no negatives outside it wont PERFECTLY run ALL games, and potentially the price to some. But its worth it.
While I love the steam deck and the rog ally, what kinda makes it a deal breaker for me(less on the ally) is the sheer size of it. If it was maybe 30% smaller and more compact, I would've definitely kept mine. I traveled for 2 months around asia with the ally and while it was much more compact than the deck I previously had, It was still somewhat a hassle to lug around as it takes a lot of space for backpack traveling, my whole day sling was taken by the ally, and the deck would easily take 50% of my backpack space due to the gigantic case it comes with and, on that department, the switch is still unbeatable.
The size almost ruined it for me. My brother has one and when I was considering it I took a look as his and kept walking. But the more I thought about it the more I realized there really wasn't a better option. I had a couple of small Retro handhelds under a hundred bucks, but they were just "okay" and whatever was on the horizon wasn't coming for a long while and would like be just as big or more expensive. I'm used to the size now. I make allowances for when and where it's appropriate, where it isn't I have the smaller pocketable devices.
oh my god, first time I see someone else comment about the mental block of using your computer to work and also game. I haven't been able to bring myself to play, my association of the PC to my work has become so strong the last thing i want to do at the end of the day is continue to sit at my computer, even if its for fun time
Perfect for busy gamers, who like playing 10 year old games or indie titles. It's a cleverly engineered peace of tech, i'm just not sure I see a use case for it personally. I picked up a switch for similar reasons and have so far only used it about 5 times, once on a flight, and once messing around playing mariokart on a projector.
@@sebastiansanchezmendoza7523 Pulse-width modulation. It's used as a dimming technique on displays. Basically flashing so fast that bare human eyes cannot see but will still harm your eyes and cause eye fatigue, headache, dizziness even after staring at it for a minute or so like I am with OLED Nswitch which is a bummer. Most cheap OLED displays have it especially at lower brightness
As a corporate girlie who works 40-60 hours weekly, the Steam Deck is a godsend. Being able to game to the level the SD allows for when I can with little fuss is so good for my mental health and well being.
The "PC to play" block is exactly the same I've felt for years. Good to know there are other that feel the same. In my case, I am waiting for the inevitable Switch "2" and Steam Deck 2 whenever that happens. It'll be the best combo in my opinion.
With my career I work 30 to 60 days straight at a time then I’m off the same amount of days. And I’m a huge gamer while I’m home this steam deck was made for me! While I’m gone I don’t have internet 90% of the time and I don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars a month for portable Wi-Fi or a hot spot so the steam deck is a miracle for me as a huge gamer traveling all the time and away from home for a month straight or more. I am so appreciative of the steam deck.
This is such an underrated review. Like many others, I have 2 young kids and I need to be where they are if I want to steal 15min away to play a game. I work from home too and while I can just un-hook my laptop and take it to the sofa, I'd rather not risk my paycheck when my 4to inevitably climbs all over me😅 Plus, by the time I get it set up and the kids settled doing something, the game has been paused for 30 min and has drained my battery!
У меня тоже самое, работаю дома и после работы не могу расслабиться за играми на ПК. Купил Xbox, играю в другой комнате, снова стал любить игры. Сейчас вот Steam Deck нравится, но пока не уверен... Видео интересное, спасибо!
Yep. Other than spots of Rocket League, my gaming life had died before Steam Deck released. Now I'm back to playing every day, with more variety and more generations than ever before. Steam Deck is the device and gaming experience that I've been dreaming of for my entire gaming life. The OLED is so beautiful, too 😍
As a console gamers who prefers simplicity, the steam deck is the best handheld pc out there period. F those other handheld devices like the lenovo legion go which are pretty much gaming laptops. The steam deck is amazing and i love it. Currently playing some older games from my childhood 🥰. I love emulation now.
One list coming right up! Pokemon Fire Red Bloodborne Chrono Trigger Crow Country Death's Door Dishonoured Dredge Elden Ring God of War Ragnarok Half Life 2 Lies of P Metroid Fusion Minish Cap Ori and the Will of the Wisps Paper Mario Thousand Year Door Planet of Lana Short Hike Sonic 1 Solar Ash Starfox 64 Tomb Raider Tunic Ultros Vampire Survivors Wolfenstein 2
I own a steam deck, switch, 3ds xl, pc, ps, psvr, quest and vita. I haven’t turned any single one them on except my pc for over 2 years now, not once. This is an insight I’d like to share for a small portion of people out there. If you are like me this might not be a good option for you. I like to read paper back or on kindle in bed to make going to sleep easier (insomnia) so no gaming or phone or any screen time in bed 1-1.5 hours before sleep each night. No gaming at work for me in a suit as a project manager at a multi decade billion dollar revenue per anum international corporation. Not the best look or use of time. Commute work, again, no gaming. While having a meal (4 meals a day) I enjoy watching a movie/tv show or talking to my partner so no gaming. In the toilet I enjoy watching YT similar at the gym on a treadmill or in between sets resting while lifting. When on vacation usually with my partner no gaming except the airplane but never again during travels. So although I got on the hype train and purchased a few handhelds I never use them. After playing on a large screen tv or my desk setup with a monitor on 4k 120fps or 1440p higher fps the 7-8 inch screen feels incredibly small to enjoy the game. You might feel quite excited and use it often on your initial purchase and then leave it collecting dust like I have after the honeymoon period. The screen is just too small, I am ok with resolution, while frame rate is quite bad I can stomach that too but I really have no reason to need of use. If you have a console and even better a pc or laptop it is not a need to have but interesting to have kinda deal especially if you have one or two more hobbies on top of gaming.
My gaming started in late 80's. Steam Deck is such cool device as I don't play never titles virtually at all, maybe the most modern stuff is around gta4 era. To me it shines on ie, Dos games. It's fairly easy to buy stuff on GOG. Use Heroic launcher to import game into Steam and then I can easily map all dos keys, joystick and mouse stuff to controllers and especially touchpads with overlays. Like just completed Wing Commander 2 with Steam Deck having about plus 20 keyboard controls mapped to device. That's stuff that you can't do with any other device than Steam Deck. Actually I also played through JA3 and I absolutely hated its controller setup, so I just did my own mouse/keyboard shortcut controls for it. Sure mapping takes easily around hour for many titles to do, but man when you do it well, the experience is insanely good. Like that WC2 I've always played with keyboard, but now for first time I had joystick emulated on left stumbstick and rest of the keyboard mapped, game experience was BETTER than with playing on desktop. I just wish Steam would re-iterate Steam Controller 2 and just simply make it Steam Deck without display part and I'd buy that for my HTPC in a heartbeat.
I’m 37. Two children. Home remote work. Tried to play PS4 - boring. Playing on notebook - same. Only when I bought SteamDeck & take it with me on bike ride - that’s open my mind & attraction to play games. Now I can relax anywhere where I am.
Got 2 512gb models for 575 dollars from the pawn shop. So far, I've abandoned the switch and regular console gaming. It's wonderful going anywhere with it
If you are busy and have little time to spare to game, Steam Deck is not the way to go. I sold my Steam Deck because of this. After leaving it in rest mode for a few days, the battery was drained. So i had to sit near a charger. Too bulky to take with me on a train ride to work. And when i finally got around to play a new game, i had to tinker with settings for a while. As a busy person anything pick-up and play is more suited.
You can literally play almost anything. I’ve emulated almost any console you can think of, Minecraft’s not on Steam but you can still play it on here. Elden ring is a perfect example of what this thing is capable of. I highly recommend it
Ive been thinking about this since it came out but haven’t pulled the trigger. I played my switch for years but finally put it down as its been slowing down each year i play it and add games, plus nothing has come out to lead me back to it. Once the Playstation Portal came out i already saw the potential and preordered that asap and have yet to regret my purchase. However now with the steamdeck oled model out that has peaked my interest once again. I know with my luck as soon as i buy the oled model, Steamdeck Pro or Steamdeck 2 will aill be announced.
I‘m very close to pull the trigger on the Deck myself and your video might just push me over the line. Working from home as well so I‘m definitely not spending my free time on that same desk. I also don‘t think I want too much tinkering with my PC gaming experience, so the Deck seems to be the perfect choice between flexibility and consistent peformance. I was looking at some mini PCs but Windows just isn’t made for the TV experience IMO. The one thing that stopped me so far was no native Game Pass support, but you made me learn of XBPlay now and this might be the one missing piece of information I had. I wanted to ask if your buying habits have changed since your purchase? I tend to be getting more frustrated that my gaming libraries and progress is scattered among so many consoles these days. I wish it was all in one place and easily transferable. But then if everything is so easily accessible on one device like you showed, it‘s maybe not really a problem after all?
Haha! You're the only person to spot that. There's loooooads of custom boot videos over at steamdeckrepo.com, plenty of guides showing you how to do it!
Nice review! Definitely interested in the OLED. How do you have Nintendo games on there, like Starfox64 and Zelda? Did you have to do extra work to run homebrew emulator ROMs? I'd have to look into that and do more research. I bet 007 Goldeneye would be awesome on the Deck! I wonder if you can get old NES and SNES games too. Also, what FPS is that at @1:33 ? One of the newer Wolfenstein games? What game at @4:55 ? Thanks!
As someone who’s a ps5 main, I’ve been eyeing the steamdeck since I’m hardly home to play my ps5, I sold my Xbox series s since I hardly touch it and only played halo and seeing halo is on steam deck I sold to put it towards a steamdeck. I do wanna get the OLED

Really feel bad for kids growing up with so much choice as im certain it has a negative impact on your developing brain,
This
Wonderful video, and I pray that my internet can handle my remote play dreams when my deck arrives later this week!
One of us! One of us! I hope you enjoy the deck, your gaming experience is about to get so much better! Thanks for watching 😁
Love this so much, I work from home and have a gaming PC as well and I didn’t want to sit in the same spot that I work in after a full days work shift. It’s just so mentally draining. So happy I got my Steam Deck and able to play all these emulator games without buying a janky emulator.
Thank you so much :) glad you're enjoying the deck. It's unlocked gaming time I never thought I'd have! And that's super important to me.
Environment being important is absolutely not weird. Environment is everything.
'Don't shit where you eat' as they say
Getting a Steam Deck really got me back into PC gaming after moving to Xbox for a few years. Valve really struck gold here.
I've played the entire fallout series on the deck, Witcher 3, god of war, and have moved on to Skyrim been awesome so far
That's amazing to hear, so happy your gaming passion has been reignited! Welcome back! 😁
Thank you so much! 😁 Really happy you enjoyed it!
well said, i'm glad to see another deck head joins the gang. Welcome brother!
Agreed with you on not being able to stay in my work area where I have my pc as well. So I’ve really contemplated getting a steam deck.
Great video
Thank you so much :)
i'm kind of in the same boat.
Excellent video, thanks. Didnt know about remote play with the xbox on the deck. Saving up for an OLED deck and I'm pumped.
Thank you! I hope you don't have to wait long 😁
While I love the steam deck and the rog ally, what kinda makes it a deal breaker for me(less on the ally) is the sheer size of it.
True, I really like to play while I'm driving to work, the steam deck is a perfect fit on my stearing whell, just perfect
Being someone who also works from home and hates gaming in my office I needed to hear this haha
If I hadn't already bought an OLED, this would have pushed me to make the purchase. And pretty much for all the same reasons.
Love my deck. I use it more than any other system and it doubles as a work station in the living room when I need.
Steam deck is my favorite way of playing games
Orderd the 512gb oled model last night Can’t wait for it to arrive!
oh my god, first time I see someone else comment about the mental block of using your computer to work and also game. I haven't been able to bring myself to play, my association of the PC to my work has become so strong the last thing i want to do at the end of the day is continue to sit at my computer, even if its for fun time
I love to hear that you're playing Chrono Trigger! That's my favorite game of all time. Enjoy it!
OLED handheld gaming devices are PWM nightmare for sensitive ones. Most people won't even realize that they are PWM sensitive but they show symptoms
What is pwm?
I'm with you there! The simple pick up and play nature of it is second to none.
The "PC to play" block is exactly the same I've felt for years. Good to know there are other that feel the same. In my case, I am waiting for the inevitable Switch "2" and Steam Deck 2 whenever that happens. It'll be the best combo in my opinion.
welcome home my friend
I work from home too and while I can just un-hook my laptop and take it to the sofa, I'd rather not risk my paycheck when my 4to inevitably climbs all over me😅
Plus, by the time I get it set up and the kids settled doing something, the game has been paused for 30 min and has drained my battery!
2:21 Some GameCube games have widescreen hard patches! You should try them! TTYD also has a nice HD texture pack.
Oooh!? Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely look into this!
У меня тоже самое, работаю дома и после работы не могу расслабиться за играми на ПК. Купил Xbox, играю в другой комнате, снова стал любить игры. Сейчас вот Steam Deck нравится, но пока не уверен... Видео интересное, спасибо!
I cling to your every words brother!
Awesome sir! I love using remote play the most on my Steam Deck!
It’s perfect for low end graphic games. Don’t expect to play anything modern though
Great review.. you’ve made me buy one after uming and arring about it!
Amazing! Please let me know what you think when you get your hands on one 😁
Yep. Other than spots of Rocket League, my gaming life had died before Steam Deck released. Now I'm back to playing every day, with more variety and more generations than ever before. Steam Deck is the device and gaming experience that I've been dreaming of for my entire gaming life. The OLED is so beautiful, too 😍
Thanks for this video! Really considering to get it, the only thing that is stopping me is my xbox library and empty steam library 😓
I'd love a list of all the games shown in this video
One list coming right up!
Pokemon Fire Red
Bloodborne
Chrono Trigger
Crow Country
Death's Door
Dishonoured
Dredge
Elden Ring
God of War Ragnarok
Half Life 2
Lies of P
Metroid Fusion
Minish Cap
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door
Planet of Lana
Short Hike
Sonic 1
Solar Ash
Starfox 64
Tomb Raider
Tunic
Ultros
Vampire Survivors
Wolfenstein 2
100 percent agreed… I work 15 hour days all the time and without my Steam Deck - I wouldn’t be able to do much gaming at all.
the PERFECT review. I like it.
Thank you :)
So good Poh! Ready for new material!!!
Got 2 512gb models for 575 dollars from the pawn shop. So far, I've abandoned the switch and regular console gaming. It's wonderful going anywhere with it
I bought steamdeck a month ago. Used it for a week only. I have different kind of busy
Sonic 3s cover art is my favourite loved that game as a kid
If you are busy and have little time to spare to game, Steam Deck is not the way to go. I sold my Steam Deck because of this. After leaving it in rest mode for a few days, the battery was drained. So i had to sit near a charger. Too bulky to take with me on a train ride to work. And when i finally got around to play a new game, i had to tinker with settings for a while. As a busy person anything pick-up and play is more suited.
I hear you brother, home working offices have ruined them spaces! Bas@&!ds! Great content, keep it going and make this your living. You got this.
Thank you so much, this was very nice to read! Finding time to game AND create videos is proving to be hard but I'm trying!
So tempted to get one now they have an oled version... miss my switch and been debating grabbing one of these instead
You can literally play almost anything. I’ve emulated almost any console you can think of, Minecraft’s not on Steam but you can still play it on here. Elden ring is a perfect example of what this thing is capable of. I highly recommend it
The games you are playing in this video look amazing! Please, share the name in the description next time.
Seeing Sonic games in your background made me instantly sub! :)
A fellow sonic fan! Thanks for the sub 😁
But then if everything is so easily accessible on one device like you showed, it‘s maybe not really a problem after all?
background music is from Tunic, right? so sweet !
Correct! Such a beautiful game 😁
Nice review. Thanks
I just purchased the 512gb steam deck the lcd model. Cant wait to start playing some games on the go. Any games i should play first?
Alright... What goes into setting up that Superintendent power up screen you had? That's the smallest detail that got me so excited.
Haha! You're the only person to spot that. There's loooooads of custom boot videos over at steamdeckrepo.com, plenty of guides showing you how to do it!
Im waiting for mine to come in. :)
Im really excited to play my original xbox and n64 classics on the go ^u^
Chiaki4Deck can also stream games that support HDR on the PS5
Which is something the PS Portal cannot do cause it's display is not HDR compatible
Another reason to get a deck instead of a portal! I can't believe the portal isn't HDR compatible, seems like a major flaw.
@@Harvesquire IKR, and its also just a 60Hz display, so it cant take advantage of the PS5's HDR or High Refresh Rate :/
Mate, you sound like me. Great review
Thanks!
That game is Solar Ash :)
@@enavihz Thank you! :D
Nice Deck, bro. Can we get some Deck pics?
what are these games' name? thanks man. Very good review indeed!

4:43
Thank you for your kind words 😁
First one is Death's Door, second one is Tunic. They're both amazing games!
@@Harvesquire i've never into casual games so much like this until getting my SD OLED
I think the deck is perfect for every kind of gamer, it really does offer something for everyone. If you get one, let me know what you think! 😁
I spend more time trying to get basic functions to work on linux than i do playing the games
Much larger gaming library than the Nintendo Switch, I will be switching too the Steam Deck. Just wish I could find the Steam Deck OLED used 😣
