I don't think I would. It's like a tattoo. I would totally do the faux locks if they wanted to. For real dreads, it would have to be a decesion they make when they're a bit older and know what they want to do with their life. And plus, I'm in Texas and the heat is KILLER with locs, I don't need the babies overheating.
Oh girl I get that! Yes she begs for them and I really don’t want to do it till her confidence is so big and she can handle anything that comes her way. I would however do a row of partials. I do love kids with them tho, adorable! I just think for our family and living in the Midwest we will wait as long as possible. ❤️
I would love to! I have a four-year-old who loves mine and always says that she wants dreads like mommy but these kids can catch lice so easily from school these days that is the only thing I Worry about. That, and they do tend to be a little painful after maintenancing and such
@@aint_me_babe2109 same thing for my son... He's eight year old and he wants dreadlocks so much till he was 6... I promise he'll have them at eleven (I strongly hope that time lices will be a bad memory...) he started growth his hair one year ago. In 2023 they'll be perfect for locking! He could have easily freeform locks 'cause he's curly, but I'll take him to my dreadmaker.
Love this! What great mom/child moments (hours). She will never forget momma did this. Bravo! she made me giggle, love that sweet just happy to be momma's twinsie
Love how you did your daughter's hair! If she wanted dreadlocks, I would definitely let her. You both rock it well! I have a question for you regarding SECTIONING. I tried to find a video that might talk about sectioning AND how the hair falls after sectioning. I recently had mine done by a Loctician and I feel as though some of the sections aren't placed where I would typically prefer them to be. Did you experience this? Can I take out some sections and have them redone? What do you suggest? Help! (I am considering extensions too to modify this issue.)
Liza Jayne aww she’s so cute. I remember when my grandson saw me doing locks for the first time at age 3 he said he wanted them someday so , last year I did his permanent set. He is almost 13 now and he loves them. I care and maintain them for him but he’s learning to do them for himself now with my guidance. I am a cosmetologist by trade and have been doing locks for well over 15 years . I absolutely love your locks. It looks like you have a sweet mini me on your hands. It’s so sweet when children love to emulate the ones they look up to most. Compliments to you momma ! I enjoy following your socials , it’s so refreshing to learn and follow your beautiful dread work
Id love to give my youngest son locs for reals! He would totally suit them he hates his hair being touched and brushed However so it would have to be done in his sleep at night 😂🤦♀️ My hubbys said no so i wont do it without his acceptance and blessing to do it! Also my 2nd youngest who is also a violet xD keeps asking for real dreads but again its a no haha!
@@LizaLocs its a pain but can be done -- I ordered blonde human hair to make more for adding in a month but I am going to use henna on them to see what happens -- so they can match my hair
Would you let your child get "real" dreadlocks?

Why not! It's just a hairstyle. Rather lox on their head than religion inside it. No offence to anyone.
