It's fascinating how human perception of a brand can be shaped by the smallest details, even when there isn't a single, specific factor to attribute it to.
Indian brands stepping into the premium segment is a testament to the country's growing market sophistication and consumer aspirations. It's exciting to see homegrown companies pushing boundaries and competing with global giants.
India has 1,400,000,000+ people... there is room for everything to exist. From moped to Maybach. From not-having-water-bathe to Forrest Essentials. From wearing rags to Ritu Kumar. It's just how numbers work. Don't complicate it for the sake of complicating.
Such opportunities are due the stark difference in income, but as a society we are progressing towards brand aspirations. Have you noticed that nowadays everyone wants Iphones and Nike shoes?
@@airtribe Well, I've been noticing that since the 90s... When I was in school in early 2000s, I wanted Levis and Deisel jeans. This is not new in any way. The exposure via internet has only made it more pronounced. 80 crores Indians are living on subsidized foodgrains and you are saying "India is buying PREMIUM"? Is this what your "industry experts" are telling you??? You put a stupid clickbaity title, it helped the algo. Don't try to defend it. I understand that todays kids think that they're "learning" by watching Shamani and Beerbiceps and that shving company dude, but please pick a book once in a while.
