Thank you very much. I read a description online somewhere of the scrolling method you demonstrated here but couldn’t get my head around it. Actually seeing it done has made all the difference! I get it now! LOL Again, thank you! 😊
Thank you for a second video. It's me I get scared and have panic attacks from big Canvases 🙃, but they look so beautiful and I want to learn to do them and finish them. My next dp is a 50×50. So my mom showed me how to use the release papers because she use them and gets done so quick. Pray for me🙏😉, I'm going in on the biggie the end of this month. Hoping I don't change my mind and do something else which is usually 30×40😁.
You aint lyin.... the moment you start rolling the finished part of your canvas is where my anxiety comes from. Im always afraid of the drills falling off. Thank you for alleviating my concern.
Thank you for the video. I didn't know when I first started working on a large DP and I learned hard way that you shouldn't let your finished DP lay in your lap or have your arm all over the finished portion. You should push it toward the top of your working station. I also learned if you start in the center and either go left or right and work downward to bottom and finish then turn it upside down and work same then turn it sideways finish that side then move it to the other side and finish it. What you are actually doing is working in a four square pattern... Hope I haven't confused anyone ...😃
You've always given me great, tips, and i have watched your other tutorials, they have heloed me immensely, since starting my DACs " Mountain Castle! My first huge canvas, and lots of confetti! A big Thank You, Vickie from SE Pa
Ty for the tips Mrs Coffee love to all the Coffee family and good vibes your awesome will try to make it to live tonight may need a nap 1st been a long couple days
Thank you for all this great advice. I have done quite a few small (smaller than A4) canvases, and in a moment of madness, purchased a 100x 80 cm canvas with square drills, which is unlike my previous projects which had round ones. I like the idea of rolling, I was just bothered about damaging the canvas, but you have given me confidence to do that, as my table just won't cope with the size. I have some clips that I use for quilting, that hold large swathes of fabric out of the way whilst you sew another bit, I might see if they will do the trick. Failing that, I might get some foam pipe insulation and roll round that. But thank you for a very useful video. PS. love your nails!
I agree, Mrs coffee is right I have some Gator jaws hair pins and I used those, release papers, & Rolled QE-1 she was daunting when I kitted her up but…. Those few things helped me.. I will be sending this off to my bestie! ❤
Thanks so much for your help! I like the scrolling method for the large canvas. I was afraid of damaging the work I'd already done, plus the limited space I have to lay my canvas out. : )
Good morning Mrs. coffee thank you for showing how to do diamond painting when it’s big Because I always have a hard time appreciate you have a great day be safe you and the family
I just subscribed to your channel but I have been watching you, you are amazing, I love how honest you are! You make me feel better about the World. Have a blessed day!
I re-watched this coz I'm about to start this same canvas, Petals Fall. I am currently practicing squares on a small one and also using bakery/parchment paper to section. Thanks for the tips and I'm confident to start!
So many good tips! I have just been learning as I go. I struggle with my drafting table. I enjoy having it but completely flat is a no go, having it angled is great but I have a hard time keeping my light pad mounted and in place. I’m trying to find the sweet spot, lol. I’m on the struggle bus 😂 Thank you for your videos, Mrs. Coffee, I always enjoy watching!
I know what you mean about keeping the light pad in place on a drafting type table, what I do is I bought some blu-tack and put it on the back of my light pad and it stays in place and I move it as needed. The tack does not do anything to my table or my light pad, it does not move at all. I am sure their is other products out there to, so give this a try. Have a good day, Kerry
@@kerry4421 thank you! I will definitely give this a try! I actually have a lot of blue tack as I’ve been trying different types of things in my pens. Thanks for tip :)
This is a great video! I did order this same canvas and have not unboxed it yet!! You gave some very good pointers. I am never afraid of doing a large canvas but this one I am wondering about lol!! Two thumbs up on this video!!!
Oooh this was perfect timing! I'm just about to start on a bigger kit and I was wondering how to go about managing it on my craft desk which if about 1/3 smaller than the canvas!
Great tips. I got a pool noodle from the dollar store and the part that is finished I roll it up with drills on the outside and use a large clip to hold it on the noodle. if just starting out you could use the noodle on the undone part and when you get more done then reverse it to the finished part. so you're just exposing part of your canvas. Thanks always for the wonderful fun videos.
I was watching one of your wip n chats and you were working on your recent painting and I notice that you had turned the painting sideways and I decided to try it out. It really works to turn the painting sideways it helps to work on the painting better. Thanks for the tip even though you didn't know you were helping me.
Super helpful video for me- thanks! Especially as I try to figure out the best way to work on the center of this big Crown Jewel canvas I have from Heaven and Earth Design! The Bobby pins idea- brilliant too. 😉👏🏼
Hi, Mrs. Coffee I learned by mistake with the big kit. I first one I tried it overwhelmed me and i had to stop and give myself a break.. The painting I just finished weeks ago I use the release papers, you are talking about and it made the process of doing a big painting better. And I finished the painting with no problems. I don't have a lot of table space so as I was finishing the painting I let it fall down off the table and it worked fine. Nothing happened to it. So now i cover up the painting so I don't feel overwhelmed and have anxiety. It really helps. And I roll it up as I go. I got mine from Staror website
Thanks for the tips. I do some of these same things but I hadnt thought of turning the kit sideways and rolling up from the side when its long in width. I will give that a try. I also use clamps that I bought from Harbor Freight. They have several different sizes. They are plastic clamps so I dont have to worry about it being metal and damaging my kit. I bought them for when I build the 12th scale dollhouses or make doll house furniture but they work great to hold my canvas rolled up! I used to section off my canvas with washi tape but you are so right about the release papers. I only use that method now for big kits.
Hello Mrs. Coffee. I have a large one that I will be working on in a few months & this helped me out tremendously. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
Hello Mrs Coffee, thank you . I had stop working on my large kit , not enough table space and it was to much as a beginner diamond painter and it was a square kit.
Thank u for this video I have just purchased a big dp and excited even more to get started once it arrives! I would like to see a video how u would frame this after u complete a big dp.
Thank you so much for sharing your tips! I'm new to diamond painting and have been struggling with the canvases to find a comfortable way to work on them.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips on working on a large dp canvas. I feel better about working on a large canvas now. Do you have a video about working on a square drills canvas? I have never done a square drills canvas because I feel overwhelmed!!
I'm going to start a large painting ,I'm going to use pool noodles on both ends to roll my canvas you just slit the pool noodle and count it to fit you canvas this makes it easier to roll.
Thank you for the tips. I just bought the flawesomecrafter diamond painting you unboxed. The beautiful ballerina with the red dress. I just couldn't resist it. I love POC paintings. It's the largest I've ever done. It's also a square drill painting which I've never done either. I figured if I'm going for it, I might as well go hard. 😁😁 These tips were very helpful. Thank you for another great video!!
I like the fold over tip. I’ve only been diamond painting since February. So clearly not an expert lol. I’m right handed so I found working from top left to right works for me. So I’m not laying my arm on the finished part. I also bought a pool noodle cut a slit down the middle and placed it over the edge of my table so there isn’t any fold marks when you just let it hang. I still haven’t gotten used to flipping the canvas in different directions and reading the symbols. It confuses my eyes 😂
This was good. I just started the Amsterdam Canal, which is huge to me. Come back and show this completed someday. I love the image and would like a peak at finished canvas. Thank you.
Thank you very much, the struggle that I have with the release paper that you showed is it I cannot tell which side is the correct side to put against the diamond painting! Both sides appear to be shiny. Any advice?
I will never buy Staroar release papers anymore. I used them a lot and then one time on my DAC canvas near the end and went to lift one of the papers and it was hard to pull up. When I finally started getting it up, I realized that the silicone backing had separated from the paper and was stuck to my canvas. It was a nightmare because baby wipes did not work. Nothing did. And to top it off, when I contacted Staroar about what happened including a photo, they basically called me a liar and said that wouldn't have been their release paper. I know it was because it was all I was using.
Im sorry you had this experience, Ive been using her release paper for years on my DAC's and never had or heard of that issue, now that's not to say these things dont happen. I cant even think of what might have happen
If the release paper is not double-sided sticky release paper this will happen. Believe me I almost had it happen to me but something told me to test it. If I buy single sided sticky release paper I always have to watch the you tube video on release paper to find out what side goes down on DP. Shinning or not...
Lol I'm working on a huge 120cm × 160cm ( 47.24× 62.99in.) Wish someone would do a video on this big of size lol. I had to fold it in half and even doing that I have to stand and strain myself to reach the middle parts. I have no choice i have to lean on mine thats the only way i can reach the middle parts with how big it is lol. I posted a pic of it your group recently I may have deleted tho I don't remember not many people interacted with me on the post. Lol anyways good tips tho. Mine is so big I'm just winging it lol 😆 Thanks Ms.Coffee. 🤗❤️🩹

Walmart brand parchment paper is great . I use it on all my diamond painting and small magnets from dollar tree

OHHH. They are Release Papers! I just got these papers for the first time, included with my last kit. I had no idea. Thanx . Love your site !!
You are so welcome!

Thank you.

Thank you that was super helpful.

Good morning Mrs.Coffee, this video was so helpful as I work on my DP that’s 120x80cm , so thank you so much! :)
Hello Mrs. Coffee. I have a large one that I will be working on in a few months & this helped me out tremendously. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
Thanks for the tips Mrs coffee getting a big canvas for my birthday and now I feel a lot better about starting it,xx
Hello Mrs Coffee, thank you . I had stop working on my large kit , not enough table space and it was to much as a beginner diamond painter and it was a square kit.
I use the washi tape to work on the section that I am working on it. That way I only focus that. I do roll them up
, also.
i use pool noodle's you cut them as it helps a lot especially if you are working on a double sided tape
If you take the clear plastic off, keep track of which side was which. The top will stick something fierce to the painting
It’s diamond painting no anxiety involved. Just thinking of it makes me relax
Thank u for this video I have just purchased a big dp and excited even more to get started once it arrives! I would like to see a video how u would frame this after u complete a big dp.
Your tips are always the best and well-spoken. Thank u
just to say, id never use parchment paper, use wax paper so it doesnt stick to your canvas. :)
Reverse that Never use wax always parchment
Thank you, this is very informative. Good night Mrs. Coffee

this helps so much! i am currently working on fuji flora from DAC and it is truly massive!

I keep old film and use washi tape to square it, I can still see it but have small sections
Reynolds parchment is the best. Do not use $store brand, it sticks to the glue and is horrible to get off.
Good tips I've used cheap kind but I only put it on one I'm currently working on 💕
For an extra tip, through someone else, I discovered sewing clips or quilting clips on amazon.
Just what I needed thank you 😊
I don't have hair pins but I used the clips that go on my potato chip bags to hold my canvas rolled.
Thank you for this info. I’m about to start on a large kit that covers my dining table. These tips will be helpful. 😊👍🏻
Working on Dinosaurs battle it’s my first big canvas for its size. The only one problem is working in the middle of canvas
You are my favorite
Aw Thanks 😊 🥰
I liked this being revised thank you! Can you do a kitting one because you do it without the containers now?
Yes
This was good. I just started the Amsterdam Canal, which is huge to me. Come back and show this completed someday. I love the image and would like a peak at finished canvas. Thank you.
This video was so helpful! I posted a question about this very thing. I have my first big canvas
Could cover minders be used instead of bobby pins to keep the undone part of the painting rolled up?
If the magnet is strong enough
Thank you very much, the struggle that I have with the release paper that you showed is it I cannot tell which side is the correct side to put against the diamond painting! Both sides appear to be shiny. Any advice?
I’ve gotten good cover papers from Amazon

Work sideways

How do you organise your diamonds
Can you show us how to use release paper
You litterally just put them on your kit until its covered up
I am currently keeping the portion not completed rolled in a clip.
Thank you, this is very informative. Good night Mrs. Coffee
