I totally feel you on the terracotta. Most of my collection is in terracotta with a lot of well draining soil, and when it’s warm they need watering almost twice a week and it gets a lot. I’m coming around the the nursery pots cachepot situation. Some super fun plants here. I need to give my begonia maculata some TLC 😅🪴✨
I just planted a bunch of anthurium seeds and I separated them when they got crowded and put like 3-4 in each new pot for space savings…. When they are ready to sell/giveaway I’ll seperate them again or sell as a multi planted pot. Great job on the seedlings
Did some googling on the calathea reclassification. I think calathea white fusion is a cultivar of calathea lietzei, and that calathea is reclassified to a groeppertia. So... I think the white fusion would then also be a groeppertia. Not sure! Anyway, if we say calathea, everyone knows what we're talking about :).
I'm so sorry you had to move away from your desert home. I want to live in Tucson so much. How painful to have to move away. Did I hear you say "before the baby came"? OH t CONGRATS!!!! A son or daughter?
My maculata is currently in water bc I can't keep that little crybaby happy 😅 so she's in water until I can make sure she is happier before I transition back to soil.

Maculata is the name given to all spotted, angel-wing varieties and the variety you have specifically is the ‘wightii’ 😊❤
I have one and had no idea what it was called. Thank you!
Maculata is a species. Wightii is a subspecies of Maculata. A lot of people misname the hybrids of Maculata as Maculata when they’re not.
@@lucianolucivan6600 thank you for clearing up my generalization.
Ah thank you!! 🥹
All my calathea, maranta and begonia are loving life in PON.

I repotted my seedlings as soon As they have two leaves. I start feeding them at that time as well.
Thanks Becca. 🌲💚🙃

You can always glaze your terracotta inside and out. I know that’s a lot of work, but you can do it a little at a time 😊

Great content
You pulled up that Calathea and I was like "whaaaaat?"
Could the calathea be a white fusion / stella? Whatever it is, it's really pretty! :)
Yes, I'm pretty certain it's a calathea 'white fusion'!!
Fun video!

Does Adam have a UA-cam for the hoya?
Always good when a calathea can stay alive for a couple of months 😅
It looks like a Calathea Stella
