Becca I started my plant journey during the lockdown, in the beginning I followed a bunch of plant creators, you are almost the only one I still follow regularly. I like that you are authentic and humbled human being!
I love my curly spider plant! I almost didn't get one because it was just a spider plant. Common and familiar. But I saw one that was growing so nicely one day that I just couldn't resist. I'd add holiday cacti to the tried and true. Easy to find, easy to care for, and they look great even without blooms.
out of all the many plants I have, as crazy as it sounds- spiders do really well untill mid winter and I kill a few every year- for years. They will come back sometimes after they are back outside over summer, but I just decided yesterday that the few I have beginning to struggle are leaving the house in the near future. The easy spider plant doesn't like me at all.
I love spider plants! I can’t resist propagating them!!!! I think I have 5 but only bought one in my plant journey. The Hawaiian Spider plant. And it has 3 babies, so I plant on propping them too!!!!
My spider plant really loves a lot of sunlight and plenty of water. I found when I moved it where it gets a full 4 hours of sun it was doing a lot better, and I make sure the soil is always a little damp
I have never been able to keep a spider plant happy. I know I am an overwater so I’m assuming that letting it go more dry is it jam? Yeah, that plant has always been hard for me. Thank goodness they’re cheap :-)
My top 4 would be: 1. Just about any pothos (Neon, golden, snow queen, etc) 2. Spider plants 3. Aloe Vera 4. Boston Fern My aloe and the fern are the oldest plants in my collection (since 2011), and the a couple of my pothos and spider plants are props from my mom's plants that she still has in her house, that were in our house when I was growing up in the 1970s - I also have an African violet prop from one of her plants from that same time period. My only problem with Hoya is they're very - VERY attractive to mealy bugs. It seems like I have a constant battle with them - just when I think I've got them under control, they pop up somewhere else.
It’s interesting how everyone always says how easy pothos are. I can grow all different sorts of plants, even ones that are similar to pothos, like certain philodendrons. But pothos seem to hate me, or at least the environment in my home. 🤷♂️
Oh the baby noises 🥹🥹 I miss the little noises. I have a toddler now so instead of cute baby noises, I have a tiny velociraptor living in my home 🤣 love your channel and all your planty vids! Keep it up!
If I were to add my go to plants that never fail it would be syngoniums, Syngoniums and more Syngoniums. Very easy to care plants that keep growing and growing. ❤
Systemic is the only way Ive ever gotten rid of mealies in my compactas. Just too many hiding places. I give all of them systemic as a matter of course.
My 4 would be
1. Epipremnum aureum
2. Sansevieria trifasciata
3. Golden Goddess Philodendron
4. Dracaena fragans
For me the classic hoya carnosa is soooo easy. Doesn't really need to acclimate to high sun. Grows for me even in Winter and is very pest resistant!!
So close to 80,000 . You rock !! I have been with you from the beginnings and have loved every minute of it. Thank you
It’s amazing to see her plant journey. 🎉🎉🎉

Gotta love my snake plants too, they just can’t seem to die, unless you overwater them lol. They are the best!
The angle/lighting in this video is so pretty!
Thank you!! ☺️
Love spider plants but I have a heck of a time keeping them alive.😢
Omg I can't figure out my spider plants I've had three in my time. All have perished!

Love!! Some of my faves too
How do you keep the spider plants leaf tips from browning? All of my spider plants are struggling with this.
It’s a common thing with them because they do it to put their energy into new growth. It’s sort of inevitable/hard to avoid

My variegated Hoya compacta has mealy bugs. Ugh. I repotted it with new soil and washed it off really well. I need to add the systemic granules soon.

Submerge it in dawn dish soap water for 30 minutes...Voila
my spider plant is so easy but looks so beat up from my cats lol
The reflection of bouncing Nora in the window when you ask her to make a noise!
Tried and true for me are all my sansaveria…
Heeeellloooo Bec…… lm back.
