- Some have questioned whether or not the results I'm getting with my dyno setup are correct and accurate. So I put it to the test!! Today I put my results of the SKAR SK-1500.1 up against SKAR's own test of the same amplifier using their SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno.

So if you question my results, you need to question the AD-1 itself. If you question the AD-1, you need to question the results of Sundown, DC Audio, SKAR and other manufacturers and suppliers using the AD-1 to test their own amplifiers.

You should link to your video showing how you created your switchable dummy load in the description of each amp test video. Once people understand your electronics skills, even non-believers will see the light!
Still, those forums are filled with people who live to complain, so don't waste too much of your time and energy trying to explain things to them. I did the same a while back and finally gave up. Even Tony D has done training videos on his YT channel, yet even some of the national competition groups still use clamps with speakers and think they are getting watts. Unreal
Thats a good idea about the link to the video. I really should make a new video of it because Ive changed a few minor things, but it's essentially the same I guess. I am really thinking about rebuilding it with a lower load capability. More and more I want to test amps below 1-ohm

Great job man like Big D said don't bother with the haters you just can't fix stupid! Just direct them to the link to Steve Meade when he demos the amm-1 then explain if they think it's not accurate talk to Steve well actually Tony D. Keep it up! and keep them videos coming! how much does that cost compared to the $3500 price tag on the AD1
The problem with the amp dyno is that it's useless in the real world and the reason why is music is dynamic and frequency rises and falls so if you set your gains or test a amp at 40hz what happens when you play a song with 20hz I will tell you, your amp still clips. Most people in the know still use a o-scope to set their gains or to test true wattage in a car. Not hating just stating facts.
