The Darrell Brooks trial was so entertaining, up to the point that I hate the guy for it. He shouldn't have the right to make out a mockery out of killing so many people and then laugh his way throughout the whole proceedings. I hate him because I smiled, I smirked, I giggled, I laughed... instead of having a more circumspect attitude as it would have fit the case. After all, we are discussing several people killed, some others damaged for life, and a whole community terrorised.

Judge Scherer needs to be removed from the bench. Victim impact statements aren't supposed to involve the defense team, nor challenge the fact that the defense is working on the defendant's case. They ABSOLUTELY can't bring up the children of the attorneys.
And then for her to belittle the defense? Unreal.
The hug at the end is a surefire way to get an appeal, and possibly even a mistrial.
Misconduct on every level from her.

Smollett didn't spend 150 days in jail. He got out after 6 days. His lawyers keep filling some type of continuance. They've done it 5 times now and the judge says this is the last time. So if his lawyers are not successful he will go back to jail for the remainder of the 150 days (I think).

Defendants should NEVER be able to cross-examine their victims. It is vile that this is allowed. As if these victims have not already suffered enough trauma, they are now forced to face their abusers head-on and endure invalidation, humiliation, and additional trauma. This should never be allowed, and I am absolutely ashamed and disgusted that a so-called "justice" system would even allow such a thing to occur in the first place. Whatever happened to protecting victims?

Alex jones should've taken a page from the national tv and paper press, and claimed everything was an "opinion". You know like what was happened to Kyle, Sanderman, etc. The rest of it was just amazing to watch. I'm so glad Amber finally got brought to justice for weaponizing the claim of domestic violence, and how easy it was to destroy someone's life like that.

    • @stephanieyee1990

Right but the defense also said their children were being attacked through the victims impact statements when literally they said “what are your kids watching on tv” and “put yourself in our shoes, what if they were your children.’
The defense was soooo outraged they’re kids were brought up when the whole world is curious about the same thing! How do parents defend child killers? No money in the world should be worth helping to put a child killer back on the streets…streets that their kids walk on too.
So I feel like it was a trend. 😂 The judge just had enough.
