    Her father said, "Mistakes were made." This was not a mistake! She strangled and dismembered the man. This is not an easy task. It would take time. She had plenty of opportunities to reconsider her actions.

      Everyone asking the Judge to give her parole, should be forced to have a person who enjoys to behead,disembowl,dismember others, released in their community,among them. They should even be mandated to offer their own home for her to live! To her "lovely"grandmother, I just want her to know we all saw the "amazing job" she did with the education of her own son (currently in jail) and her grand daughter (who we are seeing here,no words needed) AND now SHE IS RAISING Taylor´s CHILD!!! I really think the child has no chance to break the cycle with the same person whose "work" we are seeing here, is not stopped from raising that unfortunate child who has BOTH PARENTS IN PRISON along with THEIR GRANDFATHER. I hope social security keep watching this child tragically trusted to the guard of an elderly woman that we saw the fruits of her "work".

    • @JonahJayTaylor
      @JonahJayTaylor 3 місяці тому +1

      Fair but everyone experiences trauma differently. Comparing trauma is an argument that comes from ignorance that no psychologist would concede. What may be traumatic for you could be nothing to someone else or even worse for them. I'm not defending the actions of the defendant, but you have to realize this person is only a product of their environment. Our brains are being shaped even in the womb up until the age of 6 is the most crucial development. Even the defendant mentions being SA at a very young age and if you want to compare trauma then that would be up there in terms of being the most damaging to the brain. Basically, she never had a chance at life. Nonetheless, that doesn't suggest she isn't incompetent to stand trial, but we should be educating people of the warning signs so that they may be able to get help before events like this happen and maybe she will never recover but the brain is very much malleable and neuroplastic. The issue with current psychology is that we have a lot of information on how/why of the brain but not necessarily on how to fix that.

      Yep, and honestly and unfortunately prison will only make her more cold-hearted. You have to basically be that way to an extent to survive in prison, and I almost feel like she will enjoy that. Also, the entire trial she acted out and wanted to make herself look like a monster. I feel like she enjoys that label of being scary and she likes that her crime was shocking and wants people to be scared of her. However, I think even though people know what she did, there will be much "tougher" people, and lifers that have notning to lose who will show her what "scary" is. Just my opinion.
      I do have to give Shad's father all the credit in the world for forgiving her and showing her the kindness and mercy that she didn't deserve and definitely didn't show his son. However, it says a lot about his character. He has to be a good man and my heart breaks for him and especially his mother who found his head in a bucket like that. I cannot even imagine the horror she has been through. I honestly don't think I could go on if I found my son in that state. Just horrific. No amount of punishment for Taylor will ever erase that.

Being raised “in the system” is no better and many untold atrocities happen in such situations and the outcomes equally poor or worse in some cases. I was one of the lucky ones that got adopted, my sister as well.
      Sure, there are other adults related to either of his parents who may be willing to look after him but theyre all mostly older and liable to not be around during some crucial years. A boy with a broken family, troubled past, little to no social support eventually being thrust into a world that is not easy on men is a recipe for future disaster.

      She is not what we conceive a human being should be , yet she is one .. and it is hard to look at it because it reflects on us and hard to comprehend that one of our own species did what she did. There are still cannibal tribes in this same Earth and even some other societies where they actually dont bury their deceased ones and keep them in their own house. Humanity is complex and did not start with the creation of morality.

    It is sad she never had a chance with her upbringing, but that certainly does not get her any leniency for the crimes she committed. Her having lost someone who she cared about should have meant she knew the pain of that grief and to not want others to experience that let alone be the cause of that. From what we know Shad and her were best friends and lovers - which we would assume he was someone who accepted her and cared for her, that he was someone who was there for her and then she destroyed that. She has been let down in life, but she has also let down others through her actions. She has not shown any remorse for her actions and it appears that she has enjoyed causing so much pain. I agree with the Judge's sentencing and that she should be in jail for the rest of her life.
