Have had this light for alittle while now and low it very intense and awsome light penetration with so many diodes! Definitely one of the better lights on the market... Only thing I'd change is the lense covers I don't care for and the dimmer I wish it was 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 vs 25, 50, 75, 100 I also feel it be better suited for a 5x5 but that's just my opinion. Very nice you can remove bars and run however many you want... Overall excellent light!
I took my lens covers off. Take off the two screws on one end of the bar and just pull it up and off. It makes a huge difference in brightness. My room lit up with a cleaner whiter light and the plants love it
@@ADRIANUNKNOWN420 I was debating on it, if there a coating over the LEDs? Or are they unprotected once the lens is off? Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about the light is the lens cover's
@@macpac3803 No idea about the coating, but I don't foliar feed under the lights or ever get them wet so its just a win for me. The difference really is that big.
Lovin mine so far bro. Bought it while you had the Black Friday sale on it a few weeks ago. Will definitely coming back to you to shop in the future. My only gripe was having the boxes contents visible on the shipping box 😂.
Hey is it cool if you do a video on top 10 different grow lights like plasma SHPS neon what was its name sun light something im sorry I can't remember it but its mostly gas and rare metals. Oh there sulfur plasma grow lights to and arnt there medal lights to? Thoughts on this?.
Have two @ 1000w co2 pro and controller. These lights are straight beast! Running Athena pro sterile nutes. Day 21 from seed WoW didn't expect the growth 👏 🙌... no more expensive microbes.
I have this light for a year now (Lumatek 600w PRO) and its destroy 4by 4and I had some uncredibly large yields with it!!! The only downside is the cost here in Europe and its the UK brand🤔It cost 1150€,this is I don't know 1300 US!!!
@@glennhubanks4729 Yup, it's true. My last run was 1,5g.pro Watt. Some thimes is a bit more - when I weg longer and somethimes a little bit less, its depends!!!
Three things worth mentioning is 1.) the uneven PPFD mapping. No matter the distance of the light to canopy one side will always have higher PPFD readings than the other. Uniformity matters in my opinion as I would prefer that all my plants are getting the same amount of light on both sides of my tent. 2.) the amount of heat this fixture puts out in a 4x4 tent at 100% setting. Cold air must be drawn into your tent via a lung room or exterior temps need to be much lower to counteract the heat displaced by the light. Not ideal for confined areas. 3.) the price. Photontek was asking over $1300 US dollars but recently dropped their price to $999. I still think HLG makes a better light based on these 3 points.
Thanks for your inquiry! 1. The PPFD is easily uneven if the fixture is not PERFECTLY centered and there were not other factors to consider in the grow tent, like uneven walls and how the light is reflecting around these uneven walls. Also, a small difference in height from one side of the fixture to another can affect the PPFD significantly. I do my best to get everything straight and even but it is not perfect. It is a slightly crude test. I am not a light lab. 2. Yes, you will need ventilation in a tent when using this light unless your outer environment is very cold. Most growers use ventilation and sometimes AC to cool the grow space. It is recommended. If you want the light intensity, you will need to manage the heat. Light output and heat are tied. The more efficient your fixture is, the more light it puts out per watt or BTU. This fixture is quite efficient so you are getting a lot of light per watt. 3. This light was priced at $999 when it was first released. It was never $1399. We started selling it before any other retailer and had it listed in the $900s out of the gate. Wishing you a happy November!
Definitely a better light than HLG, I Like HLG and own one and the Photontek along with a few other bigger name lights and for flower especially the photontek x600 pro is a beast, I didn't have much of an issue with heat only during the summer but any light in the same or for wattage would. I grew some of the fattest most dense flowers under the Photontek! And I bought it like 4-5months ago for 900.00 Total shipped to my door through none other than LED grow light depot.
@@macpac3803 YES IM WITH YOU ON THIS BUDDY... photontek x600 is the way to go... only other led i would use is the luxx ledd 645w... jungle boys use a room full of these and they tried many spectrums and many lights... that speaks alot...
Seen you on a few vids ive watched. I know some companies will send you a light in turn for doing a little bit of advertising for them. I’ve never done it but I know a bunch of people I’ve met have. Just another option maybe 🤷🏻♂️.
I messaged these guys about buying this light and they REFUSED to tell me if it is a lumatek 2.7 or a 2.9 revision. Ignored my messages then told me to check the website over and over and over. I bought a HLG 650R shortly after. Thumbs down here for this company 👎
The PhotonTek Digital Lighting Controller is it worth it for the sunrise and sunset setting ?
This company is definitely legit. Great prices and awesome shipping/communication. I've ordered 3 products from here. Its my go-to for lights.
