I received my Migro Array 2 Pro for my 70x70 space yesterday. I am delighted. The build quality is instantly noticable. Had it assembled and installed in a matter of minutes. Highly recommended. The guys are very helpful as well.
I would suggest people consider 2 2x2 lights for a 2x4 tent. When I start 6 plants in my 2x4 I use red cups then go to 3 gallon pots. I really only need the 8 sq ft When flowering.Your leds last longer and you save on the electric bill because your not lighting your whole tent when using half your tent in veg.
For my first indoor grow I'm using the Grow 300 in my 4x4 and it's doing great. I'm only growing 3 plants at a time (lack of funds for 2 sets of lights), so I'm using the light as if it's in a 2x4. No complaints!
On my first run with the newer, PROGROW 320 by Grow Light Science. Have it in a 4x3 ft. Tent. Made PAR maps using the PPFD APP & a UNI-T 301BT. Getting it dialed in. Thanks for being awesome
If one isn’t growing full sun crops like cannabis I’ve been really happy with the fluence ray 44 in a 4x2. I don’t grow weed but I’m flowering English roses, fruiting small figs cultivars and grow alpine auriculas from seed in the winter with this 80w light. 3.5 years running no problems. Micros value calculation would be more interesting if he followed these cheap value lights for 2-3 years to assess long term reliability. I feel at ease going on vacation knowing that this light will not burn my house down. Buy once cry once.
2x4 tent is great with two Viparspectra 1500 series fixtures. Provides 300 watts and great coverage. I'd like to see your calculations considering this configuration rather than focusing on just one fixture.
I've been using 3 ts600 mars hydro lights in a 36"x20"x60" and heat was horrible, but results were great and electric usage was about 30.00 a month. In same tent I put 3 umax 1000 lights and had similar results and electric usage. Now I bought the grow 200 and no comparison my tent dropped 20 degrees Fahrenheit and my buds are twice as big in diameter I can't wait to harvest to see the dry weight difference and my light bill dropped 12.00 a month
An extra column summarizing the spread would be nice. Something like standard deviation / average or (max - min) / max could work. Great video, thanks!
Ask and you shall receive . Man Shane, you are awesome brother. Just a day after I ask what's the best light for my 4x2 and you post this !!! Thanks brother 🙏 great vid along with all the others 👌 👍 🙌 keep em coming !
I think you should have a column in the comparison matrix to describe the light spread over the intended canopy. Maybe coverage uniformity or some other way to describe the light spread across the canopy. You can see this in the PAR charts but it would be good to see a simple summary. I think the spread is undervalued. In my view even light spread is more important than the system efficiency. To me the Mars Hydro SP 3000 is more appealing than the HLG 350R, even though HLG has better system efficiency.
I really like the video, but it seems it's already dated. The GLS 300 is out of stock, and there isn't a no notification for when it will be in. They do have that for their new PROGROW 320 (makes me wonder if they are going to continue to manufacture the 300). Also, your MIGRO no longer has either of the models tested. From what I can gather, the new MIGRO array 4 scores between the old PRO and +RED models.
The Feit light is THE MOST IMPORTANT LIGHT. When u are not a part of the grow light 'algorithm' on google or UA-cam you will always get the lowes or home depot products first! They pay to have it so high and its not the kinda of money most other companies spend. So many have these light growing amazingly, in this little bubble never knowing. This feit being here will open so many eyes much earlier. I was going to get a feit light but i got lucky 6 years ago lol
I effectively got 6 array 4s recently in perpetual 4x2 zones. Results looking great but could do with the fixture being more rigid. Been looking up the small lights as I’m looking for a good propagation LED light. Was interested to see a recent-ish video about the blurple type creating good roots for early stages (admitting going against white light thinking)
Blueples are useless compared to the white type full spectrum LEDs man. They're efficiency is like 1.0 to 1.4 compared to all these lights in the 1.9 to 2.6 range, and the spectrum is junk since it lacks any green at all. If your looking for a light for earlier growth , look for a full spectrum that uses only 5000K to 6500K diodes for a more blue color temperature which will do good for sprouts/ veg or even cloning . IMO these full spectrum lights do just fine for seed to harvest or even cloning though, and a special or different light isn't needed. Even A little T5 fluorescent works great for early propagation. If you want strong fast roots , built a DWC cloner, very cheap and easy to build DIY, and grows amazing roots quickly, have 90 to 95% success rates with mine cloning
@@patcorriveau7790 it was this that I came across ua-cam.com/video/qetiP12Z4xY/v-deo.html I currently use t5 but was looking at changing over to LED (viparspectra 600 from migro small light video review). When I seen that video though I started getting curious about a more blurple type light for rooting cuttings better. I’d looked at building a cloner a while back as it goes but height an issue for me in my set up
@@dreid5189 pretty much any full spectrum light will work great, cuttings do not need much light at all, when I root mine I literally have one of my 100 watt LEDs hung at like 30 inches set to maybe about 15-20% . Right now I just have cuttings I cut lastnight, placed in the corner of my tent without any direct lighting on it whatsoever, and that works well for me I get 90+% success rates even in rockwool . Once I see noticeable roots I'll give them the lighting I mentioned above, about a week later I will keep the 100 watt light hung at about 24" set to 30-40%, and 3 to 7 days later will raise power to about 50% at 20 to 24 inches hanging height, whatever keeps them happiest. As for a DIY cloner, all you need is a short 3 gallon black pail(to keep light out) an aquarium pump ranging from 80 to 120GPH air rate, a couple airstones, some aquarium airline/tubing(black is best) some 1 inch netpots and 1 inch neoprene pucks. Cloners total height is only like 10 inches . If you want more info feel free to ask, I'm always trying to help people in the cannabis community . If you have IG , look up mmjgrowchannel . Not as active as I once was but I have a lot of posts and can DM on there 🤙👊💯
@@patcorriveau7790 I’ve done clones for years under the T5 and get good success rate using root riot cubes. Was more just seeing their results and wondering if they’d stumbled upon the best way for early clones to give better root production for better results later. T5 I pretty much put under full light about 4-6” away with no issues. I’d be dimming any LED though. I run a shelf system with clones at top, I’d pretty much got all the parts apart from jet system but just couldn’t make the height doable for me. Will look at it again if I reconfigure the set up as I fancy a cloner
My Mars Hydro LED light started flickering due to wires in the main wire harness connector burning. The connector was very hot to the touch. After sending a lot of pictures and info to Mar Hydro (Janice), they stopped communicating. I am afraid to use it because I don't want to burn my house down! @@mickfitz76 I love it. I had hi temp problems with the other leds I was using ( Viparspectra ). Leaf surface temps, temp at top of tent and overall temps are lower now. Seems like lower growth loves it also. Great light for the price
Have you looked at the stats of that light? It has 4,100 LED's with a shitload of deep red (the most expensive diodes). The regular 330W version is $560, and they have a 200W that is $300.
@@willj3145 Yeah, and I don't think plants care about how many joules the sun puts out per second, but they sure as shit grow better in the sun. Why would you think 5x the amount of deep red diodes is insignificant? I mean, it's not the light for me - their 200 watt version for $300 would suit my needs just fine. I just laugh at people on discord and forums crying about cheap Chinese lights and how they don't stand behind their warranties, and then when you have a well-built American light, people want them for Chinese slave labor prices.
@@ev25zv I do not really understand who is buying these things. yes it has 4k diodes, they will last longer, but it is still just 300 watts. Seems crazy when you can buy a 1000W with a few less diodes for less money.

Too many important informations missing for fair comparaison. Light uniformity, heat, drivers quality. For example, in all your testing, the migro lights have a very low hanging height, twice less than all others. Is that just to increase the efficiency on the tests, or does it have a better heat dissipation? 50k hours is huge, over 11 years runing 4 runs a year, but bad drivers and overheating can drasticly reduce that number to a couple of years.

I HAVE 3 GROW 300 ON ORDER NOW love the light i intend to TILE a room offsetting the grow 300 lights for optimal light on the canopy i have a 12x12 room split ac in place, i want to be able to walk around the plants and have the canopy head high and the plant on the tray at about sitting hight for me to work on the plant bottom 1/3 from a stool do to my extensive hip/lower back/legs injuries. how would you layout this room? it is strictly for flower i have a med plant count of 147 as per my permit . i will be using the SP 3000 AND THE 2-200WATT IN THE VEG ROOM
Kuarez has a 4-panel light similar to spider farmer SF 4000 it has the same remote as the maxsisun light that you just posted but they have different drivers and chip lights are different
Have you tested if aquarium lights are capable of giving good enough light for growing emersed plants? On the other hand if lights from this test would be sufficient for something like a paludarium?
Mar hydro sp3000 seems to be the most effective and efficient if you plan on having a full canopy in your 2x4 tent. Thank you for the video it was really helpful! Cheers!
Purchased grow 300 last year & love it. Went to buy 1 more for my 5x5 tent but can't find it any longer. What do you recommend I buy to go with the grow 300?
I am thinking about building 2 tables make them 36 inch wide and 9 foot long and use caster wheels on the tables and hang the lights in array move the tables out to work the plants i am running a shelf around the room so i can grow veggies along the walls
Hey Shane, I remember checking MIGRO products out a few months back but it was only available for shipping in the UK. Any chance you'll branch out internationally ? I see some lights of yours I'm interested in, but can't buy them 😕 which is a real bummer. Particularly your UVB fixture, seems to be better than any other UVB fluorescent bulbs on the market, wish I could get my hands on one man. Great video as always i love seeing these comparison videos , keep up the great work shane 👍
@@MIGROLIGHT awesome! A while back when I had checked(may of been about a year) it said if was only for EU or UK . Good to know you guys branched out into 🇨🇦 😎👌 I have UVA diodes in most of my fixtures but as I've heard you mention, it's not at all proven like UVB is for the benefits it produces. Thanks again Shane and keep up the great work 💯🤙🙏
Would be nice to know which light lasting the longest time... So you dont need to buy new, which makes the costs x2 or more... From today's sense, i like uk lights. They lasting longer than most from oversea
Any chance you could compare 4 x spider farm or another brand 450 watt quantim boards vs the sf7000 or other brand equal . I couldnt decide and got 4 450watts , wonder what actually gives better spread par to watt
I am planning to get the grow 300 usin your link. seems like a well rounded light aside from the diodes not being protected, perhaps I could make a shield for them. I wanted to get a 4x2 gorilla tent to go with it but not sure if that’ll work. What size tent would you recommend for a grow 300? And do you think it has enough blue spectrum to keep the plants from stretching in veg?
I have a grow 200 in a 2.5x2.5 I had no issues with stretching during veg. Very compact plants. I'm thinking of getting a second and a 4x2 tent so I can very the height between plants more. I have one that's more sativa dominant right now and I'm struggling with the height between the two plants because of the 8" difference between the two after stretch. Great functional light overall, but nothing fancy about it.
Grow 300 is perfect for a 4x2 that’s why it’s on the list. If I remember correctly the light spectrum is about 15% blue, according to Bruce Bugbee you only need 10%.
can they replace any summer bulb use at 300w for 4x4 to 5x5 spaces? quantum boards get to hot. They've been selling the $1000 big wide lights but thats like $7000+ for anyone that wants to grow 10lbs of rice.
It's mathematically impossible for the 3 highest wattage lights to cost the least in electricity per sq meter over 3 years. Maybe at a particular ppfd value with the more powerful light dimmed, but not with both running at full potential.

Hi Micheal,

Thanks.
I bought MARSHYDRO SP3000 1 then a second SP3000,1 MAXI SUN 2000 A GREENSUNSHINE V3180 and a GROW LIGHT SCIENCE GROW 300. I HAVE 3 GROW 300 ON ORDER NOW love the light i intend to TILE a room offsetting the grow 300 lights for optimal light on the canopy i have a 12x12 room split ac in place, i want to be able to walk around the plants and have the canopy head high and the plant on the tray at about sitting hight for me to work on the plant bottom 1/3 from a stool do to my extensive hip/lower back/legs injuries. how would you layout this room? it is strictly for flower i have a med plant count of 147 as per my permit . i will be using the SP 3000 AND THE 2-200WATT IN THE VEG ROOM
your disclaimer in the comments about the mars sp3000 also has me intrigued. which ones are daisy chainable?
Kuarez has a 4-panel light similar to spider farmer SF 4000 it has the same remote as the maxsisun light that you just posted but they have different drivers and chip lights are different
Have you tested if aquarium lights are capable of giving good enough light for growing emersed plants? On the other hand if lights from this test would be sufficient for something like a paludarium?
Already own 1 chilled x6 mini about to buy another one
I would like to see a review of Atreum's new hydra 3200 light. I'm sure it would be high on this list. Thanks
Review of its way, thanks
Hi Shane there is a v2 of the sp3000 any chance of getting one to compare? They say it's more efficient without the uv and far red. Thanks
This is from the latest one without UV and IR
Mar hydro sp3000 seems to be the most effective and efficient if you plan on having a full canopy in your 2x4 tent. Thank you for the video it was really helpful! Cheers!
See Atreum 3200
Chilled Growcraft x6 mini !
Based off my experience any light running meanwell drivers perform well .
Purchased grow 300 last year & love it. Went to buy 1 more for my 5x5 tent but can't find it any longer. What do you recommend I buy to go with the grow 300?
im still using the mars hydro light i bought about a decade ago.
I have the sp3000 in a closet grow n it's a beast
Could you test a sansi e27 type bulb? Be interested to see following your cheap DIY grow light fixture you made a few videos ago.
Great video. Thank you !
I am thinking about building 2 tables make them 36 inch wide and 9 foot long and use caster wheels on the tables and hang the lights in array move the tables out to work the plants i am running a shelf around the room so i can grow veggies along the walls
Thank you for your knowledge God bless you
I wonder how the chilled x3 mini 200w compares to the electric sky v3 es180 also a 200w?
I would like to know as well.
What do you think of the omega luna 630w plus? Would you be able to do a review on them? I notice you haven't ever reviewed any omega led,s.
What about viparspectra xs4000 in 2x4? It has a dimmer. Should cover the whole area
I have 2 xs2000s I a 4x4 tent and they are rockin!
HPS is going to be needed when it’s time to flip to flower 💯%fact LEDs just don’t finish
Lol
I’m looking forward for your review of the spider farmer SE 3000 light when you get it and have time for testing.
@+❶❺❹⓿❷❾❻❾❺❽❺What'sapp your not fooling me. Take your scam elsewhere.
@@ravenhunter451 well sade 👍💚
Thank you for the review looking for a light now. Which lights have the best warranty/history?
Dont do it, the whatsap named one is a scamer.
Hi, we ship globally. Please re-check the website shop
@@MIGROLIGHT awesome! A while back when I had checked(may of been about a year) it said if was only for EU or UK . Good to know you guys branched out into 🇨🇦 😎👌
I have UVA diodes in most of my fixtures but as I've heard you mention, it's not at all proven like UVB is for the benefits it produces.
Thanks again Shane and keep up the great work 💯🤙🙏
Would be nice to know which light lasting the longest time... So you dont need to buy new, which makes the costs x2 or more... From today's sense, i like uk lights. They lasting longer than most from oversea
Warning. The person with the whatsap in name is a scamer
Do you think the grow light science 300 would be enough for a 3x5 tent? Hope you come out with a 3x5 light list 👍
Hi,
Yes it would be fine for that space.
Thanks for sharing
Prove that $1200 light produces a better quality bud than a $200 light
What do you think about the vipar xs4000 in a 60x32x80 , with a light rail mover. How long should the light rail mover stop at each end?
Sp 3000 is a Pretty good light but it could be wider
Using Lm301h. White diode. I am reading several lights have 3.0 ppfd/watt is this correct? Thanks. For your help !
Marshydro SP3000 or Viparspecta XS4000 perfect for a 2x4
Can we get an annual review
Best light out for the money go for it. get the 300
4x4 would be a good video..it would be the best video
can they replace any summer bulb use at 300w for 4x4 to 5x5 spaces? quantum boards get to hot. They've been selling the $1000 big wide lights but thats like $7000+ for anyone that wants to grow 10lbs of rice.
500-1500 is what is needed in par
Have a question for you how are the electric sky 300 in comparison for a 4x2 tent any help appreciated thanks
Can you test Optic Led 320S or Optic Led GMAX 300, please?
Can you test the flora flex beam at 50 percent power in a 2x4 if you get the chance please?
It's mathematically impossible for the 3 highest wattage lights to cost the least in electricity per sq meter over 3 years. Maybe at a particular ppfd value with the more powerful light dimmed, but not with both running at full potential.
The calculation is based on delivering 800umols not the wattage
@@MIGROLIGHT thank you! I missed that part I guess. I was confused, but it makes sense now.
Can you do video on new timber quantum board and the new viparspectra KS series thanks
Why are we changing the hanging heights and tent sizes?
