      An LED will definitely help if you have trouble keeping the temperature down.

      In this setup because of the shape of the area we would go with 2 'Lumatek ATS Pro 300W LEDs'

    Does it save energy using a lumatek against other growlights?

      No, these particular Luamtek models are not among the most efficient. No idea why they don't use more diodes and increase their PPE. Obviously they like their profit margins.

    Hello everyone, I've had my Lumatek 300 W running for about 2 months now and I'm very happy with the product so far and the Lady's (Dark Devil Auto) are also working great, but I've had the problem since the beginning that the lamp is very bad strong heat produced (35°c in the tent/despite the fan activated carbon filter
    , does anyone know the problem or is this actually a production error for me?

      Damn i just get two 300 Pro , just because people said there will be no heat ! Ill try placed them next month and will tell you . I have one advice for now , maybe disable the tent so the heat can go away ...

      @@ghostfacestalkerofficial Im not using tent. Just the metal tubes from it to hang the equipment ! When my girls were seedlings my lights were 50 % power on 50 cm and start showing signs of burn , so i change the light to CFL . Now in vegetative stage I'm using 300 Pro a lot higher because I'm so scared for them. Maybe will put the lights down a little bit these days .... Anyway I don't have problem with the heat from the lights at all !

      Without looking at the light in person we couldn't say, we recommend returning it to the store you brought it from and seeing if they can help.

      To add to this, my photontek sq300 pro just up and died after 6 weeks of use. I am in the process of a return (just sent out today) and they will be sending a new unit. But it saddens me to see this wasn't a one-off issue. The store I bought from offered an equivalent replacement and I was eyeballing the Kind x330 LED because it had the IR spectrum and it was controllable! However, when I went and did some research Kind LED had a video out comparing it to other lights but A) they didn't do full PAR maps, they did some circular BS that ignored the outsides and some center areas (17 measurements taken), B) they did some weird math for their PPFD ratings and I did not come to the same results (they averaged the PPFD only from 12 of the measurements) and C) I could not find an actual independent review on this light...So I guess if this P-tek sq300 dies, I might just pull the trigger on a Kind LED despite all the above issues. Hoping the issues have all been worked out on these p-tek/lumatek lights. Fingers crossed.

    Hello, can I connect 2 ats 200pro without panel control?

      Yes you can daisy-chain them and you can use only one of the dimmers provided with the lights.

    How do these differ from the Photontek SQ series?

    • @growell
      @growell  2 роки тому

      They're pretty much the same lights. The ATS's are the European equivalent of the SQ series.

      @@growell Are these lights any cheaper then there American counter parts or no lol? I looked at the photon tek's and really like the lights. But, they are a bit pricey with all the alternative lighting companies out there putting out really good light's for much much much cheaper is all lol. I love these lights and think they are a really cool design. It's like a hybrid between a quantum board and a bar light lol lol

    hey mate just wondering if one of these 200W would be fine for a 3ftx3ft?

    • @growell
      @growell  2 роки тому

      For a 3ft x 3ft tent we'd opt for the 300W. You could push a 200W in there and get some results but the edges of the grow space wouldn't do very well.

    • @growell

      If dimmed to the right amount you can use these from germination through to flower. Excellent for numerous rootings or cuttings, and will gladly take 1-4 plants through to flower, though we'd want to switch to a 600W before flowering for maximum growth efficiency.

    Hi, is 3 of these ok or too much light for a 2 feet width by 6 feet length,normally have 2 x 600 hps,thanks.

    • @growell
      @growell  3 роки тому

      3 x 200W ATS would be fine, 3 x 300W ATS would be very high light for the space and you'd likely have to consider adding CO2.
      Plus with 3 x 300W ATS they'll be squeezed into that tent with very little room to spare.

      @@growell yeah but he can just run them dimmed down! That way if he ever intends on having a bigger space where he needs more power he will have it and NOT have to buy all new boards again lol. I do realize three will be a tight fit. But, that also means he will have extremely good and even light distribution lol. So yeah idk, I guess it just depends on what he plans to do with the lights in the future. If he just plans on running them in this setup and thats it then the 200s would be great. But like I say, the nice thing about most modern LEDS is that you can "Dim" them lol 👍✌️

    Not very efficient though, so there's that. Do a test with a par meter yourself. Definitely not worth the premium when many "budget" lights have better numbers.
