- If you have not played MGS Peace Walker before or just want to see the epic game again then this video might be for you. In this video you see all the epic mgs Peace Walker moments and story. The Movie version includes important gameplay sections, radio calls and every cutscenes.
Set in 1974 in Central America, the game follows the exploits of returning protagonist Naked Snake, now known as Big Boss, as he runs a mercenary unit using the resources he acquired from Gene at the end of Portable Ops, four years before. The game also adds more information behind the founding of the military state Outer Heaven.
I love how even though Boss and Snake are super spies they are just TERRIBLE at lying. "I'm here to photograph birds." "I'm a war photographer." Uh, yeah, the birds of the battlefield."
Greg Bey Watch Dogs of War... Dope movie from early 80’s.... Had Chris Walken,Tom Berrenger and a host of others... You’ll totally see the reference.
He's more of an infiltration & stealth kinda guy. Not... "performative deception" I guess is an applicable description? Whichever applies to "EVE"'s kind of deception.
It makes me laugh every time. The dude is a terrible liar.
Well yeah metal gear birds
I read this comment in Stephen Merchant's voice.
“2005 Miller is found assassinated in his home by an unknown assailant”
What a low blow that was...
@Doctor Mudd It was either him or Liquid himself, as it was said the assailant had skills on par with Solid Snake and Eli fits that bill pretty well

That was his famous pickup line

44:44 The best part of any MGS game ever.
My first Metal Gear game, I got it without knowing what to expect. It was one hell of an experience.
Same here. The whole comic cutscene didn't appeal to me at first, but the game was still fun.
I cried at the end of the game.Feels.
The graphic whores hate on this game. "Waaah, y es et a comic buuk. Knot byin' dis".
Willie Wonker I do appreciate that Kojima and the KP team are typically able to put across their cutscenes using the in-game engine. Back when they made MGS1 that was a rarity, but for Peace Walker and even Portable Ops? Totally worked. I loved seeing Shinkawa's work in Peace Walker as more than just promotional art or something used to just detail the story in a flat, static way.
I got MGS PO but I want to play this one
You know, compared to weapons invented 30 years before it, Metal Gear REX is starting to look pretty tame.
REX looks like a Lego set compared to some of the Peace Walkers in this game.
REX is still the sexiest looking MG to me.
+Antoine Spartaphèze I thought about it, and one thing that makes sense to me about REX is that the previous ideas for Metal Gears are just not as cost efficient.
+skippyball666 ZEKE also has a railgun, and sahelanthrapus might have one but it's not mentioned.
And yet Metal Gear REX is easily the most bad ass incarnation of the Metal Gear n

she played me like a piano and they played us like a damn fiddle!

First she played me like a piano... and now the enemy is now playing us like a damn fiddle!!!
Random bit of trivia: In the Japanese version of the game, when Snake's being tortured by Dr. Strangelove, the electric rods are actually tickle rods and she tickle tortures Snake.
I'm serious.
...really?
Yup,i played the Japanese version at first and the laughing sound from snake actually lets me fail the QTE once lol.
Holy shit it's funny as hell, I looked it up after seeing this comment..
Wtf!?!?
Physco mantis wants to know you location.
I'm not surprised.
So it took me YEARS of playing this game but i literally just realized when you're pulling out Peace Walker's memory boards for the final time, it emits a sound bite of The Boss being hit.
And ESSENTIAL viewing if you plan to play Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and MGS V:The Phantom Pain.
Really, that important? I'll watch it anyhow, I've been trying to catch up to the story so I'll understand The Phantom Pain somewhat. So far I've watched a playlist explaining the games story and I've read the Wikipedia stories. Now I'll just watch this and should be good.... Hopefully
***** yeah I've watched this one now, and I've watched a playlist of someone explaining the main story line of all games and I've read the Wikipedia in my own language to clear things up if I didn't understood. I've also played Ground zeroes so I hope I'm ready now and that I'll understand TPP
Pablo Schoots Be sure to listen to all the cassetes by paz. They give vital information about her personality.
Leo Keys done that, it's almost as if she slowly turns normal, like she doesn't want to kill big boss anymore.
+Mark Timmins Paz betrayed Big Boss because she's an agent of Cipher who wants to force Big Boss into cooperating. Big Boss is the main character of this game, of The Phantom Pain and of Metal Gear Solid 3. The professor wanted to strike Cuba from an American base so the US would get international blame for trying to start a nuclear war, which would make communism stronger internationally.
"Kaz, don't you think you should evacuate mother base?"
"Nah, we believe in you boss"
*less than a minute later*
"We've left a skeleton crew behind to operate the base"
kojima foreshadowing he's a double agent confirmed
Lol. But in context, I think it still makes sense since they haven't abandoned the base and are still fighting Coldman.
'She's drowning herself to stop the transmission' ;_; Yet again the boss, or the personalities and being of the boss sacrifices herself for her country and world.. Oh god the feels...
WOAH WOAH WOAH!
ARE WE SERIOUSLY JUST GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THE BIG BOSS OVERPOWERED METAL GEAR ZEKE WITH HIS BARE HANDS IN THAT LAST BOSS FIGHT?!?
well, thats why he is BIG BOSS ! XD no seriously, that was kinda weird
Just watched this and was thinking the same. He's like a Superman! Makes no sense
Lol this is one part in all games thay really.. stands out and.... is too wierd.
It makes more sense during Co-op when it takes everyone to do it.
All thanks to the power of anime and j-pop XD
She betrayed me, Kaz. In the end... she put down her gun. And when she did, she rejected everything in her life up to that point, including me.
I AM A GUN.
xdd good point
But otherwise there would have been nuclear war . Man Nakeed snake is using such a bad situation to justify an even worse turn if events started by him
At this point Snake betrays The Boss.
Solid Snake MGS2 How so?

"When Heavens Divide" is my favorite MGS song, so sad and powerful.. I remember hearing it non-stop when Kojima was at San Diego Comic-Con that year to promote the game.
“The best is yet to come” is my favorite 😅 MGS1
much love to Ashley Wood for the artwork, such a fucking amazing artist
Mainly due to Yoji Shinkawa overlapping it to refine everything so it looks good. That's the main reason.
Ashley Wood and Shinkawa are a legendary duo
@@Gadget-Walkmenwell put... the right cuts, selections zooms... he enhanced it what could be otherwise a generic concept art.
@@rmd9746 it’s not “concept art” but it’s called illustrations for the cutscenes and Shinkawa’s artwork overlapping Ashley Wood’s artwork made everything look SO much better! Including the cuts, edits, selections zooms, and sound effects, as you said! That’s the main reason for why everything is so good in this game!
Sloppy really
The best part of this game is the casette recordings. The tapes are long, but amazing. Gives you a whole new level of depth and backstory of the characters. Especially The Boss and Paz. You should definitely listen to them.
2:28:03 That scenes has to be one of David Hayter's best moments.
DO SOMETHING SNAKE
I felt it in my bones too.
For those who don't want to watch, but want a summary.
- Boss's new group Militaires Sans Frontières are asked to save Costa Rica from an Army who have taken over the country.
- Big Boss discovers this army is building a Metal Gear code named "Peace Walker".
- The Peace Walker was built as a Nuclear deterrent and capable of selecting suitable targets for nuclear retaliation.
- The Peace Walker is also fitted with the BS-Imago AKA The Boss AI.
- Created by Dr. Strangelove, The Boss AI was an AI based perfectly on The Boss.
- A CIA agent named Hot Coldman, attempts to feed the Peace Walker false data, to get it to fire at Militaires Sans Frontières.
- Coldman is killed by the KGB, but before he dies, he manages to reprogram the Peace Walker to fire on Cuba.
- At the same time he sends false data to the U.S, making it seem as though they were the target of a Soviet missile strike.
- Big Boss tries to convince the U.S that the missile attack is fake, in an attempt to prevent the U.S launching their own strike.
- Big Boss is unable to stop the Americans from attacking.
- The Boss AI, sacrifices its self to kill the false signal and prevents the world from Nuclear war.
- Big Boss uses his own group and the help of Peace Walkers developers, to build his own Metal Gear.
- This Metal Gear is stolen by a secret agent, sent by Major Zero.
- Major Zero intends on using the Metal Gear to launch Nukes at the U.S and frame Big Boss and his group for the attack.
- Big Boss decides to create his own Military Nation. Free of the exploitation and corruption of the worlds governments.
- He names this "Outer Heaven" and plans to use it to take on Major Zero and his group The Patriots.
- Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain take place between 1975 and around 1984.
thx alot

It's also important to know that Paz was the one who hijacked Zeke and that Kaz was in cahoots with Cipher all along and came clean at the end, at least partially. He didn't tell Big Boss he knows of the existence of his clones. This fact might be the most important bit going into TPP because it will probably be what causes Kaz and Big Boss to part ways.
+Verd254 Dude what the fuck, no TPP spoilers....
TokiMcNoodle That wasn't a TPP spoiler, it was speculation.
And it was wrong.
Verd254 Sorry, I just haven't beat it yet and I'm trying not to run into any spoilers lol. I know, it's like playing with a loaded gun looking through YT comments
Thank you for putting this up. I teared up at 2:33:35. The Boss was such a great character and her spirit took over and the peace signs showed up it was amazing. Call me a hippie but I really do wish we could all live in peace and never have to worry about killing each other.
One day, we'll get there.
Probably not in our lifetime, but someday. Some century, hopefully....
dem honey nut feelios, son.
Wow, the production quality is better than i thought! It's like watching a movie. Well done Kojima. This was worth the watch.
That moment Snake's desperation reaches it's boiling point: 2:29:09 Always gets me, same with his pleas to the Boss AI before.
I like how Coldman says "You missed on purpose" to Zadornov.
There are to ways to interpret this phrase and both are logical:
1) He missed the gunshot to keep him alive and input the code.
2) Zadornov is planning to use Peace Walker for absolutely other means that were intended in the first place, thus "missing the purpose".
3) Zadornov wanted him to suffer before dying.
Didn't feel like grinding to see the second ending, so I used this for that, so I can start on Ground Zeroes tomorrow.
Andy Gilleand yea...it's free on Xbox right now...
Icey76 I got it free on ps4 in June
Andy Gilleand hey you're that guy that uploads game movies
***** yep. Don't be expecting any Metal Gear movies from me though. Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes are probably the only ones that would work in my style, but if I were to do it I would prefer to do all of them. It's just the other ones are too long and tell too much of the story through the codec, so I don't think they would work well.

The only thing I hated about this game was the shit load of ammo you needed for each boss, and they took FOREVER to kill.
Especially in Peace Walker Battle 2 and every boss after that.
Fucking hate it when they are just machines LET ME FIGHT THE "BOSS" AGAIN LIKE IN METAL GEAR 3
I mean, the pod itself need to be nuked with atomic bomb multiple time to be destroyed completely, you are lucky you can win againt those machines with just RPGs and guns.
I will say this guys, personally I think Peace Walker was the link that completed the Saga, don't get me wrong MGSV will have a special place in my heart but it was more like a love letter to the fans.
Peace Walker on the other hand felt like the final chapter, the ending didn't show Miller becoming enemies with Big Boss but it can be left up to the player and even Big Boss's vision of his world can be left up to the players imagination.
Overall Peace Walker was a chapter that wrapped everything up nicely. Big Boss's story was pretty much complete in this story.
"We're still alive. We're still fighting. And there's always another reason to keep on living" - This is why Snake is the goat.
Man to think Hideo Kojima developed this entire complex story about Shadow organizations, insane Technology predictions, And spy vs spy stuff over a 20ish year span since the first metal gear back in 1987 for the NES It's a complex masterpiece .
Actually not the NES surprisingly, it was originally made for the MSX spectrum. Although, i wouldn't blame anyone for thinking that
Watching in preperation for Ground Zeroes and The phantom pain.
Thanks for making this :)

@@MixWeapon mgs5 has the worst story in the series but it also has plenty of positive as well like art direction, graphics, some level of humor, and easily the best stealth action gameplay.
It’s narrative is massively flawed but damn there's still alot to gain from it all.
Mgsv is clearly unfinished however the story points it does make are just as strong as the story in any metal gear game.
And the gameplay is the peek of the series.
Repetitive? Yeah. Flawed? Duh. Good game? In my opinion yeah.
Phantom pain is the most beautiful painful experience in of my life I still feel a deep sadness and happiness that I was able to experience the ultimate metal gear game but yet I know there was more to the story
What I love about Peace Walker and how it differs from the other MGS games is how this game interact with the world. I mean - if you look at MGS1 or MGS3 they are entirely closed in the world limited to the borders of the levels, with only small interaction with the rest of the world. In MGS2 you only have the ending at Manhattan, with the rest of the game in some fictional places. MGS4 in 3rd chapter takes you to the world (Europe), but still there is a huge war going on, and you get to see only a glimpse of it. And then in Peace Walker it's nearly the same, except the one scene. When Big Boss calls NORAD it's probably the only time in the whole series, when someone from the "outer" world reacts to him actually being who he is. It' the only time in the series, when it's not any main character who reacts to him being a Big Boss. In this short moment you realize what kind of legend he became and what being a Big Boss really means fot the entire franchise.
What about The Phantom Pain?Diamond Dogs got involved in the Soviet Invasion Of Afghanistan, fighting the Soviet Army in the process and the Angolan Civil War,where they fought on behalf of the MPLA fighting against mercenaries from South Africa.

That J-pop song near the end sure caught me off guard. But it was hillariously awesome. Only Hideo Kojima could get away with just absurdity.
Actually there's an explanation for it that this video doesn't cover. It's in the Codec tapes you can listen to that are earned from fighting the harder versions of the mechs. Probably not featured in the video because it's hours of just codec recordings which makes for great listening but poor viewing as a movie.
The short version is that while staying on Mother Base, Paz started to like being part of MSF. MSF was planning on celebrating a festival they call Peace Day and as part of that, Kaz had roped Paz and Zadornov into being a band as their names all mean peace (Paz is vocals, Zadornov plays a therimin and Kaz plays something else, can't remember) and wrote a song to go along with it, which is the J-pop song in Paz's fight. Paz, while initially reluctant, began looking forward to singing the song on Peace Day and intentionally stalled her sabotage of Zeke so she could attend Peace Day then continue Cipher's plan. Cipher noticed this and pressured her into continuing. The day of the boss fight (1 day before Peace Day), while working on Zeke, Paz was spotted by Chico who alerted the base to Paz's betrayal.
The song is a recording from a rehearsal of the song for Peace Day.
What I want to know is why Paz has to drive Zeke using a snorkel and in her underwear.

My favourite mgs game And probably game ever, the art the atmosphere, the story I love it.
This game made me interested in the cold war, which is still very relevant today.
The way I see it, the theme is the fleeting nature of peace. In the world with our ongoing conflict and the conflict in ourseleves, especially in our generation, which is constantly ongoing.
In terms of this it is the conflict of the bosses reconciliation of his countries betrayal of his country, being lost without his mentor and his desire for peace despite only knowing war.
There are no truly evil or bad people, just a never ending conflict each that sets in motion the other.
Yet in the world we love amazing acts of kindness an love and peace happen despite the warful nature of the world, because we think with our hearts not our heads.
And these people may seem nothing like you expect them too.
In the end, I think.we have to follow our hearts because the power of love is always stronger Than the power of fear
My Favorite game to
Even though I know its not the best metal gear, to me it will always be the best one
It's really great how Kojima kept the continuity behind The Boss's belief of the lack of absolute enemies, and the sacrifice she made but in the form of a machine

Why does it always have to be nukes?
Why can't, for once, be something else?
"Hey, we built a 50 ton two legged laser firing robot!"
"That's nice... but... know what it needs?"
"NUKES!!!!!!"
"HELL YEAH!!!!!"
Can't a 50 ton two legged robot be frightening on its own? Nope, always with the nukes.
It's true, and there is something to be said for a 50 ton two legged laser firing robot. But on the other hand:
"Hey, looks like they built a 50 ton two legged laser firing-"
"Blah, blah, blah, just launch a nuke at it."
Nukes may not win for cool factor, but they do win for effectiveness. :)
if you make something better than weapons made to destroy cities in a flash, then nukes won't be important, maybe a bomb that can destroy planets?
Because without nukes, a 50 two legged robot it just a massive target for helicopter missiles, tank cannons, battleship missiles and cannons, etc. Tactically speaking, the metal gear concept is garbage, but the ability to launch a nuclear warhead, completely undetected, without a need for a silo, anywhere in the world, is strategically terrifying.

To me, one of the biggest oversight in this game must be the lack of facial animation on Snake in the in-engine scenes! He's always wearing the same cry baby face. He's much more expressive in MGS3!
Sure, the Snake of Peace Walker is a much more cynical and tired man than the witty and cheeky fellow from Snake Eater, but that still bothers me. :D
***** I don't think so. The PSP is considerably weaker than the PS2. The HD version is just a higher resolution image with AA on it. Its not gonna look any different.
+Moshugaani Still, it's a damn full MGS experience on a handheld, this was mind blowing when it came out.
+Moshugaani Well it was the PSP
+Moshugaani They did that because in MGS3 Snake didn't kill his freaking mentor and loved one until the end. That's why they made him more tough and sad looking. Besides, this game was made for the PSP.
Dom/\triX Yup! He's quite the different man already in PW, not to mention TPP!
I cannot believe how good this game is. There was not a single conversation I was not into. Too bad it is being held hostage on a goddamn portable console. The whole potential thrown out of the window. Plotwise by FAR the best MGS
@@DavidVegaBurgos Thats not what I meant. Its core gameplay is designed for a very limited portable console - a remaster for PS3 is not gonna change anything about it. What I meant is that I cannot believe that this great and actually important plot to Big Boss just happened to be a sidething for PSP. Should have gotten just the same treatment as the other major MGS titles.
This is the one torture scene in the entire franchise that actually hits the hardest.
When the torture scene is an actual torture to play

..wow
"Metal Gear Gear"...?
@@TheBlackDemon1996 "it can't be..!"
@@TheBlackDemon1996 It seems that, after all this time, the was to surpass Metal Gear was to just add more Gear.
so much effort to make this video, thanks!
Want to say thank you. It's like I played and experienced the game. Watched the whole thing and was satisfied.
I usually don't comment on videos, but wanted to say thank you for taking the time and putting together this masterpiece
I never got around to playing this game- but this seems incredibly well-edited and fantastic quality. Thank you so much for doing this- will be watching through before playing through The Phantom Pain. You enhance my experience greatly with this video.
you did a decent job,
it is one good story to be shared.
peacefully epic.
2:42:55 did anyone else knew that was foreshadowing MGS V Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain?
Jamais vu
God I just love how he surprises people with Fulton extractions
Snakes shakes fists "She played me like a piano!" Now we know what instruments these guys hate...

Yep, that’s Japan for ya...😂
fvck off sounds like a "breathing through the skin" excuse lmao
@@fvckoff2698 Also because all the G forces acting on the body of Paz is probably going to churn her insides into flesh mush without the water.
Yeah, I am not comfortable with that at all since Paz is supposed to be 16. Like this is... this is REALLY dicey, even by Kojima standards
3:07:21 one of david hayters best performances as snake imo

The conversations between the Big Boss and Strangelove is STRANGEly funny to me.
"The boss is alive!"
