My only issue with him is he didn't wear the mask for the whole movie. Just 2 scenes. But he did amazing and looked so badass

In the 2000's Black Mask was given a major spotlight when he was turned into Catwoman's archnemesis during Ed Brubaker's seminal run on Catwoman that deconstructed and redefined Selina as a character as well as her relationships with Bruce, Batman, Holly, Maggie, Leslie Thompkins and others. In Brubaker's run artist Darwyn Cooke gave us her modern catsuit with the zipper, collar, goggles, and aviator style cowl. And this never went out of style. Brubaker's tenure set him up to be the most twisted and dangerous Batman villain trying to one up the Joker between No Man's Land and War Games. I've always been annoyed that adaptations always get his character wrong because since then we've had this from other media: * The cartoon *The Batman* where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask. * *Batman: Under the Red Hood* where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask. * The Arkhamverse where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask. * The Birds of Prey movie where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask. * The Arrowverse where his daughter Circe us the Black Mask. * The anime _Catwoman: Hunted_ where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask.

Sups (Doomsday, zod, lex, brainiac, and yes darkseid)
Thor (enchantress, Loki, malekith, surtur, and Hela) maybe the Midgard serpent or the destroyer armor can take one of their places
F4 (Galactus, annihilus, dr doom, super skrull/the skulls, and Rohan) and namor could take one of their spots
The flash (captain cold, zoom, gorilla grodd, reverse flash, and either captain boomerang or mirror master)
They all have great big 5s

one of my favorite black mask stories is batman strikes #39. it's not very complicated but has a great scene where black mask talks with bruce wayne. check it out sometime
Wow imagine if Black Mask and the Happy Mask Salesman from Zelda met hopefully if that happens Black Mask doesn’t find out about the Majora’s Mask
love black mask he's such a cool character and when I heard he was teaming up with zsasz in birds of prey I was so excited and then I watched it and all I can say is look what they've done to my boys (it wasn't good though ewan played him well)
Ya know, for being the “World’s Greatest Detective”, many of his villains have tricked him multiple-times with their disguises and whatnot.
So is it a retcon that his mask always looked like a skull? Because I haven't been able to find if he ever swapped out the orig. mask.
Thanks for the video you're awesome bro!!!!
My favorite is definitely the one form The Batman
Ewan mcgregor killed it as black mask. Woulda been cool to see more back story that included stuff from this origins. But I could totally see how this can be an influence.
Frank Grillo who played Crossbones in Captain America would be badass as him.
Ewan McGregor killed it in the role. Being obsessed with masks✅ being a ruthless crime lord who tortured his victims ✅ "Is she fucking laughing me ?!" Lmao loved that scene.
Love ur channel and thx for this vid
This guy should have been introduce in one of the Batman movies not as a Birds of Pray villain. This guy is crazier than the Joker.
Loved the character ever since I first saw him in The Batman TV Show
Awesome Video I like it :) Please, make an origin video of Darksied, BUT of the Jack Kurby the king's era.
Saying, "just read this paperback of 5 stories" is a pretty big copout compared the the effort you guys put into other reading recommendations
I think you guys should do more content about Cyborg! Still love your channel🔥
Why does he look like a younger Trump at 2:29 ?😂😂
Origin of taskmaster please.
Is there an explanation to his newer looks? Like in 6:34 that hardly looks like a mask anymore, not with the way he can articulate in it
I dont know whether you guys see it, but black mask looks like red skull
I thought it said ”Origin of Taskmaster” and was full on confused for a solid 2 minutes lmao
Dyslexic?
Please do the history of the penguin next
“Point in case”? Uh, “case in point”
Do a Superman red son origin
#FACTS
He is coooooooool
Black mask is such a badass name
In Arkham Origins, Roman's girlfriend was named Tiffany
Black Mask has always been my favorite Batman villain. He just doesnt get enough spotlight. Ewan did awesome in his portrayal though!!! Im not convinced the ending of BoP is the last we see of him. BM had body doubles...
Can you do a history of Locke and key, it recently got a Netflix series
SPOILER!!
Honestly, they could bring him back in a prequel movie and add more to his backstory. Or even a quick cameo in "the batman". Or make him a main villain in "the batman 2" if it gets one.
My only issue with him is he didn't wear the mask for the whole movie. Just 2 scenes. But he did amazing and looked so badass
Oh man he was ruthless, when Harley introduced him there's one shot of him in the mask shooting a pistol, I swear it looked like it came from a Batman comic.
@@lonewolfgamingplus379 it was probably the one he mentioned in the video. Or atleast something close to it. But he did fantastic. And his look was amazing. I hope he gets a prequel to see more of him. I was pissed he died. But it was cool how it went down
Perfect antagonist for the second season of The Penguin
I already knew about Black Mask I'm just here cause I love the character.
What a great comic
am I the only one who thinks that thumbnail looks like a titan?
This villain is my daily mood
I've always been annoyed that adaptations always get his character wrong because since then we've had this from other media:
* The cartoon *The Batman* where he was just some comical mob boss who wore a black mask.
I like that False Face has ties to the 66 Batman.
His girlfriend reminds me of the episode of B.A.S 'IDES OF MARCH'
Love this video would love to see an origin of Nova (Richard Rider) video
Love this show
Ewan should play riddler
Yo yo sup 💪💖💖💖💯🔥💯Deep entrancing meditation in progress!
My top DC Villians
1)The Riddler
2) Black Mask
3)Posion Ivy
You'd really put Riddler over Joker and Scarecrow
@@-thesalemcrow-5941
1 Deathstroke

3 reverse Flash
L's Successor I could understand that
