DC remembers when they actually did that. DC remembers how the fans HATED it. It's why they literally shelved the "deeper" version of Lobo in favour of the Main Man.

The deal between Brainiac and Tribb, if you look deep into that, Tribb was so old and so smart that when she searched the Universe for something to stop General Chacal and his forces she deduced that Brainiac was the only one who could do something about them. Brainiac was the only one able to "kill the unkillable," so to say. It just goes to show how formidable and dangerous Brainiac was, even before Brainiac got his immortality.

It's hard to make sense out of certain limitations of characters sometimes. Last I recall, Lobos race can regenerate from a drop of blood, nearly unkillable, so I'm trying to understand how the female Brainiac slaughtered them all?

@@GoatedMerc No he can not. He went full force on LoBo and could not keep up. Superman had to run and fake his own death. So LoBo would not kill him. That hold back was one writer just saying that for Drama effect. As you seen here Superman was beat and held till LoBo set him free.

I kind of miss the Czarnians having been a species of sappy, saccharine, happy nuclear families who somehow birthed Lobo.
Multi verse sucks. How many times are we gonna kill the same character. Cheap as fuck no wonder Manga is killing comics.
Superman never uses his most powerful ability. His SPEED. He can move at the speed of light. He should be able to move and hit so fast only others with similar abilities, like the Flash, could ever hope to keep up with him. Enhance his already planet smashing physical power with velocity like that and he should be able to instantly atomize every thing he encounters, including Darkseid and Doomsday. Writers always just have him punching like a goon, but that speed is truly what kills. Sure, Superman doesn't kill, but up against someone he knows can take it, like Lobo, he should be zipping around so fast that he's already hit Lobo a thousand times before he can even react to it.
Writers write the winners, like history and politics.
If Superman has Superspeed, and Lobo, Doomsday, and Darkseid can keep up with him, that doesn’t mean superman isn’t using super speed, it means the other villains have comparable speeds

Brainiac, in my opinion, should never be defeated. With how smart that he is and all of the resources that the takes and the many experiences that he has had with the heroes and everyone else and everything like that it is hard to believe that he would lose. Brainiac being super intelligent and a scientist, it would stand to reason that he would test out his plans several times before he initiates them, and along with his past experiences, I don't think that he should be beaten.
Now I know some people will say that that could apply to fifty percent of all supervillains, but why I mainly say these things about Brainiac is because Brainiac is an engine of logic. He is not swayed by emotion. Like when you have Dr. Doom or Riddler is coming out on top, and he is winning, but his ego and his pride and his arrogance and stuff get in the way of him thinking clearly, so they mess up. It is not that way with Brainiac because he is just based on logic.

That makes a lot of sense. It is truly hard to write a top tier genius character, because - as intelligent and creative as the writers may be - those guiding his character are not MENSA level geniuses themselves. They are going to write at their IQ level, unless they are doing a TON of research and weaving that all together. And that's fine enough, because we're here for a good time, and I'm certainly not saying I'd be able to do any better.
I do agree that Brainiac should always have an escape/back-up/ some sort of way that this "defeat" actually furthers his ends - a sort of "you think you've won, but you'll soon learn better..." before this "avatar" disappears or loses power, because this wasn't the true Brainiac. Something like that.
Beat him by cheating; long as it’s written cleverly it’s a satisfying trope and the villain still comes off as smart and prepared.

He should not be outsmarted, sure, but why not beaten? In a fight the more logical and more intelligent fighter still won't win if the opponent is simply stronger/more powerful or better at fighting. Highly logical thinking can also be a downfall, such a mindset makes it hard to anticipate irrational behaviour or attacks.
Mike Tyson would beat Albert Einstein every time, though i imagine Einstein's trashtalk would be fire.

The problem with the Lobo story is if he can die and come back then how would his whole race die out due to him killing them when they can’t truly die in essence. The DC mindest on this story makes little to no sense at all
I recall hearing somewhere that only members of Lobo's race can kill each other. Why exactly? I don't know. Comic logic, I guess. But, Braniac Queen kills them, so I'm really not sure

Only up to 6:50 in the video & I already know how it's going 2 end. Lobo double crosses these other guys that look like him because know real Czarnian would work for/under Brainiac. So at the last second, he'll save Superman & the 2 of them team up to save the day. Having mutual respect for eachother while still being enemies.
I thought czarina's were peaceful by nature and it was just lobo who was a pyscho? That's why he killed his whole race. I can get maybe a small group of them surviving like 2 or 5 and than coming to earth to get revenge on lobo and that's why they are cruel and talk like him but why do they look like him too? Overall Supes always win over Lobo. Its just for sake of plot Lobo could not be beat. Its comic. They could use whatever shenaginan to come up with a reason. Tech, Supes always held back, heat vision until no molocule are left, thrown into a star, back hole and a hundred more. And equally many ways to make a character come back from all those things.

Why are these titles always actual click bait? Which one of these was "The only villain Superman can’t beat"? You show Lobo in the thumbnail, but then you have multiple villains battling Superman at the same time. And he didn't defeat any of them, Luthor did.
This is why I hardly read comics any longer. Too many versions of heroes and villains that can do anything at any point in time, depending on the mood of the writers.

That's so dumb. It's no wonder DC isn't even close to Marvel. Power balance is difficult to do on the best of days. Give the Lobo people Earth, leave it behind, give rise to the queen, problem solved. Take care of them later if needed but not in a way where they're next to critical systems that can literally destabilize the entirety of your existence. I mean come on. "Brainiac" doesn't live up to the name when stupid simple mistakes are made like that. The writer decides who wins, but make it believable.

I haven't watch the whole video and im commenting but im doing it based on the title. And yes Superman has beaten Lobo many times, while Lobo is a hard fight for Supes Superman pound for pound is usually stronger than Lobo, while Lobo has a healing factor when he came back from just about death superman's durability is otherworldly and doesn't get hurt often. Lobo can hurt Superman and Lobo doesn't only fight with his fists he uses powerful weaponry and technology which damages Superman more than his fists. While Lobo doesn't have any moral qualms and he is evil however he is more than a Anti-hero who only care for money nothing else. So their fights with superman usually end up both of them teaming up to fight against the big bad. Yes, Lobo can beat Superman using everything at his disposal mostly weaponry and technology, he is strong, strong enough to give superman a run for his money and to be able to take superman's hits normally. However Superman is always holding back even against someone like Lobo very seldom if at all Superman fights with all of his power. Superman is afraid to use all of his power because he might destroy and he doesn't like to fight he always tries t have his enemies surrender or stop. Superman is a pacifist at his core and doesn't enjoy fighting or challenging powerful enemies Superman is not Goku, and he doesn't fight with all of his power he holds back consciously and subconsciously only against Darkseid and Doomsday has he ever gone all out but the one beaten badly and then brainwashed him and made him evil and the latter killed him. Yes Superman can beat and has beaten Lobo
This is a good example of what's wrong with DC recently. They keep giving control of things to people who have no talent and basically no creativity. This is the same company that once took Superman, a character designed to be as close to morally perfect as can be, and made him cheat on Lois with a mermaid. Some of the butchery of existing material in DC is so bad it makes the MCU's recent failures look almost like art in comparison, and that's quite an achievement to be avoided since Captain Marvel's MCU version exists.
But Superman won the fight. It just that he gets captured by lobo and his crew.😅.
