I watched this movie yesterday and holy moly did they do a good job. I love this new riddler, he is an actual villain instead of a goofy side character. Easily my favourite character

We’re all up for more of Edward Nygma/Naston appear future forms of media no matter what.

It really peeves me off when directors and writers will change the name bc it "doesn't sound realistic" there are more unrealistic sounding names in real life.

Riddler is one of those perfect Batman villains who can fit in any type of story, a sad one ,funny one , and even a thriler. I am so happy he is getting recognition😃
I saw The Batman and it’s an absolute masterpiece. Robert Pattinson is the best live action Batman and Paul Dano absolutely nailed it and is one of the best comic book movie villains ever. I love the movie so much.

I really like the riddler, he seems to be a villain who was based off of the zodiac killer One of the most intelligent villains I’ve seen for sure. Isn’t threatening physically but mentally creates absolute havoc and had Batman be his soldier in bringing the truth to light and as smart as Batman is, he didn’t even realize it

I agree. Gorshin and Carrey player their Riddler characters well. Also Cory Michael Smith played Riddler well in the Gotham TV series too. Like the new twist to a more darker version of Riddler in The Batman movie
Jim Carrey was good but Gorshin is the guy who put the Riddler on the map. Before Gorshin, he was an obscure character with just 3 appearances in the comics. 2 in 1948 and one in 1965.

Ever since I as a kid, I always saw him as a A-list Batman villain and one of the underrated Batman villain. His portrayal in media are typically hit or miss as he's treated more as a joke villain or a c-list that no one takes seriously, so I'm happy his portrayal in the Batman movie made newer and casual fans find him more a threat.
Fun fact, in season 2 of the 60's show, when Riddler was played by John Astin, he had a question mark cane. I'd actually forgotten and thought Carey's version did it first, but no. Unfortunately, Astin also went back to the spandex instead of Gorshin's spiffy suit. Another fun fact, the suit was all Gorshin's idea. He was also the only one on set who was a fan of the comics, as he had been reading them for some time and actually knew of Riddler and the others beforehand. In case you couldn't tell, I really love the Frank Gorshin Riddler.

Wasn't a big fan. Not wearing a silly green outfit OK. But the S&M headgear still made it hard to take him seriously as a lead villain. Then there was the muffled voice which had you wanting to ask the person next to you what he said every time he spoke. Except that if you weren't listening closely you wouldn't understand batman either.
I really love Batman TAS Riddler. It was my first time seeing the Riddler, and the episodes were always so dream like, mystifying, and intriguing, especially when watching as a kid. May be the nostalgia, but the Riddler is hands down my favourite villain.
Batman being my favourite hero since I was 4 years old I never really liked the riddler but this new the Batman movie was nothing short of awesome and it’s made me really like the riddler portrayed this way

*What scares me about Batman's villains is that they're troubled people who were once good people. You see in the Riddler's case, if he had a good influence, he would have used his wits to help Gotham. But he already had an evil inside, just the trauma and the arrival of Batman were enough for him to show who he really is.*
Villins and Heros come from the same, the only difference is, heros try to make it so no-one has to felt what they did, and villins wish for everyone to feel the pain they felt

I also really liked the Telltale Batman's take on the riddler. He's an old school former crime boss who comes back after years away and is even more sadistic and brutal than before
How's everybody forgot about Gotham? Cory Michael Smith I think did a real good riddler. I did like Jim Carrey riddler. I have not watched The Batman yet. I did liked Cory Michael Smith so I think I would compare with Smith as Riddler
I'm kind of surprised you completely left out The Riddler's complicated love-hate relationship with *Poison Ivy.* The two share a very interesting history in the comics(although most of them just consist of Nygma getting violated by her).
Riddler has always been one of my favorite Batman villains, and I’m glad they gave him a revamp in live action that isn’t so goofy. Now I just want to see my all time favorite Batman villain get into a serious movie: Mr. Freeze.
If it weren't for the joker, the riddler would be the most psychotic and challenging of the bats villains. He is a perfect character for any detective story. It plays into that mystery and intrigue very well.
I am not sure I want to see a serial killer version of one of my fave Batman villains so the new movie is not for me but I loved the Gotham version. Iprefer my Riddler with more class than this new movie provides.

Dano does a great job in the new movie and really found his new origin as basically Bruce's opposite foil to be a fascinating critique of the Wayne privilege.
Batman and hush the comic book was one of my favorite story arcs I know him as Tommy Elliott Bruce Wayne's high school bully Bruce Wayne punches Tom Tommy Elliott with his father's watch for A high school bully talking about Bruce Wayne's parents back in high school throughout the television TV series I would love to see that character and the Batman film series with Robert Patterson when Batman takes on his greatest enemies as hush.

The most memorable exposure of Hush to me was with the Arkham Games. He was so interesting and unique as a villain.

Our last riddler adaptation was fun. This one, was amazing. Go see this movie in theaters please. Reeves deserves a lot of credit. Awesome movie

Batman being my favourite hero since I was 4 years old I never really liked the riddler but this new the Batman movie was nothing short of awesome and it’s made me really like the riddler portrayed this way
as much as I love Paul Dano's riddler, he needs his fanciness back he's missing his flair lol. imo Gotham had the best riddled because he's fashionable and scary (from a psychological standpoint, not a physical one)

Gotham took some liberties.
I feel like it would've been good to cover the Batman: Earth One version of Riddler. It seems to be extremely similar to the nee film.
*What scares me about Batman's villains is that they're troubled people who were once good people. You see in the Riddler's case, if he had a good influence, he would have used his wits to help Gotham. But he already had an evil inside, just the trauma and the arrival of Batman were enough for him to show who he really is.*
Villins and Heros come from the same, the only difference is, heros try to make it so no-one has to felt what they did, and villins wish for everyone to feel the pain they felt

FUN FACT The Riddler had deathtraps and played mind games in THE ANIMATED SERIES !! The animated series Riddler came out before SAW (jigsaw) & se7en !!! I would say for the "LOOK" they went for a more modern serial killer styled updated HUSH costume ! The CALENDERMAN is more like ZODIAC KILLER !
Court of Owls will be a part of the 3rd movie cause Matt wants Mr. Freeze leading up to court of owls and Talons ! In comics Mr Freeze help court of owls keep their deadly assassin Talons cryogenic sleep /animated suspension (as cold is their weakness and makes them slow.... & that talons are like living dead who won't rot if put in cryogenic sleep). Talons later in future come after Mr.Freeze as Court of Owls see him as a major threat !!!
But otherwise i would love to see characters like Mad Bomber& Grey Ghost, Proff. Pyg, Hugo Strange, Dr Death, Phantasm & Mr Bloom!
I loved the whole character from the start to the end.
I also really liked the Telltale Batman's take on the riddler. He's an old school former crime boss who comes back after years away and is even more sadistic and brutal than before

I'm kind of surprised you completely left out The Riddler's complicated love-hate relationship with *Poison Ivy.* The two share a very interesting history in the comics(although most of them just consist of Nygma getting violated by her).
It's satisfying when Batman beats him to a pulp, but I kind of felt bad for him when he got brutally beaten up by Poison Ivy in that one comic

If it weren't for the joker, the riddler would be the most psychotic and challenging of the bats villains. He is a perfect character for any detective story. It plays into that mystery and intrigue very well.

I am not sure I want to see a serial killer version of one of my fave Batman villains so the new movie is not for me but I loved the Gotham version. Iprefer my Riddler with more class than this new movie provides.
