Thanks a lot Mike! I always use your production techniques in my music and videos. I'm 15 and I have my own small home studio. I would love to do a remix. I missed the last one because I was very busy : ( Hope you have another one planned!
I know right.. as a grown up person UA-cam is sometimes really hard to stomach. I absolutely adore this channels style. One of the reasons he got my sub.
I'm a med student who got into music production on the side and I was really close to giving up until I found your videos. I love your explanations, they're clear and concise, and most importantly you explain the "why" and not just "how", because I don't wanna just be sitting here turning random knobs until I find the sound that suits me, I want to understand why it sounds the way it does. You're really saving my life here, great content!
FM Synthesis is one of the best ways to make bass growls for dubstep, hybrid trap, heavy DnB, etc. Also, you did a fantastic job of explain everything in this video. Even tho I’m not a beginner, these videos give me a good refresher
At this point there is no excuse to not start with producing, when channels like yours explain EVERYTHING and make it so easy to get into. Great job, just know that you are inspiring a lot of people! Thank you
These are really good lessons! The information is incredibly compact, there’s never a wasted moment. I could tell you put a lot of effort into scripting and planning the roadmap for these lessons, you didn’t just open fl studio and start talking. You were meticulous, concise, and incredibly informative. I found that if I zoned out for a moment I had to rewind because in those two seconds I missed something important. A-class work, on both this and the previous video, you’ve got a sub from me
I cant imagine the people who had to figure this out without this video. Ive been making music for about 3 months and now i just bought serum and this is the best video ive seen BY FAR
Thank you, sir. You have helped me greatly in breaking out of the "preset rabbit hole" and create my own patches. It helps me CREATE the sound I'm looking for, rather than wasting money on VSTs and preset packs that may or may not have the type of sound I'm going for. It's so liberating. Trying to make somebody else's sound/patch fit your needs is expensive and tedious. Having the ability to fire up almost any Synthesizer and create the instrument I want is the greatest freedom I have experienced in 12 years of audio engineering.
I love the way you don't just plow through something assuming everyone knows what you're talking about. Thanks for sharing your know-how. Greatly appreciated.
@@inthemix haha the first chord to me sounded like bag pipes, and then I was like oh that's ghosts and stuff. Another great video man. I appreciate how you explained learning about new synths. It can definitely be tricky at first, especially if you don't know what you're looking for!

Sorry, got to say I have learnt more in the last 30 mins on sound design than during 100 hours of mucking around and trying other demos. This site is a must for newbies and I suspect many more budding musicians. SUPERB!!!!!!!!
The beauty of a video like this is that the content is almost timeless, so as it is filmed and voiced so well it will be useful for years to come. Thanks man!
You can't believe how helpful this is to understand how the sound works and how to do something original. Thank you so much!

3:30 bassline of Kaleida - Think ;) I remember trying to make that sound on my Microbrute when I started to learn about synthesis a few years ago: I used the triangle waveform and it felt close enough but now I think there's indeed some FM in that sound.. Super inspiring video, thank you!
I'm so glad I found this channel! These tutorials are so good and I don't even mind the slightly longer videos because you're quiet and not loud and obnoxious so I can actually keep my attention on the video and to what you're saying.
