Having the updates in the same video makes viewing so much more meaningful. More work for you, but it’s so satisfying and informative to see how things propagate in different mediums. Thank!
I like propagating my expensive plants for two reasons: the first reason is to spread the cost and the second reason is as a form of plant insurance. Watching your propagation videos has given me so much confidence to cut my plants for propagation.
Really enjoyed this one. I appreciated the analysis of which ones you wanted to water propagate vs soil propagate, and the updates which are very interesting as always!
Starting to regret not getting myself a six-pack Sharon when I had the chance XD just have six-pack King. Love your videos and the updates you include!
Just got a sharoniae the same day as this video released since he mentions that it's a fast growing and easy to care plant. it is. it grows from a single cutting to now it has 4 leaves+1 node in 2 months.
Love your video....I just got my order of melano narrow yesterday, that arrived broken from the stem 😭😭😭 & now it's being water propagated to grow roots from the tiny air roots... hopefully it can make it
Interesting to see this technique in practice on indoor plants. I'm going to try air layering my Piper Crocatum to propagate. Apparently they're notoriously difficult to successfully propagate in non tropical climates.
oh yay! this is SEAN, the usual SEAN w his tees.... sometimes stylish dashing sometimes ... very down to EARTH ;) ;P woahahahhaaa... nice! P P P propagation !!! Yes, as part of insurance or cost / investment recovery - good to propagate. M early to the game so VERY helpful to watch and learn more about diff growing/propagation videos!
When it came time to start propagating such a beautiful and expensive plant, I felt you needed a strong gin and tonic and a bit of hand holding. I heard your voice shake....at the moss pole “this is turning into a disastrous video, “ ugh.....suspense....⏳⏳⏳I thought you would smash the pot to get the mother out, (like before) I was surprised you performed like a midwife birthing the mother from her pot. I would have repotted her with some treats (worm castings etc) as thanks , and to help her after her major surgery. The follow ups were terrific as always , and showed that you truely are a green thumb. Well done.
I love your videos Sean, I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you! I’m curious what the name of the purple powder pesticide/fungicide product is that use a lot?
I would try looking online locally first, some rare plant shops or collectors may have them. If not you may have to get then shipped from Indonesia, Thailand, or South America 😅

This is a very clever and convenient method for air layering!
Really love it when u make a cutting video and then show the progress in next few weeks. Cheers!!
I just propagated mine, all the leaves falling but the good news, the new stem is very healthy.
That’s such a beautiful species
I'm jealous of your humidity..your plants are amazing
I love the updates!! thanks!!There have been so many plants that I never know what happened to them!! Updates keep us connected to the plant!
I love making this format too 😀
Love your stream of consciousness style, so funny and entertaining and relatable!
I LOVE these videos with updates! I learn so much about plants from you, thank you for your work!

This philodendron is regal...love it💕💕💕💕
Another great video, with excellent tips and explanations! And funny again too: the roots-sticking-to-terracotta-pots struggle is real! 😂🤣😂
I am going to try the air-layering with plastic pot wrapped around. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plans have a blessed day
I just got a top cutting! So excited to grow it out!
@onlyplants Your vids keep fertilizing my love for plants. Thanks Sean, I just subscribed.

It’s so beautiful 😍

Ooo the piper is so easy in my experience but yeah it may have to do with my climate here
@@onlyplants there's a scarcity of care tips on this plant in English. Hopefully it makes it to one of your videos in the future.
21:51 Thank you for calling. I'll prepare my cleaning tools
Love your work!
Lovely
Beautiful 😍
Very nice job, I remember commenting quite sometime ago on a video of these and you put back plant was my name. (Sharon) 🌱🌿💚
😀😀
Wow...mirip anthurium veitchii yah...
Iya tapi lebih cepet numbuh nya dan sedikit lebih murah
@@onlyplants owh..baru liat,masuknya phlillo yah?
In 2024 (USA) these are like $50 from reputable sources. So glad I waited.
Yes these have fallen in price 😀 im
Glad because they are so easy and beautiful
Nice
This plant is the philodendron version of the king anthurium!

Thank youu 🙈
I usually poke the plant from the bottom holes of the pot with a stick if i find it difficult to pull out
Whoa that is a good idea 😀

I love your videos Sean, I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you! I’m curious what the name of the purple powder pesticide/fungicide product is that use a lot?
furadan 3gr, in indonesia we use it almost for all plant
Thank youu
Its made with carbofuran, under different brand names depending on where you live.
Awesome video. Can share the brand of fungicide that you are using . Thanks
Fungicide - dithane
Pesticide - carbofuran under brand name furadan
I m trying to find this plant I really want it
💚
I think you are waaaay more patient than you give yourself credit for.
I like to watch you 🙋🏻♀️
Thank you 😀
👏🏻👏🏻😊
That is why I will never use wire mesh type moss pole for future philo propagation reason .
Haha Can’t believe you said you’re not the most patient person. You spend months making one video. I think that’s a lot of patience!
Haha this is why I have 1,500 pots of plants... cuz I couldnt wait for them to grow
Hey shaun, is this the same plant you bought intially as a veitchii all that time ago? I remember you id'ing it as definitely not a veitchii 😅
Nopeee that ones still tiny! Maybe about 1 inch across
How do you tell the difference between a veitchii and a sharoniae? Hope this isnt a stupid question.
Veitchi has thicker leaves, maybe more dark green? Their lobes/ears are far closer together...
Did I get that right? Haha Im not sure!
@@onlyplants haha I have no idea. I def meant to type “I hope this isn’t a stupid question” 😂 fixed it.
💪🏼🤪😎🥰
ok, i think it's your most expensive plants. but I more liking patriciae than sharoniae
Is there a difference between this and sharoniae goat?
I’ve never heard of the Sharoniae goat… but there are a few forms of it going around I think.
@@onlyplants I just ordered one from Ecuagenera so I came here to scope out the videos on them (: I hope it’s similar. Yours is a ✨ stunna ✨
Sir this is call king
May I know how much is this plant locally..
About 5 to 7 million Indonesian Rupiah 😀
Is this the same as philodendron tenue?
Nopee the tenue is stubbier. Its on my wishlist
May I know what is the color blue violet pellets you put on top of your plants?
furadan 3gr
Carbofuran 🙈
Where can I buy one
I would try looking online locally first, some rare plant shops or collectors may have them. If not you may have to get then shipped from Indonesia, Thailand, or South America 😅
