Did it work? I was thinking of buying this board from Newegg with 5600x. And not sure if it needs bios update. Because they give you no info on it

Hi, did they ship this board with the required update for 5000 series AMD cpus? Just ordered mine and I'm worried I may have to update bios
The b550 motherboards were made for the 5000 series CPUs so the bios will support them.
I just got unlucky with this motherboard the other day. Shipped with P1.10 and I got a Ryzen 5 5500. So now I'm in the middle of looking for a different board to buy in a few days that has a BIOS flash button just in case..
Michael, why don't you ever run bios update within Windows?
I do occasionally if the manufacturer allows it. Most of the ones you see me flashing during build streams are from motherboard manufacturers selling to end users. The way they do their bios flashes is what you see in the streams. You copy it to a flash drive go into the bios and find the menu to flash the BIOS.
Do you have to jump start the mother board every time?
I think you might be referring to jumping the two pins together to get it to power on. Once the computer is assembled and you connect the power button from the case to those two pins the power button is what you use to start the computer. All the power button is doing when you press it is connecting those two pins.
I did not see the installation of the back plate ?
The back plate came already attached to the motherboard.

xaxaxa dude in 28.50 i said to myself how he can get a post screen without an Hdmi cable plug in the GPU , and after a minute you said figure out,nice build by the way and nice video this happens to me also when i try to figure out why my printer isn't print and dont recognise it from my pc and as you can guess i dont connect it to my pc usb port😅😅
